During a visit to India in July of this year, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed not only the administration’s commitment to tackle ‘global climate change’, but also her willingness to link it to overpopulation.
After a roundtable discussion with Indian Minister for Environment Jairam Ramesh, Clinton openly pondered this supposed link:
“One of the participants”, Clinton stated, “pointed out that it’s rather odd to talk about climate change and what we must do to stop and prevent the ill effects without talking about population and family planning.”
“That was an incredibly important point”, Clinton added. “And yet, we talk about these things in very separate and often unconnected ways.”
These recent comments made by Clinton reflect the mindset of the neo-Malthusian scientists currently occupying key positions in the Obama administration.
It may not come as a complete surprise to those who have studied the matter in some depth. The same Malthusian idea that triggered eugenics in the past now inspires the current environmentalist movement pushing global carbon taxes and other supranational measures, supposedly to ‘curb our carbon footprint’.
A couple of months before Clinton’s statements, LifeNews.Com reported on the comments by Clinton advisor Nina Fedoroff, who stated before BBC One Planet:
“We need to continue to decrease the growth rate of the global population; the planet can’t support many more people. There are probably already too many people on the planet.”
What we are witnessing here is the true mindset and ambition of the globalists and their cronies, namely to reduce the world’s population, the sooner the better. As the elite often admit, the current fixation on CO2 is just a pretext in order to get the job done.

Bill would give president emergency control of Internet

Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.
They’re not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency.
The new version would allow the president to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat. Other sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for “cybersecurity professionals,” and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license.
“I think the redraft, while improved, remains troubling due to its vagueness,” said Larry Clinton, president of the Internet Security Alliance, which counts representatives of Verizon, Verisign, Nortel, and Carnegie Mellon University on its board. “It is unclear what authority Sen. Rockefeller thinks is necessary over the private sector. Unless this is clarified, we cannot properly analyze, let alone support the bill.”
Representatives of other large Internet and telecommunications companies expressed concerns about the bill in a teleconference with Rockefeller’s aides this week, but were not immediately available for interviews on Thursday.
A spokesman for Rockefeller also declined to comment on the record Thursday, saying that many people were unavailable because of the summer recess. A Senate source familiar with the bill compared the president’s power to take control of portions of the Internet to what President Bush did when grounding all aircraft on Sept. 11, 2001. The source said that one primary concern was the electrical grid, and what would happen if it were attacked from a broadband connection.

Near the end of the video here shot by WeAreChange activists, the great-grandson of John D. Rockefeller can only offer a telling smile when asked about the eugenics history of his family. “Go find somebody else to talk to,” snaps the West Virginia senator when politely asked to elaborate.
As briefly documented in the short video, the Rockefeller family essentially created the modern eugenics movement from scratch. As John B. Sharpless of the University of Wisconsin documented in 1993 after examining the files of the Rockefeller Foundation, the records of the Population Council, and the personal papers of John D. Rockefeller III, Rockefeller spawned foundations are responsible for a “nearly unanimous change in attitudes and ideas about population that occurred during the 1960s.” In addition to the Rockefeller Foundation and the Population Council, other foundations active in eugenics include the Ford Foundation, the Milbank Memorial Fund, the Carnegie Corporation, and the Conservation Foundation.
The Carnegie Institution established a laboratory complex at Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island in 1904 that stockpiled millions of index cards on ordinary Americans, as researchers carefully plotted the removal of families, bloodlines and whole peoples. “From Cold Spring Harbor, eugenics advocates agitated in the legislatures of America, as well as the nation’s social service agencies and associations,” Edwin Black wrote for the San Francisco Chronicle in 2003.
In the United States, key eugenic organizations funded by the Rockefeller, Harriman and Carnegie families included the American Eugenics Society, and its sister organization, the American Society of Human Genetics established in 1947, the above mentioned Cold Springs Harbor Experimental Station for the Study of Evolution, the Eugenic Record Office, and the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research.
It should be noted that J.D. Rockefeller and Averell Harriman were business partners of Prescott Bush in Brown Brothers Harriman. In addition to funding and promoting eugenics, they supported and funded the Nazi rise to power. Jay Rockefeller’s family is responsible for the racist eugenics policies that led to the mass extermination of millions.
The Rockefellers funded the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Germany, ultimately responsible for Hitler’s mass extermination policy.
In addition to supporting Alexis Carrel, who advocated the use of poison gas to get rid of useless eaters, the Rockefellers funded the program that Josef Mengele worked in before he went to Auschwitz where he became medical commandant and experimented on concentration camp inmates. These gruesome medical experiments included needles used to change eye color, work on infections and blood transfusions, the removal of limbs without anesthetics, sex changes, sterilization, and other unspeakable crimes. Countless people were murdered and their organs, eyeballs, heads, and limbs sent to the Rockefeller group at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute.
The Rockefellers’ chief executive for the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute was the fascist Swiss psychiatrist Ernst Rudin. Rudin and his staff, as part of the Task Force of Heredity Experts chaired by SS chief Heinrich Himmler, crafted Germany’s sterilization law. Dr. Alexis Carrel of the Rockefeller Institute and a Nobel Prize winner publically applauded Hitler for advocating the mass murder of mental patients and prisoners.
Rockefeller and his bankster cronies were up to their eyes in eugenics and mass extermination. “Under the Nazis, the German chemical company I.G. Farben and Rockefeller’s Standard Oil of New Jersey were effectively a single firm, merged in hundreds of cartel arrangements. I.G. Farben was led, up until 1937, by the Warburg family, Rockefeller’s partner in banking and in the design of Nazi German eugenics,” writes Anton Chaitkin. Standard-Germany president Emil Helfferich testified after the war that Standard Oil funds helped pay for SS guards at Auschwitz, the notorious mass extermination and slave labor camp.
After the war, the Rockefeller eugenics movement experienced a facelift to distance itself from the discredited Nazis. In the 1950s, the Rockefellers reorganized the U.S. eugenics movement and added population-control and abortion groups. The Eugenics Society changed its name to the Society for the Study of Social Biology — a mere two months after Roe was handed down. “The name was changed because it became evident that changes of a eugenic nature would be made for reasons other than eugenics, and that tying a eugenic label on them would more often hinder than help their adoption. Birth control and abortion are turning out to be great eugenic advances of our time. If they had been advanced for eugenic reasons it would have retarded or stopped their acceptance,” commented Frederick Osborn, who oversaw the workings of the organization at the time.
As documented by Rebecca Messall and others, Roe v. Wade “relies directly and indirectly on the work of members of the British and American eugenic societies and of eugenics-related groups and initiatives.” Abortion has nothing to do with “choice” or empowering women — it is about controlling the masses and culling the herd.
In his excellent study of the Rockefellers, Gary Allen explains that the “Rockefeller game plan is to use population, energy, food, and financial controls as a method of people control which will lead, steadily and deliberately, into the Great Merger,” a one-world government and global fascism. “Understand that … enforced infertility is not planned for India or Senegal, but for the United States, where zero population growth is already a fact.
But we are being led to believe that unless we give Big Brother total power over people’s rights to have children, we will all be ankle deep in human beings within a decade. Such august organizations as the National Academy of Sciences are helping to hawk this Rockefeller line… Curbing population growth is just part of the Rockefeller war on the American family. Abortion is another.
Jay Rockefeller may deny knowledge of his family’s intimate connections to eugenics and abortion — and direct involvement in Hitler’s genocidal rampage across Europe — but the record is out there for all to see. It is easily researched on the internet.
And maybe that is why Jay Rockefeller mused during a Senate committee hearing a few months ago that we’d all be better off if the internet never existed. Minus the internet and search engines, it will be far easier to lead the masses to near extinction if they go ignorantly blissful like lambs to the slaughter with little more resistance than a bleat.
Drastically slashing world population and reducing the remainder into obedient slaves is the final act of the global elite. Jay Rockefeller knows it and that’s what his knowing smile was all about.

