Scientist Warned Baxter Would Release Plague in Ukraine
NoWorldSystem.com
November 21, 2009
Bio-scientist Joseph Moshe who was arrested by the FBI tried to warn the public about Baxter’s sinister plan to release a plague by creating a vaccine bio-weapon that would result in hundreds of deaths.
That is precisely what occurred in the Ukraine, a plague infected 1.5 million people, over 80,000 being hospitalized and leaving 328 dead. The WHO (World Health Organization) claims that the virus running through Ukraine is nothing more than the same A/H1N1 influenza experienced around the world and that it’s not pheumonic plague. Many suspect that this a is a pheumonic plague that is ten-times worse than swine flu influenza that is spread from person-to-person. Reports of the infected say that the patient’s lungs tend to feel a burning sensation and are as “black as charcoal”.
Joseph Moshe is a bio-scientist working for a unit within Mossad and had dual national (Israeli-American) citizenship, Moshe was later seized for blowing the whistle on Baxter International by contacting radio show and the White House, warning them of the pharmaceutical companies’ plot to spread a plague from Baxter’s Ukrainian lab. He knew the FBI was bugging his house, so he decided to pack up his things and head for the Israeli consulate where he was met by armed LAPD/SWAT, FBI and the Secret Service surrounding his car. He was pepper-sprayed, tasered and is now being held in the Patton State mental hospital in California, his next court date is December 25, 2010.
As to what exactly was made at the Ukrainian lab and if it has or has not been released on the Ukrainian people or will be used elsewhere remains to be seen. We may never know the full story of Joseph Moshe knew about Baxter International, he may never be released or will probably be ‘suicided’ in the mental hospital just to shut him up for good.
Another scenario on how this disease was released on the Ukrainians is by airborne contamination, according to local newspapers hundreds of phone calls from Kyiv residents and business owners close to the area where it was reported that planes and helicopters spraying “aerosolized medication” over the city during the time-frame between October 28 – October 30, 2009. Local business and retailers were “advised” to stay indoors during the day by the local authorities.
After several reports came in about suspicious activity the government authorities forced radio stations in Kyiv to deny the eye witness accounts. Online forums, websites and blogs flooded the internet when the government cracked-down on public broadcasts. There was also reports of helicopters spraying aerosols not just over Kyiv but L’viv, Ternopil which is basically the entire North-West of Ukraine. The spraying was vehemently denied by the Ukrainian government’s Office of Emergency Response. [Source]
This takes me back to when reports surfaced about gelatin-like rain pouring down over a small town of Oakville, Washington in 1994. The gelatinous like substance contained live bacteria that made an entire town sick for months.
This is a lot like what happened in the Ukraine, and is the likelier scenario on how this infection was spread. A bacterial pneumonic plague is of course much more virulent and lethal than the ordinary virus that is spread from person-to-person via viral shedding.
Regardless of whether the Ukraine plague was from bio-weaponized vaccines or airborne contamination, it should always be taken into account that governments have been using their own populations as their own experimental lab for decades. It always seems to lead back to the military, government and big pharma using us for their own megalomaniacal reasons and the mainstream media is used to hype up the fear to sell more vaccines.

