Army National Guard Advertises for “Internment Specialists”
Kurt Nimmo
Infowars
July 31, 2009
Do you doubt the government plans to impose martial law and round up dissidents and other malcontents? Well, the Army National Guard is advertising on Monster.com and other employment-based websites for a position to work as Corrections Officers and Internment/Resettlement Specialists.
“Avenge me, boys!” Fiction becomes fact. In the film Red Dawn, Harry Dean Stanton is put in a communist re-education camp.
“As an Internment/Resettlement Specialist for the Army National Guard, you will ensure the smooth running of military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility, similar to those duties conducted by civilian Corrections Officers,” a classified ad posted on the web states. “This will require you to know proper procedures and military law; and have the ability to think quickly in high-stress situations. Specific duties may include assisting with supervision and management operations; providing facility security; providing custody, control, supervision, and escort; and counseling individual prisoners in rehabilitative programs.”
The term “rehabilitative programs” is key. In Mao’s China, the government established a sprawling system of concentration camps — known as Laogai — designed to re-educate falun-gong practitioners, dissidents and other social misfits through forced slave labor. To this day forced detention continues in China, there have been numerous reports of torture and rape in these labor camps. In the Soviet Union under Stalin, a network of gulags — a Russian acronym for The Chief Administration of Corrective Labor Camps and Colonies — were established, primarily for political prisoners and as a mechanism for repressing political opposition to the Soviet state.
Rex 84 was created in the United States for basically the same reason. “The Rex-84 Alpha Explan (Readiness Exercise 1984, Exercise Plan; otherwise known as a continuity of government plan), indicates that FEMA in association with 34 other federal civil departments and agencies, along with other NATO nations, conducted a civil readiness exercise during April 5-13, 1984. It was conducted in coordination and simultaneously with a Joint Chiefs exercise, Night Train 84, a worldwide military command post exercise (including Continental U.S. Forces or CONUS) based on multi-emergency scenarios operating both abroad and at home. In the combined exercise, Rex-84 Bravo, FEMA and DOD led the other federal agencies and departments, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Secret Service, the Treasury, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Veterans Administration through a gaming exercise to test military assistance in civil defense,” writes Diana Reynolds. “The exercise anticipated civil disturbances, major demonstrations and strikes that would affect continuity of government and/or resource mobilization. To fight subversive activities, there was authorization for the military to implement government ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels, the arrest of certain unidentified segments of the population, and the imposition of martial law.”
Rex 84 falls under master military contingency plan, Operation Garden Plot, allegedly developed in response to the civil disorders of the 1960s and now under the control of the U.S. Northern Command. Garden Plot was last activated as Noble Eagle following the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Under National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive (National Security Presidential Directive NSPD 51/Homeland Security Presidential Directive HSPD-20, or called simply “Executive Directive 51″ for short), signed by George W. Bush on May 4, 2007, the government has the authority to declare a national emergency and impose martial law. NSPD 51 grants extraordinary police state powers to the White House and Homeland Security, presumably including detention of a large number of people as established under Rex 84 and other military programs.
On July 30, CNN reported that the U.S. military is gearing up to get involved in the H1N1 swine flu outbreak promised to strike later this year. “The U.S. military wants to establish regional teams of military personnel to assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant outbreak of the H1N1 virus this fall, according to Defense Department officials,” a proposal that is currently on the desk of Sec. Def. Robert Gates, according to CNN. “As a first step, Gates is being asked to sign a so-called ‘execution order’ that would authorize the military to begin to conduct the detailed planning to execute the proposed plan.”
It looks like the Army National Guard is gearing up to staff camps and “execute the proposed plan” of forcibly vaccinating the public and rounding up and hauling off those who refuse to be injected with a soft kill eugenics weapon as dangerous enemies of the state who need to be interned in forced labor and re-education camps.