If Elected Obama Will Declare CO2 a “Dangerous Pollutant”

In an interview with Bloomberg’s Jim Efstathiou Jr., Barack Obama’s energy adviser, Jason Grumet, said if elected Obama will classify carbon dioxide as a dangerous pollutant. Obama will tell the Environmental Protection Agency that it may use the 1990 Clean Air Act to set emissions limits, according to Grumet, and he will likely do this immediately upon taking office, David Bookbinder, chief climate counsel for the Sierra Club told Bloomberg.
“The U.S. has to move quickly domestically so we can get back in the game internationally,” Grumet said. In other words, an Obama administration would impose draconian carbon emission regulations on the American people and “help clear the deadlock in talks on an international agreement to slow global warming,” according to Rajendra Pachauri, head of a United Nation panel of climate-change scientists. Negotiators from almost 200 countries will meet in December in Poznan, Poland, to discuss ways to limit CO2, that is to say they will work on a global carbon taxation structure.
Obama has worked closely on this global taxation and world government scam under the cover of environmentalism with Zbigniew Brzezinski, Al Gore, and former communist leader Mikhail Gorbachev, an advocate of the so-called Earth Charter and the author of Manifesto for Earth. Brzezinski co-founded the Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller in 1973. Rockefeller and fellow globalist Maurice Strong of Canada were instrumental in the creation of the Earth Charter. As noted above, the Sierra Club will play a decisive role in Obama’s administration. The organization takes money from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and is closely aligned with the United Nations Environmental Program. Strong was UNEP’s first executive director.
It is a well documented fact the environmental movement receives huge disbursements from chartered institutions such as the Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, W. Alton Jones Foundation, Turner Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, the David and Lucille Packard Foundation, the Alfred W. Mellon Foundation, and others, including Bill and Melinda Gates, the Heinz family and the Carnegie Corporation. It is no mistake foundation funded environmental groups are now calling for a global carbon tax structure and an international governing regime to monitor and regulate carbon dioxide, as this serves the plan of their masters well.
An Obama administration will kick this scheme into warp drive and hasten the implementation of a world government of the sort members of the global elite have worked toward for many years. A phony environmental crisis, with carbon emissions playing the role as chief villain, is a perfect storm for the global elite. “We are on the verge of a global transformation,” David Rockefeller once quipped. “All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order.”
France: Turmoil Must Not Affect Climate Change Bill