Man has microphone cut off after asking Gore about ‘errors’ in film
Washington State Journal
October 12, 2009
In what organizers said was a rarity, Gore took half a dozen questions from journalists, including one from Phelim McAleer, an Irish filmmaker who asked Gore to address nine errors in his film identified by a British court in 2007.
Gore responded that the court ruling supported the showing of his film in British schools. When McAleer tried to debate further, his microphone was cut off by the moderators.
Al Gore’s 9 Convenient Lies
UK Telegraph
October 11, 2007
Al Gore’s environmental documentary An Inconvenient Truth contains nine key scientific errors, a High Court judge ruled yesterday.
The judge declined to ban the Academy Award-winning film from British schools, but ruled that it can only be shown with guidance notes to prevent political indoctrination.
In the documentary, directed by Davis Guggenheim, the former US vice president and environmental activist calls on people to fight global warming because “humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb”.
But Judge Michael Burton ruled yesterday that errors had arisen “in the context of alarmism and exaggeration” in order to support Mr Gore’s thesis on global warming.
His criticism followed an unsuccessful attempt by Stewart Dimmock, a Kent school governor, to block the Government’s plan to screen the documentary in more than 3,500 secondary schools in England and Wales.
The father of two claimed An Inconvenient Truth included “serious scientific inaccuracies, political propaganda and sentimental mush”.
The film’s distributor, Paramount, warns in its synopsis of the film: “If the vast majority of the world’s scientists are right, we have just ten years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tail-spin of epic destruction involving extreme weather, floods, droughts, epidemics and killer heat waves beyond anything we have ever experienced.”
But the judge ruled that the “apocalyptic vision” presented in the film was politically partisan and thus not an impartial scientific analysis of climate change.
It is, he ruled, a “political film”.
The nine alleged errors in the film
1. Mr Gore claims that a sea-level rise of up to 20 feet would be caused by melting of either West Antarctica or Greenland “in the near future”. The judge said: “This is distinctly alarmist and part of Mr Gore’s “wake-up call”. He agreed that if Greenland melted it would release this amount of water – “but only after, and over, millennia”.”The Armageddon scenario he predicts, insofar as it suggests that sea level rises of seven metres might occur in the immediate future, is not in line with the scientific consensus.”
2. The film claims that low-lying inhabited Pacific atolls “are being inundated because of anthropogenic global warming” but the judge ruled there was no evidence of any evacuation having yet happened.
3. The documentary speaks of global warming “shutting down the Ocean Conveyor” – the process by which the Gulf Stream is carried over the North Atlantic to western Europe. Citing the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the judge said that it was “very unlikely” that the Ocean Conveyor, also known as the Meridional Overturning Circulation, would shut down in the future, though it might slow down.
4. Mr Gore claims that two graphs, one plotting a rise in C02 and the other the rise in temperature over a period of 650,000 years, showed “an exact fit”. The judge said that, although there was general scientific agreement that there was a connection, “the two graphs do not establish what Mr Gore asserts”.
5. Mr Gore says the disappearance of snow on Mt Kilimanjaro was directly attributable to global warming, but the judge ruled that it scientists have not established that the recession of snow on Mt Kilimanjaro is primarily attributable to human-induced climate change.
6. The film contends that the drying up of Lake Chad is a prime example of a catastrophic result of global warming but the judge said there was insufficient evidence, and that “it is apparently considered to be far more likely to result from other factors, such as population increase and over-grazing, and regional climate variability.”
7. Mr Gore blames Hurricane Katrina and the consequent devastation in New Orleans on global warming, but the judge ruled there was “insufficient evidence to show that”.
8. Mr Gore cites a scientific study that shows, for the first time, that polar bears were being found after drowning from “swimming long distances – up to 60 miles – to find the ice” The judge said: “The only scientific study that either side before me can find is one which indicates that four polar bears have recently been found drowned because of a storm.”That was not to say there might not in future be drowning-related deaths of bears if the trend of regression of pack ice continued – “but it plainly does not support Mr Gore’s description”.
9. Mr Gore said that coral reefs all over the world were being bleached because of global warming and other factors. Again citing the IPCC, the judge agreed that, if temperatures were to rise by 1-3 degrees centigrade, there would be increased coral bleaching and mortality, unless the coral could adapt. However, he ruled that separating the impacts of stresses due to climate change from other stresses, such as over-fishing, and pollution was difficult.
A Government spokesman said he would not make any further comment on the case today.

Obama’s Military Is Spying on U.S. Activists
Amy Goodman
Common Dreams
July 29. 2009
Anti-war activists in Olympia, Wash., have exposed Army spying and infiltration of their groups, as well as intelligence gathering by the Air Force, the federal Capitol Police and the Coast Guard.
The infiltration appears to be in direct violation of the Posse Comitatus Act preventing U.S. military deployment for domestic law enforcement and may strengthen congressional demands for a full-scale investigation of U.S. intelligence activities, like the Church Committee hearings of the 1970s.
Brendan Maslauskas Dunn asked the city of Olympia for documents or e-mails about communications between the Olympia police and the military relating to anarchists, Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) or the Industrial Workers of the World (Dunn’s union). Dunn received hundreds of documents. One e-mail contained reference to a “John J. Towery II,” who activists discovered was the same person as their fellow activist “John Jacob.”
Dunn told me: “John Jacob was actually a close friend of mine, so this week has been pretty difficult for me. He said he was an anarchist. He was really interested in SDS. He got involved with Port Militarization Resistance (PMR), with Iraq Vets Against the War. He was a kind person. He was a generous person. So it was really just a shock for me.”
“Jacob” told the activists he was a civilian employed at Fort Lewis Army Base and would share information about base activities that could help the PMR organize rallies and protests against public ports being used for troop and Stryker military vehicle deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. Since 2006, PMR activists have occasionally engaged in civil disobedience, blocking access to the port.
Larry Hildes, an attorney representing Washington activists, says the U.S. attorney prosecuting the cases against them, Brian Kipnis, specifically instructed the Army not to hand over any information about its intelligence-gathering activities, despite a court order to do so.
Which is why Dunn’s request to Olympia and the documents he obtained are so important.
The military is supposed to be barred from deploying on U.S. soil, or from spying on citizens. Christopher Pyle, now a professor of politics at Mount Holyoke College, was a military intelligence officer. He recalled: “In the 1960s, Army intelligence had 1,500 plainclothes agents [and some would watch] every demonstration of 20 people or more. They had a giant warehouse in Baltimore full of information on the law-abiding activities of American citizens, mainly protest politics.” Pyle later investigated the spying for two congressional committees: “As a result of those investigations, the entire U.S. Army Intelligence Command was abolished, and all of its files were burned. Then the Senate Intelligence Committee wrote the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 to stop the warrantless surveillance of electronic communications.”
Reps. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., Rush Holt, D-N.J., and others are pushing for a new, comprehensive investigation of all U.S. intelligence activities, of the scale of the Church Committee hearings, which exposed widespread spying on and disruption of legal domestic groups, attempts at assassination of foreign heads of state, and more.
Demands mount for information on and accountability for Vice President Dick Cheney’s alleged secret assassination squad, President George W. Bush’s warrantless wiretapping program, and the CIA’s alleged misleading of Congress. But the spying in Olympia occurred well into the Obama administration (and may continue today). President Barack Obama supports retroactive immunity for telecom companies involved in the wiretapping, and has maintained Bush-era reliance on the state secrets privilege. Lee and Holt should take the information uncovered by Brendan Dunn and the Olympia activists and get the investigations started now.