McCain Campaign Tries to Block Ron Paul From Convention Floor
September 2, 2008
The Washington Times reported today that the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee have been “negotiating with Rep. Ron Paul to win his support and acquire the names of his sympathizers among the 4,607 delegates and alternates at the Republican National Convention.”
However, when CNN’s John King asked Paul this morning whether such reports were true, Paul laughed. “I wouldn’t put it in those words,” he said. In fact, he said the RNC seemed to be trying to keep him off the convention floor, even though as a congressman, he should be able to get floor passes without a problem. Watch it:
Paul was barred from speaking at the convention “because the congressman would not change his position on the war in Iraq, which he opposes.” The Washington Times also reports that Paul “was denied permission to address the Republican Platform Committee last week” after “the McCain forces who controlled the platform proceedings, as well as the Rules Committee and the Credentials Committee, objected.”
The McCain campaign’s stonewalling of Ron Paul may not have the support of his vice presidential pick, Gov. Sarah Palin. In an interview with MTV earlier this year, Palin expressed support for Paul, saying that he was “cool“:
He’s cool. He’s a good guy. He’s a good guy. He’s so independent. He’s independent of like the party machine, I’m like, right on, so am I. The party machinery, on both sides of the party, ya know, Americans are tiring of the incessant partisanship that gets in the way of just doing the right thing for this country.
Paul will at least be welcome at a “counter convention” held in Minneapolis for his supporters, where he is speaking today. Paul said he expected around 18,000 people to attend today’s rally.

Alex Jones Confronts Neocon Michelle Malkin — Re-Create 68 Provocateurs Make a Mockery out of the Anti-War Movement
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
August 26, 2008
During Alex Jones’ confrontation with Neo-Con poster child Michelle Malkin at DNC yesterday, the phony right-wing ideologue enjoyed the support of seemingly strange bedfellows, the self-proclaimed liberal anarchist group Re-Create 68, who subsequently attempted to smear Jones in front of the media by implying he was a racist.
Jones called out Malkin for her pro-torture stance and her refusal to retract a story concerning Marines in Iraq killing puppies, which Malkin maintained was a faked video.
Malkin found an ally in Recreate 68’s (Kenneth) Sanchez, reports Fort Collins Now, “Who pushed his way into the crowd of TV cameras to yell at Jones: “Michelle Malkin is a true patriot!”
Recreate 68 co-founder Glenn Spagnuolo then said of Jones, “He’s the true agent provocateur, he was so busy hating, he missed all the love.”
What this aimless, arrogant and ineffective gaggle defined as “the love” was about as indefinable as the rest of the Communist trash they were spewing about redistribution of wealth.
But the group’s support for Michelle Malkin, a neo-fascist poster child for the fake right-wing and an advocate of torture and internment camps for dissenters and other undesirables, speaks volumes about the meaningless and transitory nature of their immature and vacuous political outlook.
Accepting of the fact that their whiny effeminate voices, stupid cowardly pseudonyms (one calling himself the Yippie Pie Man), and ridiculous wizard costumes could not compete with the booming ferocity of Jones, members of the group chose to question the talk show host through a bullhorn, calling him a “white populist” for daring to criticize extremist Mexican separatist groups and their“Plan of an Diego,” a revolutionary call to arms to re-invade the southwestern United States and kill all blacks and whites.