France and Germany urged smaller European Union economies not to use the world financial meltdown as an excuse to gut legislation that aims to combat global warming with deep cuts in greenhouse gas emissions.
French Environment Minister Jean-Louis Borloo said at an EU environment ministers’ meeting that “the European Union must keep its leadership role” in climate change to nudge the United States and others into a global deal on slashing emissions.
The bill, which aims to cut EU greenhouse gas emissions 20 percent by 2020, is to be adopted in December. The EU hopes it will lead to a deal that month at UN climate negotiations in Poznan, Poland.
“We cannot afford to delay,” German Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel said.
In last-minute objections, Italy said the bill would hurt its industries because Chinese and US competitors face no equivalent emission burdens. Italian officials pushed for a clause that would force the European Commission to do a new cost analysis of the climate change bill in 2009.
Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia say they have already made great cuts in carbon emissions since emerging from communism.
Borloo said “there was a very strong willingness” to work toward a deal by December.” But, he added, “the financial markets crisis must not delay this. The EU must keep its leadership role or there will be no point in going to Poznan.”
The financial turmoil has triggered fears of a global recession that would make governments less eager to get major polluters such as energy generators, steel makers and cement producers to pay billions into a cap-and-trade emissions scheme.
The EU cap-and-trade program could impose up to 50 billion euros ($68.8 billion) a year in polluter fees.
EU Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas said critics exaggerated the costs.
“Approving the EU bill in December will be consistent with tackling the financial crisis,” because it will promote investments in clean energy, creating jobs and easing the EU’s dependence on oil imports, he said.
The European Commission estimates the cost of the climate change bill at 0.5 percent of the bloc’s gross national product by 2020.

The U.S. Senate will try to salvage a $700 billion financial-rescue package after the measure was defeated in the House of Representatives. The lawmakers won’t have a lot of room to negotiate.
While the legislation will need to be tweaked enough to win over reluctant House Republicans, the lawmakers will risk losing votes from Democrats if they veer too far from the delicate compromise that congressional leaders hammered out with the U.S. Treasury.
“They’re not going to totally revamp the bill,’’ said Pete Davis, president of Davis Capital Investment Ideas in Washington, who spoke to House and Senate leaders yesterday. “They’ll make some minor changes and pass it. This is all about political cover.’’

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s $700 billion plan to buy devalued assets from financial companies is “a joke” because it doesn’t go far enough to calm markets, said Kenichi Ohmae, president of Business Breakthrough Inc.
Ohmae, nicknamed “Mr. Strategy” during his 23 years as a McKinsey & Co. partner, called for a $5 trillion “international facility” to be made available to financial institutions. The system could be modeled on one used by Sweden during its banking crisis in the early 1990s, he said.
“This is a liquidity crisis,” Ohmae said at an investor forum hosted by CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets, the regional broking arm of Credit Agricole SA, in Hong Kong yesterday. “The liquidity has to be so big that people won’t get panicky.”
Paulson’s proposal to remove hard-to-sell assets clogging the financial system marks the broadest intervention since at least the Great Depression. Asian stocks fell today, following U.S. shares lower as investors questioned whether the effort is enough to prevent a recession.
The plan came after the collapse of 158-year-old Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and the government takeover of insurer American International Group Inc. caused financial markets to seize up last week. The calamity was the culmination of a year during which the U.S. housing market slump left banks and securities firms with more than $520 billion of asset writedowns and credit losses.

That is not a surprise, since Paulson represents Goldman Sachs, and Obama is a wholly owned property of Goldman Sachs, which is his single biggest source of campaign contributions. Obama is a creature of Brzezinski, Soros, and Rockefeller, and without them he has no existence; Obama is an abject Wall Street puppet, an agent of finance capital. This week, both senators will have to decide how they vote on the odious derivatives bailout. Obama will surely vote in favor of it, since this is what Wall Street demands. If McCain votes against it, he will most probably propel himself into the White House on the model of Give ‘Em Hell Harry in 1948. Filthy corrupt Democrats like Schumer are already attacking McCain as the new Huey Long. Huey Long, the Louisiana populist of the 1930s, had many positive features, and we could certainly use a good dose of Huey Long in this country to counteract the elitism, oligarchism, condescension, and arrogant snobbery of foundation operatives like Obama. The bailout is already very unpopular 72% of all voters are opposed to it and it will become more and more hated when it becomes clear that it is also a failure. McCain’s course is clear. Will he have the brains and guts to cross Obama’s T on this vital issue?
PAULSON OF GOLDMAN SACHS, WOULD-BE FINANCE DICTATOR
Paulson is a ruthless and brutal eco-freak usurer who learned his trade at the Goldman Sachs stock-jobbing operation. He is now the leading member of the committee of public safety which rules in Washington, and which includes Gates, Rice, and Mullen. He now demands the astronomical sum of 700 billion dollars for the bailout of mortgage-backed derivatives, collateralized debt obligations, credit default swaps, and other poisonous derivatives. Make no mistake — this is not a bailout of homeowners who are threatened with foreclosure; it is a bailout of the lunatic house of cards which desperate bankers have built on these mortgages using derivatives. The entire crisis is not a crisis of subprime mortgages, it is a crisis of the derivatives bubble which was launched by Wendy Gramm of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission and Greenspan of the Fed with the connivance of Robert Rubin of Goldman Sachs and Citibank, and others in the Clinton administration, some 15 years ago.
These derivatives now amount to a total worldwide notional value that can be estimated between 1 quadrillion and two quadrillion US dollars. This sum is so large that it dwarfs the total value of the entire planet earth and all those who live here. Compared to the cancerous, bloated, and fictitious mass of derivatives which is at the root of this crisis, the $700 billion demanded by politicians, large as this may seem, is nothing but a drop in the bucket. And a drop in the bailout bucket is what it will be. The mass of world derivatives between $1 and $2 quadrillion represents an insatiable black hole which is capable of putting an end, not just to civilization, but the human life itself. The moral choice could not be clearer: humanity will either destroy the derivatives bubble in our time, or the derivatives bubble will surely destroy humanity. Those are the stakes in the current exercise.
Paulson and Bernanke, both lawyers for the Wall Street jackals, lampreys, vultures and hyenas, argue that the public interest demands a bailout of their cronies at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, Wachovia, and the other large money center institutions. Before the American public antes up $700 billion just for openers in the game of genocidal poker which run by the infernal croupiers Paulson and Bernanke, we would be very well advised to examine the veracity of this premise.