Biggest Newspaper In Holland Says Dutch Intelligence Helped Prepare Imminent Attack On Iran
De Telegraaf front page says sources inside AVID helped CIA map air attack
Steve Watson
Infowars.net
August 29, 2008
The biggest Newspaper in the Netherlands today devotes its front page to news that the Dutch intelligence agency has helped the CIA prepare for an air attack on Iran which it now believes is imminent.
AVID, Holland’s military intelligence service, has pulled back from operations it was carrying out inside Iran as it believes an American led attack will go ahead within weeks according to De Telegraaf’s sources.
The headline reads:
“AIVD is calling back spy because of US plans
ATTACK ON IRAN IMMINENT”
De Telegraaf reports that the decision has already been made by the U.S.
to attack Iran using unmanned aircraft. Potential targets are said to be nuclear facilities and military installations. The latter have been mapped by the CIA with the help of the Dutch secret service.
A portion of the article reads:
Good sources have declared to the Telegraaf that the AIVD has been operating in Iran for the last few years with the purpose of the infiltration and sabotage of the weapons industry of the Iranian republic.
The operations are said to have been “very successful” but have recently been put to a halt because of american plans for an air attack. Information regarding the AIVD operation has been shared with the CIA in recent years according to the sources.
Iran is probably working towards an atomic bomb and refuses to comply to western demands to stop enriching uranium. In june Israeli vice president Shaul Mofaz made the statement that an Israeli attack is inevitable if Iran continues its quest for atomic weapons.

Iran warns any attack would start ‘world war’
AFP
August 30, 2008
A senior Iranian military commander has warned that any US or Israeli attack on the Islamic republic would start a world war, the state news agency IRNA reported on Saturday.
“Any aggression against Iran will start a world war,” deputy chief of staff for defence publicity, Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri, said in a statement carried by the agency.
Iran is under international pressure to halt uranium enrichment, a process which lies at the core of fears about Iran’s nuclear programme as it can make nuclear fuel as well as the fissile core of an atom bomb.
“The unrestrained greed of the US leadership and global Zionism… is gradually leading the world to the edge of a precipice,” Jazayeri said, citing the unrest in Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan and Georgia.
“It is evident that if such a challenge occurs, the fake and artificial regimes will be eliminated before anything,” he said, without naming any countries.
Iran does not recognise Israel, which is often described by officials in Tehran as a “fake regime.”

Radioactive Waste From Iraq Wars Dumped in U.S.
Doug Rokke, Ph.D.
American Free Press
July 21, 2008
During the summer of 1991, the United States military had collected artillery, tanks, Bradley fighting vehicles, conventional and unconventional munitions, trucks, etc at Camp Doha in Kuwait.
As result of carelessness, this weapons depot caught fire with consequent catastrophic explosions resulting in death, injury, illness and extensive environmental contamination from depleted uranium and conventional explosives.
Recently the emirate of Kuwait required the U.S. Department of Defense to remove the contamination. Consequently, over 6,700 tons of contaminated soil, sand and other residue was collected and shipped back to the United States for burial by American Ecology at Boise, Idaho.
When Bob Nichols, an investigative journalist, and I contacted American Ecology we found out that they had absolutely no knowledge of U.S. Army regulations and all of the medical orders dealing with depleted uranium contamination, environmental remediation procedures, safety and medical care.
They had never heard of Environmental Protection Agency guidelines for dealing with hazardous waste such as radioactive materials and conventional explosives byproducts.
The trans-shipment across the ocean, unloading at Longview, Washington State port, transport by rail, and burial in Idaho not only endanger the residents of these areas, but pose a significant agricultural threat through introduction of pests, microbes etc. foreign to our nation.
Sadly, the known adverse health and environmental hazards from uranium weapons contamination are in our own backyard. The EPA has listed the former Nuclear Metals-Starmet uranium weapons manufacturing site in Concord, Mass. on the EPA’s Superfund National Priority List because it poses a significant risk to public health and the environment.
Consequently, the community in which our nation was born on April 18, 1775, is now the location of America’s own closed dirty bomb factory that will endanger the health and safety of the descendants of the Minutemen.
The previous delivery of at least 100 GBU 28 bunker buster bombs containing depleted uranium warheads by the United States and their use by Israel against Lebanese targets has resulted in additional radioactive and chemical toxic contamination with consequent adverse health and environmental effects throughout the Middle East. Israeli tank gunners are also using depleted uranium tank rounds, as photographs verify.
Today, U.S., British, and now Israeli military personnel are using illegal uranium munitions—America’s and England’s own “dirty bombs.” The U.S. Army, Department of Energy, Department of Defense and British Ministry of Defense officials deny that there are any adverse health and environmental effects as a consequence of the manufacture, testing and/or use of uranium munitions. They do so to avoid liability for the willful and illegal dispersal of a radioactive toxic material— depleted uranium.
The use of uranium weapons is a crime against humanity. All governments must force cessation of uranium weapons use. Israel should provide medical care to all DU casualties in Lebanon and clean up all DU contamination.
U.S. and British officials have arrogantly refused to comply with their own regulations, orders and directives that require U.S. Department of Defense officials to provide prompt and effective medical care to all exposed individuals. They also refuse to clean up dispersed radioactive contamination as required by Army regulations.
Dr. Doug Rokke is the former director of the Army’s Depleted Uranium Project. It was his task to clean up the radioactive battlefields of the Gulf War.