Concentration Camp Set Up For DNC Protesters
Cells topped with barbed wire to be used to hold protesters rounded up in mass arrests
Steve Watson
Infowars.net
August 15, 2008
A CBS news crew has uncovered a huge warehouse holding facility in Denver, consisting of steel cages topped with barbed wire, ready to receive thousands of protesters at this year’s Democratic National Convention.
“This is a building filled with metal holding cells,” described CBS reporter Rick Sallinger. “We showed up at the facility unannounced today, the doors were wide open, and we managed to shoot for several minutes until a Denver sheriff’s captain asked us to leave.”
The warehouse is located on the north-east side of Denver and is owned by the city. It appears that officials wanted to keep it a secret until the convention began. The police captain captured on film warned that if made public, the facility could be compromised “by people who are potentially trying to be disruptive.”
The CBS footage shows a huge area of metal chain-link cells that measure 5 yards by 5 yards, topped with rolls of barbed wire. Each pen is adorned with an identifying letter.
Signs on the walls of the warehouse read “Warning! Electric stun devices used in this facility.”
On seeing the footage one local political organizer told the crew it resembled a “concentration camp”, while another described it as a “meat processing plant”. The facility has already been dubbed “Gitmo On The Platte”.
Watch the video:
Such “prison camps” were also used in 2004 during the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The areas close to the DNC in Boston consisted of concrete walls, barriers and metal cages with barbed wire.
The areas were invisible to the Fleet Center where the convention was held and were referred to as “Boston’s Camp X-Ray”.
At the 2004 RNC in New York holding pens were also employed as protestors and innocent people were swept up in mass arrests and transferred to then-recently closed Hudson Pier Depot at Pier 57 on the Hudson River in Manhattan.
The facility was quickly dubbed “Little Gitmo” as thousands were bound and paraded into a large warehouse area behind steel caging.
This was taken from inside a portable bathroom at Pier 57. You can see people being lined up to get inside the huge pen. Throughout this 30 second clip, a chant of “Let Us Go!” starts in one part of the complex and quickly spreads to every corner. Learn more about the photographer’s experience here:
More recntly, such holding areas have been employed in conjunction with the Orwellian concept of “free speech zones”.
The Secret Service has been granted the power to declare “first amendment areas”. They scout locations where the president is scheduled to speak, or pass through, target those who carry anti-Bush signs and escort them to the protest pens prior to and during the event.
Inevitably the pens are far away from the event location and well away from any media spotlight.
Holding pens will also be employed at the RNC later this year with local law enforcement working with the secret service to designate the areas in Minneapolis.

Army Deploys All-In-One Nonlethal Warfare Kit
Wired
August 8, 2008
The U.S. Army is deploying an all-in-one package of nonlethal devices that covers everything from checkpoint control to riot control. “The first of the Brigade Non-Lethal Capability Sets (NLCS) is now fielded to the Army’s 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team,” reports Defense Daily, an industry newsletter (sorry, subscription only).
The kits are put into large, weatherproof containers, and include everything from high-intensity lights to loud speakers. The checkpoint tools, for example, includes “equipment to establish and operate hasty and deliberate checkpoints.” That means tire spikes and capture nets.
Other nonlethal sets have been fielded in the past, but the NLCS “includes items not found in the previous sets, such as tasers, Phraselators, Vehicle Lightweight Arresting Devices and Ex-Spray, which allows soldiers to detect explosive residue.”
Colorado ’fusion center’ to step up intelligence gathering during DNC
The Colorado Independent
July 30, 2008
Federal and state law enforcement officials will increase intelligence operations during the Democratic National Convention, overseeing an information war room that will be staffed around the clock with analysts who access a dozen databases while receiving reports of “suspicious activity” — activity that some civil libertarians claim could be nothing more than engaging in anti-war protests or photographing federal facilities that could be targeted for terrorist attack.
Central to the efforts is Colorado’s “fusion” center, a place designed to facilitate intelligence sharing among federal, state and military agencies in an effort to prevent terrorism. But civil rights advocates fear that the Colorado Information Analysis Center, (CIAC) now housed in an inconspicuous office building in Centennial, a southern suburb of Denver, could enable unwarranted spying on Americans exercising their First Amendment rights at the convention.
Inside the building, intelligence analysts with the Colorado State Patrol, Colorado National Guard and Federal Bureau of Investigation take local reports of suspicious criminal activity and determine what merits further investigation.
“It’s a filtration point for information,” says Lance Clem, a representative for the Colorado Department of Public Safety, which directs the state troopers who work at CIAC. “We take information from the international and national level and decide what needs to be pushed out to local law enforcement agencies.”
CIAC personnel also take reports of suspicious activities from citizens and other police departments. If a report is deemed by analysts to require additional investigation, it is shared with the appropriate law enforcement officials, but if a report is not determined to merit further inspection, CIAC workers make a log of the event, according to Clem, essentially creating a massive collection of data, some of it reliable and some of it not.
When the Democratic National Convention is held in August, CIAC will be operating 24 hours a day and be fully staffed with up to eight intelligence analysts at any given time.
“CIAC is going to be expanding hours for physical presence in the office,” Clem says about the convention. “Any known threats specifically related to the convention are going to go right to the United States Secret Service and FBI, but CIAC is going to be there to take any reports that citizens have.”
Malcolm Wiley, a spokesman for the Secret Service, says he can’t confirm if members of his agency will be physically present at CIAC while the convention takes place, but he does acknowledge the center’s part in analyzing intelligence data during the event.
“They’ll be sharing information with other intelligence gatherers,” including the Secret Service and FBI, Wiley says.
The military will also be sharing intelligence information and providing support through U.S. Northern Command, (NORTHCOM) a unit stationed at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs that was created in 2002 for homeland defense missions.
While NORTHCOM personnel will not be working at CIAC during the convention, the unit will share information that is relevant to the center,as it has done occasionally in the past, according to Master Sgt. Anthony Hill, a NORTHCOM spokesman.