Banks borrowed a record amount of funds from the Federal Reserve in the latest week as the year old credit crisis took a persistent toll, while the commercial paper market continued to contract, signaling tough conditions for short term borrowers.
Banks’ primary credit borrowings averaged $17.45 billion per day in the latest week, the second straight week this had hit a record and up from $16.38 billion the previous week, Fed data showed on Thursday.

Zimbabwe will drop 10 zeros from its hyper-inflated currency — turning 10 billion dollars into one — the country’s reserve bank said Wednesday. President Robert Mugabe threatened a state of emergency if businesses profiteer from the country’s economic and political unraveling.
Shop shelves are empty and there are chronic shortages of everything including medication, food, fuel, power and water. Eighty percent of the work force is unemployed and many who do have jobs don’t earn enough to pay for bus fare.

12 Babies Die During Vaccine Trials

At least 12 babies who were part of a clinical study to test the effectiveness of a vaccine against pneumonia have died over the past year in Argentina, the local press reported Thursday.
The study was sponsored by global drug giant GlaxoSmithKline and uses children from poor families, who are “pressured and forced into signing consent forms,” the Argentine Federation of Health Professionals, or Fesprosa, said.
“This occurs without any type of state control” and “does not comply with minimum ethical requirements,” Fesprosa said.
The vaccine trial is still ongoing despite the denunciations, and those in charge of the study were cited by the Critica newspaper as saying that the procedures are being carried out in a lawful manner.

Every adult should be forced to use a ’carbon ration card’ when they pay for petrol, airline tickets or household energy, MPs say.
The influential Environmental Audit Committee says a personal carbon trading scheme is the best and fairest way of cutting Britain’s CO2 emissions without penalising the poor.
Under the scheme, everyone would be given an annual carbon allowance to use when buying oil, gas, electricity and flights.
Anyone who exceeds their entitlement would have to buy top-up credits from individuals who haven’t used up their allowance. The amount paid would be driven by market forces and the deal done through a specialist company.
MPs, led by Tory Tim Yeo, say the scheme could be more effective at cutting greenhouse gas emissions than green taxes.
But critics say the idea is costly, bureaucratic, intrusive and unworkable.
The Government says it supports the scheme in principle, but warns it is ’ahead of its time’.
The idea of personal carbon trading is increasingly being promoted by environmentalists. In theory it could be used to cover all purchases – from petrol to food.
For the scheme to work, the Government would need to give out 45million carbon cards – each one linked to a personal carbon account. Every year, the account would be credited with a notional amount of CO2 in kilograms.

Officials in Plymouth, Devon, are to send a questionnaire to every household asking them to give intimate personal details about their family.
Householders are also being asked to nominate one person who will take legal responsibility for anything put in their bins.
The council is even asking how many children families have and whether they use disposable nappies.

Okay, so Ted Turner’s not a people person. But, he has a plan to bring the world’s population down to 2 billion– a figure substantially less than current numbers– that he says would allow for a better standard of living… for everyone.
Though it might be trying for the world to adopt the brutal one-child policy of China, it would, ideally, help humanity to avoid the nightmare cannibalism scenario Turner claims we otherwise face in the wake of global warming.
Ted Turner used his Southern charm to calm worries that he longed for 95% decline from current population levels during a question and answer session– as the billionaire eugenicist was quoted in Audubon magazine more than a decade ago.
“That’s not really true,” Turner told members of Philly 9/11 Truth. He instead cited 2 billion as the target– a mere 2/3 reduction of the human population — which he claims would allow ’everyone’ to have a decent standard of living, including a “refrigerator and air conditioner.”
The 9/11 Truth activists probed the billionaire on how he would achieve these population goals– citing policymakers like Henry Kissinger who advocate using ’food as weapon.’
Turner commented, “The way I think we should get there is have a voluntary one child per family for the next hundred years… like they do in China now.”
Despite the fact that Turner himself has 5 children, he has put forward this view a number of times before. “We’re too many people; that’s why we have global warming,” he told PBS’s Charlie Rose in April. “Too many people are using too much stuff.”
“On a voluntary basis, everybody in the world’s got to pledge to themselves that one or two children is it,” Turner added during the April 2008 interview.
China’s policies have been heavily criticized not only for the gross human rights violations against its dehumanized population, but also for its peer-pressure affect on the rest of the world to adopt similar polices. China, too, started with a so-called ’voluntary’ policy which then led to fines and only later to more extreme punishments for having more than one child.
In the name of global warming and environmentalism, children have now been blamed as ’part of the problem’ and calls to limit children have now saturated the Western World.
In the third world, Turner has contributed literally billions to population reduction, namely through United Nations programs , leading the way for the likes of Bill & Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett (Gates father, for one, has long been a leading board member of Planned Parenthood and a top eugenicist).
These same figures have also donated vast sums of money for vaccination programs that many have identified as part of the problem.
Members of Philly 9/11 Truth also asked Turner about being the largest land owner in North America. Turner suggested that his vast acreage– estimated at more than 2 million acres— was being put to good use, deflecting claims of hypocrisy.
Turner has also been criticized recently for advocating the production of corn-based ethanol, which has now been blamed by the U.N. and others for causing food shortages and increased poverty, particularly in the 3rd World.
Philly 9/11 Truth also confronted the unrepentant Turner after the event to further criticize his involvement with globalist agendas that continue to pursue drastic population reduction at the cost of dignity and respect for the masses of humanity.