TSA & Police Use Excessive Force On Woman
KARF 11
July 11, 2008
A New York woman has filed a $10 million lawsuit stemming from her arrest at Washington’s Reagan International Airport last year, an arrest she says was unwarranted and abusive.
Police say 31-year-old Robin Kassner was obstructing justice.
Security cameras captured the incident and the video has now been made public.
Surveillance video from inside Reagan National Airport shows Robin Kassner standing with a TSA agent who sorts through her bag.
Moments later, a Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police officer steps in and pulls Kassner to the ground.
Robin Kassner says “I was thrown across the room, into a metal chair and into a lady, and I was on the floor and realized I was being beat up.”
Kassner says police officer Michael Urbina then used excessive force in handcuffing her.
Robin Kassner says “they picked me up and slammed me onto a metal table. Officer Urbina took his forearm and smashed me against the table.”
But the police department says Kassner was not cooperative and the video from the February 2007 incident doesn’t tell the full story.
In a statement, airport police say “the passenger was interfering with the screening process and refusing to follow security procedures.”
Kassner, a Manhattan marketing executive, was charged with disorderly conduct.
That charge was dismissed.
But 18 months later she is still facing charges for obstruction of justice.
Kassner insists she didn’t do anything wrong.
When asked if there was any provocation? Robin says no.
After the incident, Kassner was detained in a Virginia jail cell, left to think about why she wasn’t allowed to board the shuttle back to new york.
Robin Kassner says “I was scared, I was begging them to get off of me, and I thought I was going to die.”
Due to the lawsuit being filed airport officials have declined to comment further on the matter.

TSA ’officials’ adorned with Homeland Security badges
USA Today
June 17, 2008
Screeners at the nation’s airport checkpoints are going to start wearing police-style badges — but real officers aren’t too happy about it.
Some sworn officers fear airline passengers will mistake screeners for law-enforcement officials with arrest powers.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is starting to equip its 48,000 screeners with 3-inch-by-2-inch, silver-colored, copper and zinc badges that will be worn on new royal-blue police-style shirts.
The attire aims to convey an image of authority to passengers, who have harassed, pushed and in a few instances punched screeners. “Some of our officers aren’t respected,” TSA spokeswoman Ellen Howe said.
Actual airport police, who carry guns and have arrest powers, worry that their own authority will be undercut by screeners who look like police. Every major airport has its own police department or is patrolled by local police.
“A lot of cops at airports are not real thrilled about it,” said Duane McGray of the Airport Law Enforcement Agencies Network, an airport police association. “It’s another way of saying (to airport police), ’You’re not important.’ “
Network president Paul Mason, chief of the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport police, worries that passengers will mistake badge-wearing screeners for police and expect them to handle crimes. “There are going to be some growing pains on the part of the (screeners) and police,” he said.
Agencies often give badges to workers who aren’t law-enforcement officers. At the TSA, badges are carried by 1,200 inspectors who check that airlines, airports and others comply with security rules. The Environmental Protection Agency gives badges to its 250 workers charged with overseeing cleanups of oil spills and other hazardous releases, EPA spokeswoman Roxanne Smith said.
Airport screeners will get badges after finishing a two-day training program covering issues related to badges as well as how to talk to passengers in a calming manner. Unlike police, who often are required to carry their badges while off-duty, screeners will be barred from wearing them when they are not working, TSA Deputy Administrator Gale Rossides said.
“We coupled the badges with the communications training to make it clear to our officers that they’re there to facilitate our passengers,” Rossides said. She said the TSA has no interest in giving screeners law-enforcement power.
In April, Baltimore-Washington International Airport screeners became the first to get badges and blue shirts, which replace white shirts adorned with a yellow TSA patch. Screeners at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport will get them today.
A.J. Castilla, a screener at Boston’s Logan Airport and a spokesman for a screeners union, is eager to get a badge. “It’ll go a long way to enhance the respect of this workforce,” he said.