Military to commandeer campus for DNC operations
The Colorado Independent
July 29, 2008
The Colorado Army National Guard is expected to transform a private Denver university campus into a restricted military lodging area during the Democratic National Convention in August.
More than 400 soldiers could be stationed in official capacity on the campus according to the National Guard, but the Guard is not disclosing what the troops will be doing during the convention.
In mid-July The Colorado Independent reported that the Colorado National Guard was planning to rent more than 500 rooms around the Denver area for business relating specifically to the Democratic National Convention being held Aug 25-38.
At least 400 of those rooms will be used for nine days during Aug. 22-30 at Johnson & Wales University, the old University of Denver law school at 7150 Montview Blvd. in east Denver.
“We only have the Colorado Army National Guard staying with us.” says Lindsay Tracy, a spokeswoman for Johnson & Wales University.
The private university, offering culinary and hospitality programs, will be closed to students during the soldiers’ stay.
“They’re the only ones using the campus. The campus basically will be shut down during that time,” Tracy says. “Only essential staff will be allowed.”
Along with lodging at the school, the National Guard has also ordered more than 30 rooms at an Extended Stay America hotel in an unknown location and more than 70 rooms at the Drury Hotels, also located in east Denver, at 4400 Peoria St.
A Drury Hotels representative declined to comment, citing a policy to not release information about guests.
The Colorado National Guard — composed of both Air and Army Guard units totaling over 5,000 military personnel — will not say why or how soldiers will be using the facilities, but officials have confirmed that no other federal or local agencies will be using the rooms.
“All we’re concerned with is the National Guard personnel,” says Capt. Robert Bell, a public affairs officer for the Colorado National guard. “That’s what we asked for.”
Bell says the soldiers will be on duty and wearing personal protective equipment, which can include helmets and combat armor. He also said weapons will be kept in National Guard armories, in the city of Centennial south of Denver, and at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora. Both Johnson & Wales University and Drury Hotels are less than 10 miles from the base.
Maj. Gen. H. Michael Edwards, who was appointed by Democratic Gov. Bill Ritter as the adjutant general for Colorado in 2007, oversees both Army and Air National Guard operations in the state.
Bell and Tracy said they do not know how much taxpayer money will be spent on the room rentals.