Billionaire Globalist Ted Turner, who earlier this month predicted that global warming would eventually lead to cannibalism, has repeated his call to curb population growth, claiming that disappearing farmland will cause food riots, despite the fact that Turner himself is behind the push to grow corn-based ethanol, an industry the UN has blamed for food shortages and increased poverty.

“There are a lot of different problems being caused by an ever-increasing number of people in a finite-sized world,” Turner told CNBC’s Bob Pisani. “The resources of the planet just can’t keep up with the demand and I’m afraid this going to be more commonplace. I’m afraid we’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg. It’s very complicated I do want to say.”
“We’ve had warnings for a number of years,” Turner said. “Grain stocks have been dropping every year for the last 10 years or pretty close to that – the reserves. And, the environment in so many different areas is being – the pressure being put on it by the ever-increasing number of people and the number of people using more stuff and more energy – that’s what ‘s leading to global climate change and the over-fishing of the oceans,” he added.
Turner cited increased vehicle usage as a reason for disappearing farmland.
“Agriculture is complicated anyway. For instance – China adds more cars, they need more roads and the only place to put more roads in China is over farmland. So you lose farmland as you increase development. We’re doing it even here in the United States.”
However, Turner failed to acknowledge the fact that one of the main reasons behind food shortages is global demand for biofuels, an industry that Turner has vigorously promoted and publicly supported in a 2006 WTO speech.
As the UN warned last year, “The global rush to switch from oil to energy derived from plants will drive deforestation, push small farmers off the land and lead to serious food shortages and increased poverty unless carefully managed”.
Earlier this month, Turner caused shockwaves when he stated that inaction on global warming “will be catastrophic” and those who don’t die “will be cannibals.”

Turner himself failed to live up to such a pledge, having fathered five children, but continues to lecture the rest of us on how we should limit our procreation.
Some would find Turner’s zeal to “thin” the human population hard to reconcile with his leadership of a UN initiative to combat malaria.
When one considers Turner’s past comments about the supposed need to drastically cut world population levels by up to 95%, his involvement in any kind of program run under the guise of “improving health” in third world countries should be examined with severe caution.
“A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal,” Turner stated in 1996.
As the Baltimore Sun reported, “Most of [Ted Turner’s first donation to the United Nations Foundation of] $22 million went to programs that seek to stall population growth.”

‘Doomsday’ seeds arrive in Norway
The first consignment of seeds bound for the “doomsday vault” on Svalbard has arrived in Norway.
Twenty-one boxes containing 7,000 seed samples from 36 African nations were sent by the Nigeria-based International Institute of Tropical Agriculture.
The final leg of the journey will take the seeds to the remote Arctic Island.
The vault is intended to act as insurance so that food production can be restarted anywhere on Earth after a regional or global catastrophe.
Built deep inside a mountain, the structure will eventually house a vast collection of seeds; safeguarding world crops against possible future disasters including nuclear wars and dangerous climate change.
The temperature inside the Svalbard Global Seed Vault will drop to -18C (0F) in order to preserve the seeds.
The Norwegian government is paying the $9m (£4.5m) construction costs of the vault, which will have enough space to house 4.5 million seed samples.
The seeds, weighing 330kg (730lb), are made up of varieties of domesticated and wild cowpea, maize, soybean and bambara groundnut.
“The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture genebank houses the world’s largest collection of cowpeas, with over 15,000 unique varieties from 88 countries around the world,” said Dr Dominique Dumet, the institute’s genebank manager.
During January, other national seed banks supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) began packing and shipping duplicate collections that will be stored at Svalbard.
These included collections from Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines and Syria.
Collectively, CGIAR centres maintain 600,000 plant varieties in crop genebanks in a global effort to conserve agricultural biodiversity.
The collection and maintenance of the seeds is being co-ordinated by the Global Crop Diversity Trust, which has responsibility of ensuring the “conservation of crop diversity in perpetuity”.
“The seed vault is the perfect place for keeping seeds safe for centuries,” said Cary Fowler, the Trust’s executive director.
“At these temperatures, seeds for important crops like wheat, barley and peas can last for up to 1,000 years.”
The seed vault has been built 120m (390ft) inside a mountain on Spitsbergen, one of four islands that make up Svalbard.
The site, roughly 1,000km (600 miles) north of mainland Norway, was chosen as the location for the vault because it was very remote and it also offered the level of stability required for the long-term project.
The vault is scheduled to be formally opened on 26 February.

Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich on Tuesday asked his supporters to make rival Barack Obama their second choice if he doesn’t meet a cutoff point for voting in Iowa’s caucuses.
Kucinich, an Ohio congressman at the back of the pack of Democratic hopefuls, seemed to concede a loss in the caucuses. He said his recommendation was for “Iowa only.”
“Senator Obama and I are competing in the New Hampshire primary next Tuesday, where I want to be the first choice of New Hampshire voters,” Kucinich said in a statement.
Candidates in Thursday night’s caucuses must reach a level of support in each of the state’s 1,781 precincts – typically 15 percent of those who attend. Candidates who fail to meet that aren’t considered viable, and their supporters can move to another candidate or go home.
“I hope Iowans will caucus for me as their first choice … because of my singular positions on the war, on health care and trade,” Kucinich said. “But in those caucus locations where my support doesn’t reach the necessary threshold, I strongly encourage all of my supporters to make Barack Obama their second choice.”
Obama thanked Kucinich for the recommendation.