Britons visiting America will now have to register 72 hours in advance
UK Daily Mail
June 3, 2008
British visitors to the United States will have to register their trip with the American government 72 hours before they leave, it will be announced today.
The new plans – the latest in a series of measures designed to strengthen security – will see all travellers from countries which do not currently require a visa forced to register online three days before flying.
The scheme is expected to be announced today by Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff, to take effect from January
It will apply to citizens of the 27 visa waiver programme countries which include most of western Europe, Australia, Brunei, Japan, New Zealand and Singapore.
The US has also signed agreements with eight other countries including the Czech Republic, Hungary and South Korea which will put them on track to join the visa waiver programme.
Last year many European countries expressed concern about the idea of registering before travel.
The initial proposal was that passengers should register 48 hours in advance and many large European companies, including several in the UK, claimed the move would prevent deal-clinching, last-minute flights for business.
Now US officials say they want people to register even further in advance- but with the concession that once a traveller has registered under the new rules for the first time, it will be valid for multiple entries over two years.

10 airports install body scanners
Devices can peer under passengers’ clothes
Thomas Frank
USA Today
June 6, 2008
Body-scanning machines that show images of people underneath their clothing are being installed in 10 of the nation’s busiest airports in one of the biggest public uses of security devices that reveal intimate body parts.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently started using body scans on randomly chosen passengers in Los Angeles, Baltimore, Denver, Albuquerque and at New York’s Kennedy airport.
Airports in Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas and Miami will be added this month. Reagan National Airport in Washington starts using a body scanner today. A total of 38 machines will be in use within weeks.
“It’s the wave of the future,” said James Schear, the TSA security director at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, where two body scanners are in use at one checkpoint.
Schear said the scanners could eventually replace metal detectors at the nation’s 2,000 airport checkpoints and the pat-downs done on passengers who need extra screening. “We’re just scratching the surface of what we can do with whole-body imaging,” Schear said.
The TSA effort could encourage scanners’ use in rail stations, arenas and office buildings, the American Civil Liberties Union said. “This may well set a precedent that others will follow,” said Barry Steinhardt, head of the ACLU technology project.
Scanners are used in a few courthouses, jails and U.S. embassies, as well as overseas border crossings, military checkpoints and some foreign airports such as Amsterdam’s Schiphol.
The scanners bounce harmless “millimeter waves” off passengers who are selected to stand inside a portal with arms raised after clearing the metal detector. A TSA screener in a nearby room views the black-and-white image and looks for objects on a screen that are shaded differently from the body. Finding a suspicious object, a screener radios a colleague at the checkpoint to search the passenger.
The TSA says it protects privacy by blurring passengers’ faces and deleting images right after viewing. Yet the images are detailed, clearly showing a person’s gender. “You can actually see the sweat on someone’s back,” Schear said.
The scanners aim to strengthen airport security by spotting plastic and ceramic weapons and explosives that evade metal detectors and are the biggest threat to aviation. Government audits have found that screeners miss a large number of weapons, bombs and bomb parts such as wires and timers that agents sneak through checkpoints.

Jackboot Stormtroopers Roam New York Subways
Armoured police toting MP5 machine guns begin patrols of transit system in name of fighting terror