Anti-War Website Operator Threatened By Armed Thugs
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
August 7, 2008
The operator of a leading alternative news and strongly anti-war website has become the target of nefarious thugs apparently in the employ of the U.S. government who have continually harassed him and ordered him to shut down his website.
Tom Feeley, owner and editor of InformationClearingHouse.info, has endured public harassment, home invasions, death threats and threats to his family simply for running a website.
Counterpunch writer Mike Whitney has circulated an e mail describing what happened to Feeley in an attempt to draw attention to the matter.
Whitney writes that earlier this week Feeley’s wife was startled to suddenly discover three well dressed men standing in her kitchen who told her that Tom must “Stop what he is doing on the Internet, NOW!”
To emphasize the point, the thug pulled back his jacket to reveal a gun while barking out the warning.
Tom’s wife was hysterical and refuses to go back to the house. She contacted the FBI but was told there was nothing they could do.
According to Whitney, “The well-dressed man told Tom’s wife that he knew where her son lived, what line of work he was in, and how many children he had.”
Subsequently, two men in a parked car a block from Tom’s mother’s house were spotted using laptops and sped off when they were approached by Tom’s son.
A similar incident had happened four years previously, when Feeley was approached by a stranger in the parking lot of Long’s Drug store in Southern California, after being forced to remain in his car by an accomplice who blocked him from opening the car door. The man told him, “You need to stop what you are doing on the web”.
Tom said the man was overweight and had his shirt untucked. Tom was taken aback, but (after collecting himself said) “What the fuck? Who do you think you are telling me what I can do?”
The man answered, “Tom, I’m just giving you some good advice. You should take my advice, Tom.”
Alex Jones has experienced similar intimidation tactics on several occasions in the past, particularly the scenario that happened to Tom in the parking lot as well as thinly veiled threats against his family.
In every single instance, the best response is to stand up and be vocal in the face of such harassment. Mafia-like thugs only continue to feed on those who put up with such treatment. The most dangerous thing to do is cower and acquiesce to the will of tyrants.
These kind of tactics will only succeed if the thugs think their actions can have any kind of effect. Every time someone in our movement is intimidated or harassed, we should respond only by re-doubling and intensifying our efforts.
I’ll tell you this about Tom Feeley; he is no bullshitter,” writes Whitney, “He is the “real deal” and completely committed to exposing the mob that is presently running our country. He does not understand why, (as he says) “They are reaching down SO far to get someone who just runs web site”. But, the truth is, they are. Someone wants him to “shut up” and they apparently have the muscle to do it. He knows he is in danger.”
Feeley is ditching his cellphone and maintaining a low profile but to his credit, refuses to cave in to the threats and will continue to publish his website.
Drawing attention to Feeley’s situation is of paramount importance to ensure his protection and also to combat head on attempts to create a chilling atmosphere and intimidate journalists and website publishers.

Secret Service questions activist if involved in 9/11 conspiracy theories
Kurt Nimmo
Infowars
July 25, 2008
On the Alex Jones Show today, Ted Anderson of GCN and Anthony Jasa of Minnesota We Are Change provided details on a campaign of harassment and intimidation by the Secret Service against Jasa and GCN. The Secret Service accused Jasa of forging press credentials, although Anderson told the Secret Service he approved Jasa’s GCN credentials. Jasa told Alex Jones the SS attempted to intimidate his fiancée and enter his residence in order to search his computers. According to Jasa and Anderson, SS agents asked if Jasa believes in 9/11 conspiracy theories, as if this is some sort of criminal behavior.
Obviously, the government is worried about the exponential growth of the 9/11 truth movement, in particular the activism of We Are Change, a nation-wide organization (also active in Britain, Ireland, and Canada) most effective in its persistent questioning of political candidates, members of Congress, and assorted government insiders and NWO minions. In order to shut down this activism, the government has dispatched its agents in addition to sending out its disinfo agents and latter day COINTELPRO operatives, more than a few tracked back to the military and CENTCOM and, if history is any indication, dispatched by the FBI and the Secret Service.
In essence, the SS told Jasa and Anderson that GCN is not a bona fide press organization — never mind it is a nationally syndicated radio network — and its issuance of press credentials amounts to an act of fraud. Only the corporate media, reading from government scripts, will be allowed to attend political events. In order to limit political discourse and muzzle the opposition, at the behest of the neocons and their neolib brethren, the SS will hound, harass, and intimidate the alternative media.
It will not work, however. Short of a total imposition of martial law, We Are Change will certainly not be deterred and will continue to attend political rallies and confront our leaders and their minions in public. The ludicrous accusation that GCN and Infowars press credentials are somehow illegitimate will not stand. It may be time to initiate a lawsuit against the Secret Service for attempting to suppress the First Amendment.