I can’t believe I actually made the mistake of voting for this guy. But then, all of us are entitled to a mistake or two.
From Politico: “Ralph Nader unleashed on Hillary Rodham Clinton Monday — criticizing her for being soft on defense spending and a chum of big business — and expressed his strong support for John Edwards.”
That is, for the CFR’s candidate, as Edwards is their darling. I don’t know if Nader is unaware of this. No, he is really too smart to be that brain dead. Obviously, Ralph Nader is a shill for the New World Order. It figures.
In an 11th hour effort to encourage liberal Iowans to “recognize” Edwards by “giving him a victory,” the activist and former presidential contender said in an interview that Clinton will “pander to corporate interest groups” if elected.
Nader specifically accused Clinton of failing to challenge military spending because “she is a woman who doesn’t want to be labeled as soft on defense and she doesn’t want to be shown as taking on big business.”
Sure, Ralph. And Edwards will dismantle the military-intelligence network and send the corporate death merchants a-running for shelter.
And there is a bridge in Brooklyn and it is for sale, too.
Nader, a four-time presidential candidate, called Edwards a Democratic “glimmer of hope.” He has long criticized Democrats as indistinguishable from Republicans, chiding both parties as slaves to corporate financing and interests.
It was Nader who famously — or infamously to many Democrats — siphoned off enough liberal votes from Al Gore in 2000 to hand New Hampshire and Florida, and as a result, the presidency, to George W. Bush. Since 2004, however, Nader has been increasingly controversial within the political left. He was booed at a national conference of progressives earlier this year.
Is the CFR a “glimmer of hope”?
It is if you are a fan of one-world government, as Nader apparently is. Does Ralph believe the machinations of the Rockefeller Foundation and Carnegie Foundation are in the best interest of the American people?

But let’s be fair — John Edwards is not a member of the CFR. He only hangs out with them. Earlier this year he delivered a speech to the CFR faithful and warmed the cockles of their hearts. He co-chaired a CFR task force with Jack Kemp. John Edwards is a consummate insider and he will deliver our sovereignty to the globalists on a silver platter.
So will Ralph Nader.

It’s a super — as in superhero — way to inculcate the younger generation:
“Marvel Comics and the United Nations are teaming up to create comic books to show superheroes working with the agency to rid the world of conflict and disease,” reports United Press International. “The United Nations and Marvel Comics are working together to develop a comic book set in a fictional war-torn country with superheroes working alongside UNICEF aid workers and U.N peacekeepers.”
No mention of the “war-torn country” this will be based upon, but allow me to offer and example: Yugoslavia. In this example, the United States secretly supported a terrorist group, the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army, and filled their ranks with “al-Qaeda fighters,” delivered by NATO with a bit of help from Germany’s BND.
As engineered, this project helped fuel Yugoslavia’s social and ethnic divisions and create a situation rife for a “peacekeeping” operation. It also helped to have the IMF and bankers working on the destruction of the Yugoslavian economy, ushering in third worldization and blueprinted misery.
Slobodan Milosevic, like Saddam Hussein after him, became a “new Hitler,” with plenty of help from a script-reading corporate media accusing him of directing his army to rape between 25,000 to 100,000 Muslim women.
At the behest of the United Nations and its puppet master, the United States, NATO, in direct violation of its charter, bombed Yugoslavia. “Yugoslavia attacked no NATO member,” writes Michael Parenti. “U.S. leaders discarded international law and diplomacy,” although of course “U.S. diplomacy is something else, as evidenced in its dealings with Vietnam, Nicaragua, Panama, Iraq” and other “rogue nations.”
“The United Nations hopes to bolster its international image damaged by the unilateral diplomatic efforts of some Western countries by teaching children the value of international cooperation,” the UPI continues. “The United Nations said it will distribute the comics to nearly 1 million U.S. children initially, but hopes to reach a broader international audience following the initial release.”
International cooperation, for instance, consisting of the premeditated murder of 500,000 Iraqi children under medieval sanctions and allowing the genocide in Rwanda to unfold with sickening precision. In fact, there is a farrago of nasty stuff the “humanitarian” United Nations has been accused of over the years, although you will not learn about it by way of the corporate media:
“United Nations peacekeeping troops have been involved in a catalogue of crimes and scandals across the globe,” the Scotsman reported in 2002.
During the UN peacekeeping mission to Somalia, it was claimed Canadian, Belgian and Italian soldiers were involved in torture and murder.
An inquiry by the Canadian government of a young Somali man in 1993, found that he had been murdered by its troops and that a senior officer had lied in an attempt to cover up the atrocity. Two soldiers were jailed.
In Belgium, newspapers published photographs of two soldiers holding a Somali boy over a fire. Three paratroopers were prosecuted, but were acquitted by a military tribunal.
An Italian magazine published photographs showing soldiers from the country’s elite paratroop regiment apparently torturing a naked Somali with electrodes and sexually abusing a Somali woman. Two generals who had commanded the Italian force in Somalia resigned.
In January 2000 the United Nations were sued for the first time in its history for alleged complicity in the crime of genocide which drove hundreds of thousands Rwandan Tutsis from their homes.
Two Rwandan women accused the UN, which was meant to be defending their families, of handing them over to their killers or running away.
The families of these women were slaughtered during the 1994 genocide in which 800,000, mostly Tutsi people, were slaughtered by Hutus.
In Bosnia, more than 20 peacekeepers were ejected from the mission for theft and corruption. Nearly four dozen others were sent home after allegedly abusing mental patients at a hospital. Canadian peacekeepers were accused of rape, beatings and sexual abuse of a teenage handicapped girl.
Don’t expect any of this to find its way into a Marvel comic book.