Teams of police armed with submachine guns, body armor and bomb-sniffing dogs are to begin patrolling New York subways today in an effort to “prevent terrorism”.
The special bomb teams known as “Torch Teams” will consist of six officers and a dog will patrolling all platforms and trains in 12-hour shifts.
The cops will cary huge MP5 submachine guns that are usually used by Navy seals and FBI hostage-rescue teams.
ABC eyewitness news has a video report here.
he move comes after a 50 percent increase in a homeland security grant was announced earlier this year, translating to $153 million.
“The show of force will no doubt make many riders feel safer, although some weren’t sure how much of a difference it will make.” reports ABC.
If you believe six storm troopers pointing massive machine guns at passengers makes them feel safer I’ve got a bridge I want to sell you.
“They will look similar to the NYPD’s heavily armed hercules teams, which have showed up guarding city landmarks since the 9/11 attacks.” ABC reminds us, slipping in the now ubiquitous 9/11 reference point, in case you’d forgotten that evil muslim terrorists want you dead.
Meanwhile CBS tells us “In this age of heightened security, commuters and keen canines will share the underground world of mass transit.”
Though the “Torch Teams”, presumably so called because they “shine a light” on evil terror in the dark and dangerous underground, are officially the first of their kind, the idea was road tested in late 2005 with TSA VIPER squads patrolling mass transit facilities in major cities conducting searches and checking ID’s.
“The so-called “Visible Intermodal Protection and Response” teams — or VIPER teams — will patrol Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor and Los Angeles rail lines; ferries in Washington state; bus stations in Houston; and mass transit systems in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington and Baltimore.” reported the AP.
The move coincided with a federal judge’s ruling
that police had a constitutional right to randomly search passengers’ bags on the New York City subway to deter terrorist attacks.
Though the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits searches without probable cause, the judge declared searches to be only a “minimal intrusion” of privacy.
Presumably the same gross violations of the Fourth will be within the remit of the new “torch teams” and you will be treated as a terrorist suspect and be forced to comply with their orders for your own safety.
The pretext for these jackboot subway patrols came in October 2005
when authorities in New York announced a major terror alert on the underground.
Police temporarily shut down parts of the transit system after a soda bottle filled with a substance resembling the household cleaner Drano was found near an Amtrak ticket counter, the announcement said.
However, it emerged that there was never any corroboration of any terror threat, merely some rumor about it having originated in Iraq
“the plot to bomb city subways with remote-controlled explosives has not been corroborated after days of investigation, law-enforcement officials said Sunday amid an easing sense of concern.”
This did not seem to matter as all the key phrases, “bombs”, “subway” “New York” “Terrorists” “Iraq” “Afghanistan” and “Al Qaeda” steamrolled the incident into becoming a brand new terror alert.
The random bag searches ensued. Even small children with pink My Little Pony bags were considered possible terrorists.
Everyone can see that this activity is absurd and contemptible, and that is the point. We are being acclimatized to consider this as normal and it’s working, the typical reaction is simply, “oh well that’s the way it has to be in order for everyone to be safe”. The lazy and selfish reaction to this climate of fear is severely damaging our society, the masses are sleepwalking towards a police state, they see it, but it doesn’t register.
The VIPER and Torch teams have nothing to do with preventing terrorism, they are there to get people to cower and accept they are under control. There has been no new intelligence indicating that terrorists are interested in targeting transportation modes, these programs are rolled out regardless.
Perhaps the subway stormtroopers will start taking a leaf out of the books of Canadian police and start
tasering passengers who try to avoid paying fares.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkPXmpaCcSM
Or perhaps they will demand middle aged women present ID or arrest those evil terrorists caught donating travel tokens to people without the right change.
This is textbook, mechanized, classic tyranny.
The federal government has ensured that the very same people who grope pregnant women and make 90-year-old men remove their shoes in airports are now going to be on American streets and subways.
Only through constant activism, lobbying and vigilance can we escort martial law away from American shores and live peacefully in a society where we do not cower in fear of the armed security guard barking orders at us when simply walking down the street, “citizen, show me your papers.”