61-year-old woman kicked out of McCain “public” townhall meeting
PNA
July 7, 2008
On orders from Senator John McCain’s security detail, Denver police escorted a 61-year-old woman away who was waiting in line to attend a so-called town hall meeting with McCain that was billed as open to the public.
Carol Kreck, who works as a librarian in Denver, held a homemade sign reading “McCain = Bush.” On orders from McCain’s security detail, police cited her for trespassing and escorted her to the sidewalk. She was told if she returned she would be arrested.
“And all I did was carry a sign that said McCain = Bush,” Kreck said. “And for everyone who voted for Bush, I don’t see why it’s offensive to say McCain = Bush.”
This episode by McCain’s Secret Service appears to be a rerun of McCain’s 2005 town hall in Denver with President Bush in which the Secret Service had three Denver citizens removed from an “open” event where McCain was campaigning with Pres. Bush for his plan to privatize social security.

Two Arrested For Asking Laura Bush A Question
Police reportedly beat reporter’s head against wall, another member charged for assault despite being victim of unprovoked attack

Two members of We Are Change were arrested in New York last night for asking Laura and Jenna Bush a question. Reporter Matt Lepacek was dragged out during Laura Bush’s speech and physically assaulted by police, according to Luke Rudkowski.
News of the incidents has not been reported by the corporate media as of this morning.
A We Are Change member named Gary reportedly refused to move from a sidewalk when asked by the Secret Service. When Gary attempted to ask Laura and Jenna Bush a question, a plain clothed man escorting someone in a wheelchair started a fight. Both men were taken to a local police precinct and the man who started the fight was released, while Gary was held and later charged with 3rd Degree Assault.
“Please call the 19th Precinct and ask them why Gary was unlawfully arrested and charged with a third degree assault charge when he is innocent and obviously the victim,” asks Rudkowski.
Inside the event, We Are Change reporter Matt Lepacek attempted to interrupt a Laura Bush speech with a question before he was quickly dragged away by police.
Luke Rudkowski reports that the police intentionally bashed Lepacek’s head against a door or wall as they removed him from the scene. Lepacek recorded the incident on his cell phone but this was quickly confiscated by police.
Lepacek was subsequently released with a summons for disorderly conduct and will go to court in the future.
Matt Lepacek previously made headlines when he was arrested for asking a question of one of Rudy Giuliani’s staff members during a press conference last June.
“Phone calls from this office to Precinct 19 in attempt to obtain accurate information about the charges resulted in rude behavior and several hang-ups, as well as a transfer to the NYPD’s Dept. of Public Information (a dead end),” writes Rudkowski.
We Are Change are urging supporters to call the police precinct and politely ask that all charges be dropped against Matt Lepacek and Gary.

Ex-Secret Service: Bhutto Killing A “Professional Job”
Government explanation loses all credibility as Musharraf looks for Britain, US to bail him out

Former Secret Service Assistant Director Bill Pickle tells CNN that the killing of Benazir Bhutto was a “professional job” as the credibility of the initial government explanation for her death dwindles into an outright farce.
With the official government explanation for Bhutto’s death (that she died after hitting her head on a sunroof) now completely discredited after footage emerged clearly showing a gunman firing at her before the explosion, Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf has been forced to bring in London’s Scotland Yard to whitewash the ugly aftermath.
The military dictator was no doubt impressed by the Metropolitan Police’s execution of innocent Brazilian electrician Jean Charles de Menezes, as well as their disgraceful success in avoiding any reprisals for his murder.
Musharraf is so dependent on his British and American handlers to bail him out of this mess that he is even prepared to hand over control of his nuclear arsenal to them, according to a report in the UK Herald.
“US special forces snatch squads are on standby to seize or disable Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal in the event of a collapse of government authority or the outbreak of civil war following the assassination of Benazir Bhutto,” reported the newspaper.
“The troops, augmented by volunteer scientists from America’s Nuclear Emergency Search Team organisation, are under orders to take control of an estimated 60 warheads dispersed around six to 10 high-security Pakistani military bases.“