According to a former “senior intelligence official”, the White House knew of the existence of the CIA interrogation tapes since 2003, at the very latest, and tacitly approved the destruction of the tapes in 2005.
Indeed, former CIA agent and State Department counterterrorism official Larry Johnson said that it was “highly likely” that President Bush himself had viewed the videotapes of the 2002 interrogations that were later destroyed. Is that why the White House has instructed its spokesperson not to answer any questions on the subject?
And according to the Director of the CIA, Congress was also informed about the existence of the tapes, and — later — of the CIA’s intention to destroy them.
Indeed, Senator Rockefeller has confirmed that the Senate Intelligence Committee knew of the existence of the videotapes in 2003. And Congresswoman Harman has confirmed that the House Intelligence Committee also learned of the existence of the videotapes in 2003. Is that why Senator Rockefeller opposes any real investigation into the destruction of the tapes, saying “I don’t think there’s a need for a special counsel, and I don’t think there’s a need for a special commission”?
The obstruction of justice regarding the tapes appears to have been orchestrated by the very highest levels of the U.S. Government.
Guantanamo Legal Adviser Refuses To Say Iranians Waterboarding Americans Would Be Torture

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on “The Legal Rights of Guantanamo Detainees” this morning, Brigadier General Thomas W. Hartmann, the legal adviser at Guantanamo Bay, repeatedly refused to call the hypothetical waterboarding of an American pilot by the Iranian military torture. “I’m not equipped to answer that question,” said Hartmann.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who asked the hypothetical, pushed Hartmann on his answer, asking him directly if it would be a “violation of the Geneva Convention”:
GRAHAM: You mean you’re not equipped to give a legal opinion as to whether or not Iranian military waterboarding, secret security agents waterboarding downed airmen is a violation of the Geneva Convention?
HARTMANN: I am not prepared to answer that question, Senator.
After Hartmann twice refused to answer, Graham dismissed him in disgust, saying he had “no further questions.” Watch it:

Hartmann’s non-answer is reminiscent of State Department Legal Adviser John Bellinger’s refusal in October to condemn “the use of water boarding on an American national by a foreign intelligence service.”
But not every lawyer who’s worked for the Bush administration has been so hesitant to call waterboarding torture.
In 2004, after then-acting assistant attorney general Daniel Levin had himself waterboarded, he concluded that the interrogation technique “could be illegal torture.” For his efforts, “Levin was forced out of the Justice Department when Alberto Gonzales became Attorney General.”
Sen. Graham, a former military judge advocate, has said before that someone doesn’t “have to have a lot of knowledge about the law to understand this technique violates Geneva Convention Common Article Three.”

The Merck Company Foundation announced today a $2.8 million commitment to establish two new immunization training centers in Uganda and Zambia and to expand the Foundation’s support of two existing centers in Kenya and Mali as part of the Merck Vaccine Network – Africa. The Merck Vaccine Network – Africa, a multi-year philanthropic initiative, supports academic partnerships in the development of sustainable immunization training centers to increase the number of skilled health professionals in Africa. Today’s announcement, when added to the Foundation’s initial commitment of $1.6 million, more than doubles the Foundation’s total commitment to $4.4 million in funding for these four centers.
In other words, when the big pharma “philanthropists” come calling with their “skilled health professionals,” people in Kenya and Mali should grab their kids and head for the hills.
Earlier this month, the Wall Street Journal reported:
New evidence suggests that Merck & Co.’s experimental HIV vaccine may have made its recipients more vulnerable to the deadly AIDS virus — and has prompted researchers to warn participants in other trials that similarly made vaccines for a range of other diseases might also increase their susceptibility to HIV….
The Merck vaccine, which includes only a few synthetic fragments of HIV loaded onto a genetically modified cold virus, called an adenovirus, couldn’t itself infect patients with HIV. Instead, the vaccine might have altered the immune system to facilitate infection. Some researchers are concerned that other vaccines made with the adenovirus could have the same effect.
As Dr. Leonard Horowitz noted in 2005, the UN’s World Health Organization “is rumored to have helped spread AIDS to Africa by way of contaminated hepatitis B and/or polio vaccinations. There is a reasonable amount of evidence to support this contention… the Rockefeller family, foundation, U.N. and WHO remain at the forefront of administering ‘population programs’ designed to reduce world populations to more manageable levels.”

This it should come as a warning to the people Uganda, Zambia, Kenya and Mali when the Merck Company Foundation announces a “philanthropic initiative” to establish “sustainable immunization” in the neighborhood. In effect, Merck is establishing “sustainable” depopulation, as the elite believe Africa—and indeed, America and Europe—are overpopulated and are in need of a Malthusian final solution.