Destroying the Amazon Rainforest to Fight Global Warming
Biofuel industry to destroy valuble wetlands, grasslands and forests to cash-in on the global warming trend
Time
March 30, 2008
From his Cessna a mile above the southern Amazon, John Carter looks down on the destruction of the world’s greatest ecological jewel. He watches men converting rain forest into cattle pastures and soybean fields with bulldozers and chains. He sees fires wiping out such gigantic swaths of jungle that scientists now debate the “savannization” of the Amazon. Brazil just announced that deforestation is on track to double this year; Carter, a Texas cowboy with all the subtlety of a chainsaw, says it’s going to get worse fast. “It gives me goose bumps,” says Carter, who founded a nonprofit to promote sustainable ranching on the Amazon frontier. “It’s like witnessing a rape.”
The Amazon was the chic eco-cause of the 1990s, revered as an incomparable storehouse of biodiversity. It’s been overshadowed lately by global warming, but the Amazon rain forest happens also to be an incomparable storehouse of carbon, the very carbon that heats up the planet when it’s released into the atmosphere. Brazil now ranks fourth in the world in carbon emissions, and most of its emissions come from deforestation. Carter is not a man who gets easily spooked–he led a reconnaissance unit in Desert Storm, and I watched him grab a small anaconda with his bare hands in Brazil–but he can sound downright panicky about the future of the forest. “You can’t protect it. There’s too much money to be made tearing it down,” he says. “Out here on the frontier, you really see the market at work.”
This land rush is being accelerated by an unlikely source: biofuels. An explosion in demand for farm-grown fuels has raised global crop prices to record highs, which is spurring a dramatic expansion of Brazilian agriculture, which is invading the Amazon at an increasingly alarming rate.
Propelled by mounting anxieties over soaring oil costs and climate change, biofuels have become the vanguard of the green-tech revolution, the trendy way for politicians and corporations to show they’re serious about finding alternative sources of energy and in the process slowing global warming. The U.S. quintupled its production of ethanol–ethyl alcohol, a fuel distilled from plant matter–in the past decade, and Washington has just mandated another fivefold increase in renewable fuels over the next decade. Europe has similarly aggressive biofuel mandates and subsidies, and Brazil’s filling stations no longer even offer plain gasoline. Worldwide investment in biofuels rose from $5 billion in 1995 to $38 billion in 2005 and is expected to top $100 billion by 2010, thanks to investors like Richard Branson and George Soros, GE and BP, Ford and Shell, Cargill and the Carlyle Group. Renewable fuels has become one of those motherhood-and-apple-pie catchphrases, as unobjectionable as the troops or the middle class.
But several new studies show the biofuel boom is doing exactly the opposite of what its proponents intended: it’s dramatically accelerating global warming, imperiling the planet in the name of saving it. Corn ethanol, always environmentally suspect, turns out to be environmentally disastrous. Even cellulosic ethanol made from switchgrass, which has been promoted by eco-activists and eco-investors as well as by President Bush as the fuel of the future, looks less green than oil-derived gasoline.
Meanwhile, by diverting grain and oilseed crops from dinner plates to fuel tanks, biofuels are jacking up world food prices and endangering the hungry. The grain it takes to fill an SUV tank with ethanol could feed a person for a year. Harvests are being plucked to fuel our cars instead of ourselves. The U.N.’s World Food Program says it needs $500 million in additional funding and supplies, calling the rising costs for food nothing less than a global emergency. Soaring corn prices have sparked tortilla riots in Mexico City, and skyrocketing flour prices have destabilized Pakistan, which wasn’t exactly tranquil when flour was affordable.
Biofuels do slightly reduce dependence on imported oil, and the ethanol boom has created rural jobs while enriching some farmers and agribusinesses. But the basic problem with most biofuels is amazingly simple, given that researchers have ignored it until now: using land to grow fuel leads to the destruction of forests, wetlands and grasslands that store enormous amounts of carbon.
Backed by billions in investment capital, this alarming phenomenon is replicating itself around the world. Indonesia has bulldozed and burned so much wilderness to grow palm oil trees for biodiesel that its ranking among the world’s top carbon emitters has surged from 21st to third according to a report by Wetlands International. Malaysia is converting forests into palm oil farms so rapidly that it’s running out of uncultivated land. But most of the damage created by biofuels will be less direct and less obvious. In Brazil, for instance, only a tiny portion of the Amazon is being torn down to grow the sugarcane that fuels most Brazilian cars. More deforestation results from a chain reaction so vast it’s subtle: U.S. farmers are selling one-fifth of their corn to ethanol production, so U.S. soybean farmers are switching to corn, so Brazilian soybean farmers are expanding into cattle pastures, so Brazilian cattlemen are displaced to the Amazon. It’s the remorseless economics of commodities markets. “The price of soybeans goes up,” laments Sandro Menezes, a biologist with Conservation International in Brazil, “and the forest comes down.”
Deforestation accounts for 20% of all current carbon emissions. So unless the world can eliminate emissions from all other sources–cars, power plants, factories, even flatulent cows–it needs to reduce deforestation or risk an environmental catastrophe. That means limiting the expansion of agriculture, a daunting task as the world’s population keeps expanding. And saving forests is probably an impossibility so long as vast expanses of cropland are used to grow modest amounts of fuel. The biofuels boom, in short, is one that could haunt the planet for generations–and it’s only getting started.

McCain: Sanctions, attacks await Iran
Press TV
February 8, 2008
Republican presidential hopeful John McCain says the US and its European allies will adopt unilateral sanctions against Iran.
He stated that if the UN is not prepared to impose stronger political and economic sanctions, the United States and its European partners will take such measures.
He also said that a military solution should remain on the table as a last resort and that Iran is playing ‘a game it cannot win’.
“I intend to make it unmistakably clear to Iran that we will not permit a government that espouses the destruction of … Israel . . .and pledges undying enmity to the United States to possess weapons to advance their malevolent ambitions,” Suddeutschen Zeitung quoted the senator as saying.
The recently published US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) has confirmed that Iran is not developing nuclear arms.
Iran says under the Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT) it is entitled to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes and that its nuclear activities are aimed at civilian purposes.