Why is the Secret Service protecting Glenn Beck?
Glenn Beck Confronted, Protagonists Questioned By Secret Service – Ron Paul supporters threatened with arrest for asking CNN host about recent tirade linking them with terrorists

Members of We Are Change Ohio were threatened with arrest and questioned by members of the Secret Service before and after confronting CNN host Glenn Beck this past weekend about his efforts to link Ron Paul supporters with terrorists, during public appearances at which Beck was promoting his new book.
Pro-Ron Paul demonstrators were waiting for Beck as he arrived at two separate events in Ohio, but those who tried to question Beck about his recent tirade about the Congressman’s supporters being a “physical threat” that should be dealt with by the U.S. military were quickly booted out by security and threatened with arrest by police if they re-entered the bookstore.
Beck and his mindless sycophants applauded as Change members were frog-marched out of the building for asking a question.
During one more low-key exchange, Beck did agree to have Ron Paul on his CNN show. Attempts to give Beck a V For Vendetta DVD were unsuccessful.

U.S. taxpayers footed the bill for four police to man the event at the second appearance in Columbus, along with several other plain clothed officers and even Secret Service officials who, according to demonstrators, questioned Ron Paul supporters.
Activists claimed that Beck’s employees admitted Secret Service were chaperoning Beck, leading to charges that Beck is being directly bankrolled and protected by the government to spew his propaganda.
One man was questioned about Ron Paul as he lined up to meet Beck.
“I know it wasn’t one of these people (the Ron Paul supporters),” he remarked.
“They looked like former military officers,” he added.

FBI Raids Liberty Dollar Office – Confiscating Ron Paul Dollars

The future of an Evansville-based company that produces a “private voluntary barter currency” known as the Liberty Dollar is in question after federal agents raided the facility this week, according to an e-mail sent by its founder.
Federal officials reportedly raided the group’s headquarters, located in a strip mall at 225 N. Stockwell Road, early Wednesday morning and seized documents and precious metals.
FBI Agent Wendy Osborne, a spokeswoman for the FBI’s Indianapolis office, directed all questions on the raid to the Western District of North Carolina U.S. Attorney’s Office. A spokeswoman there said she had no information on the investigation.
Bernard von NotHaus, the group’s monetary architect and the author of the e-mail, did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
Von NotHaus developed the Liberty Dollar in 1998 as an “inflation-proof” alternative currency to the U.S. Dollar, which he has claimed has devalued since the Federal Reserve was established in 1913. The silver medallions are produced by a private mint in Idaho on behalf of Evansville-based Liberty Services, which also issues paper notes which the group says are backed by silver reserves.
Liberty Dollar employees were at the office this morning cleaning up after the raid. They referred all questions to von NotHaus.
According to the e-mail, about a dozen agents arrived Wednesday morning and seized gold, silver, platinum and nearly two tons of recently delivered Ron Paul Dollars. They also took all the files, all the computers and froze the group’s bank accounts, the e-mail said.
“We have no money. We have no products. We have no records to even know what was ordered or what you are owed,” von NotHaus wrote in the e-mail, which was sent to Liberty Dollar customers. “We have nothing but the will to push forward and overcome this massive assault on our liberty and our right to have real money as defined by the US Constitution. We should not to be defrauded by the fake government money.”
The e-mail said the gold and silver that backs up the paper and digital currency was confiscated, as were the dies used to mint the Liberty Dollars themselves. As a result, it warns that recent orders placed for Liberty Dollars may not be filled and it encourages supporters to band together for a class action lawsuit.
The e-mail repeatedly defends the Liberty Dollar as legal.
“You did nothing wrong,” von NotHaus wrote. “You are legally entitled to your property. Let us use this terrible act to band together and further our goal to return America to a value based currency.”