Bloomberg: Global Warming “As Lethal” As Terrorism
Gothamist
February 12, 2008
Explaining why global warming needs to be stopped in an urgent way, Mayor Bloomberg said, “Terrorists kill people. Weapons of mass destruction have the potential to kill an enormous amount of people. [But] global warming in the long term has the potential to kill everybody…This really is just as lethal. It’s just the results are something we will face long term.”
The Mayor was addressing reporters after speaking at the United Nation’s conference on climate change. He mentioned the city’s plan to reduce the use of tropical hardwoods because the deforestation accounts for 20% of greenhouse gas emissions. NYC is one of the world’s biggest consumers of tropical hardwoods, as they are used in park benches, promenades, docks, etc. Bloomberg also emphasized that the U.S. should have a carbon emission tax.
Last summer, Mayor Bloomberg and mayors from around the world convened to discuss environmental issues at the NYC Climate Summit; Bloomberg said another would be held this June. And for fun, during his speech, he said, “Of course, being the Mayor of New York – the world’s most international city – is a bit like presiding over the United Nations every single day of the year.”
Washington May Charge Greenhouse Gas Tax
KXLY
February 11, 2008
Vehicle licensing fees in Washington State could spike dramatically, all in the name of global warming. Six Seattle Democrats in the state Senate are trying to push through a bill that would require the Department of Licensing to collect a greenhouse gas tax. Sponsors say the tax in Senate Bill 6923 is an effective way to fight global warming by giving the state more money to fund transportation alternatives. If it passes, there will be an extra tax on your yearly license tab fees, based on EPA estimated miles per gallon your vehicle gets. The bill states vehicles getting below 15 miles per gallon will be charged between $200 and $240 extra every year. Vehicles that get between 15 and 25 miles per gallon, will pay $100 to $180 dollars extra every year. Vehicles getting over 26 miles per gallon, will pay between $40 and $100 extra every year. Vehicles that don’t have an estimated fuel economy rating will be charged a fee based on engine size.

Ron Paul Beats McCain in Maine Caucus, Primed to Win Over 1/3 of State Delegates
In the race for delegates, Ron Paul appears to closely trail Romney for first place
Ron Paul 2008
February 4, 2008
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – While most reports about this past weekend’s Maine Caucus focused on the purely symbolic presidential preference poll, in the meaningful race to secure delegates to the state convention Ron Paul is primed to finish second with likely 35 percent of the total delegates.
Delegates to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis are elected by the state delegates. Internal results from 10 of 16 counties, including the largest cities of Portland, South Portland, Lewiston, Auburn, Augusta, Waterville, Bangor, and Brewer, show Ron Paul picking up 215 of 608 State Convention delegates so far reported, or 35%.
“Ron Paul’s strong second place finish in Maine, in which he beat John McCain, is proof that this race is far from over,” said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. “We’ll continue to battle for every delegate in this wide-open race for the Republican nomination.”
In the presidential preference poll, with 70 percent reporting, Ron Paul is in third place just two percentage points behind John McCain. However, the Maine preference poll is purely a beauty contest, and in the actual election of state delegates the so-called “frontrunner” McCain is far behind Ron Paul.
Ron Paul Second in Maine State Delegates with 35%
Romney has 52% of the vote while Paul has secured 35% of the state delegates who will allocate Maine’s 18 national delegates in May.

The final State Caucus before Super Tuesday is projected to be won by Governor Mitt Romney based on 74% of the presidential preference poll votes in Mitt Romney has 52%. There’s a battle for second place, in popular votes, going on between Ron Paul and John McCain. As of 4:34est the Maine Republican Party website showed there were just 154 votes separating the two with over 25% of the caucus locations still to report in.
According to a press release by Jesse Benton, of the Ron Paul campaign, the Texas Congressman, with his message of liberty and freedom, has already picked up 215 of the total 608 Maine state delegates. This number could increase as results come in from the final 6 counties. 35% of the state delegates place him second behind Mitt Romney even though McCain has a slight lead in the popular vote. There is no way for John McCain to catch Ron Paul in state delegate count even if he holds on to his slim lead in polling simply based on cities and caucus locations already won by Ron Paul
Although many major newspapers are giving all 18 Maine National Delegates to Mitt Romney that is not the case. State delegates in Maine are non-binding. The actual allocation of the 18 national delegates will not be determined until May 2 when the Maine Republican Party State Convention is going to be held and the state delegates will then decide.
“Ron Paul’s strong second place finish in Maine, in which he beat John McCain, is proof that this race is far from over,” said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. “We’ll continue to battle for every delegate in this wide-open race for the Republican nomination.”
Paul Draws Big Denver Crowd

The alarm in the Colorado Convention Center employee’s voice was verging on panic.
“That room is packed so tight it’s not even funny,” he shouted into a radio Friday night as the Segway he was riding hummed and swerved down a wide carpeted hallway.
The crowd for Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul was so large it surprised his own organizers. They were forced to hurriedly open partitions to double the size of the ballroom space minutes before Paul’s scheduled appearance in the Four Seasons Ballroom. When that wasn’t enough hundreds of people stood rimming the hall that sits 1,536.
“I’m just totally dumbfounded,” Paul said as he began his speech before a raucous sign-waving crowd. “The enthusiasm seems to be growing. Freedom is popular.”
Many of his supporters boldly predicted he would win more delegates in the state then front runners Sen. John McCain and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney even though Paul has yet to win a majority in any state primary.
“He’s real strong in Colorado,” said Vince Holcomb, 45, a massage therapist from Centennial. “Ron Paul is a lot higher in the polls than the mainstream media publicize.”