‘The Nation’ Magazine Claims NAFTA Superhighway is a Myth

Many months ago, this writer, Kelly Taylor, and Christopher Hayes, a correspondent for The Nation magazine, met in a downtown Austin café to discuss the NAFTA Superhighway and the Trans-Texas Corridor. Mr. Hayes was in Texas to interview dozens of people involved in the fight over the TTC. For about two hours, Taylor and I explained our role, and by extension, the role of the John Birch Society, to an extremely interested reporter. Kelly Taylor had written several articles for The New American magazine on the international implications of the construction of the Superslab, and I had written one article as well. We provided him ample documentation that the TTC is the Texas section of a planned NAFTA Superhighway meant to be an essential infrastructure project facilitating the eventual union of the United States, Mexico, and Canada into one political, cultural, economic, military, and educational entity to be called “North America.”
Christopher Hayes’ work is now the front cover of the August 27, 2007 issue of The Nation. After expending five paragraphs resembling the truth, he then springs his trap, claiming that efforts to expose the plans for the superslab are nonsense because “There’s no such thing as a NAFTA Superhighway.”
While acknowledging the existence of Kansas City Smart Port, the NASCO Corridor Coalition, the expansion of the Mexican Port of Lazaro Cardenas, the Security and Prosperity Partnership and other smoking guns, he proceeds with his thesis that the Trans-Texas Corridor is real, but the NAFTA Superhighway is a complete fabrication dreamed up by crazy right wing extremist conspiracy nuts. Claiming “Kelly Taylor may represent a certain fringe of the anti-TTC efforts (her name prompted some eye-rolling among other activists),” that Jerome Corsi of WorldNetDaily is a “right wing nationalist ,” and that the John Birch Society is “one of the leading purveyors of the highway myth,” Hayes proceeds to explain his contention that all of the smoking guns proving the planned construction of the NAFTA Superhighway are nothing but flashes in the pan.
The Nation, an old line Eastern Establishment publication whose editor, part owner, and publisher, Katrina vanden Heuvel, is a long time member of the globalist infested Council on Foreign Relations , sent Mr. Hayes to Texas to promote a lie. The CFR has been promoting one world government since its inception in 1921. Too many Americans are waking up to the REALITY and consequences of the NAFTA Superhighway, and the elites are desperately trying to put the cork back on the bottle. CFR members are the movers and shakers pushing for the superslab, and if word keeps spreading, someone might just accuse the CFR of treason. (Chairman Emeritus of the CFR, David Rockefeller, has proudly admitted that he is working against the best interests of the United States in order to form a one world government. See page 405 of his book, Memoirs. )
Exposing the outright lie that is Mr. Hayes’ work could take months, as proof of the planned superslab is abundant as rocks in concrete. For now, I will offer just two examples. First, to claim that the Trans-Texas Corridor is real, and that the NAFTA Superhighway is fiction defies logic and common sense. To believe Mr. Hayes, one would have to believe that the TTC is a highway to nowhere. The four football field wide monstrosity will simply stop at the Rio Grande river to the south, and will not link up with anything across the Red River to the north. No one is denying that the TTC is to be new construction, yet Mr. Hayes would have us believe it is NOT part of a much larger system. Preposterous!
Second, I offer the words of United States Congressman Michael McCaul, from the 10 th District in Texas. In no way can Mr. McCaul be accused of being part of the tin foil hat wearing paranoid crowd. In a letter responding to Kelly Taylor’s letter asking for his support of H. Con. Res. 487, a resolution expressing opposition in Congress to the NAFTA highway and any form of a North American Union, Mr. McCaul, in a letter dated November 20, 2006, writes, “This is an issue of great importance to me BECAUSE THE TRANS TEXAS CORRIDOR IS INTENDED TO BE THE FIRST PART OF THE NAFTA HIGHWAY.” (Emphasis added.)

The Stock Market has again plunged several hundred points in trading in addition to yesterday’s downturn as the markets continue to gyrate. Though economic experts all agree that this spells bad news for the delicate US economy, the Federal Reserve and the central banks seemingly do not believe it to be a significant problem.
Stocks have continued to fall amid ongoing credit concerns. AP reports:
Wall Street skidded further Friday as investors again succumbed to anxiety over tight credit conditions even after the Federal Reserve said it would do all it can to “facilitate the orderly functioning of financial markets.” The Dow Jones industrials came off of their lows after the Fed added a second dose of liquidity to the markets.
The market, which has been gyrating for weeks over fears that credit is drying up, began to pare its losses after the Fed’s latest injection of cash into the banking system Friday. The day’s declines, however, showed the depths of fear that have investors yanking money out of stocks.
The Fed added another $16 billion in liquidity to the market at midmorning Friday, supplementing the $19 billion added earlier in the day.

Confidence has been shaken worldwide and the global economy is in crisis. The Dow Jones has plunged almost 400 points in the last two days on subprime mortgage concerns that are now spilling over into other areas of the residential mortgage market such as the jumbo loan market (borrowers with loans above $417,000) and also mainline standard mortgages which investors are turning away from en masse.
The European Central bank has put in around 200 billion dollars so far to ease concerns, yet the figures continued to spiral downwards. The Federal Reserve was expected to put in double that figure in order to reverse the trend but instead has only injected $19 billion, akin to putting a band aid on a hatchet wound.
The current crisis is an illustration of how artificially inflated the markets are and how much debt has been created by design by the private banks.
The Fed is now being pressured to cut interest rates in an effort to spur credit and expand the cheap credit boom which is driving the stock market. However, this will result in an even further plunge for the dollar which has already been devalued by 40+% over the last few years.
As the dollar goes into free fall and the housing market accelerates in sales yet plunges in price, the quickening of an agenda of economic catastrophe allied to the “solution” of predatory globalism spells potential disaster for the livelihood of all Americans.
Establishment mouthpieces tell viewers to go back to sleep while former World Bank chief economist and nobel prize winner Joseph Stiglitz predicts a global crash – caused by the very predatory globalist policies of the IMF and World Bank that are still presented to us as the solution for economic turmoil.
A global crash and a totally devalued dollar that can barely rival the peso spells disaster for all Americans who wish to maintain their standard of living and not find themselves barefoot on the street in a bread queue.
But fear not, because the very predatory globalism that caused all this calamity in the first place has yet another answer to our prayers! It’s the Amero, the North American currency that will unify the States, Mexico and Canada and its latest cheerleader is influential London investment firm VP Steve Previs.
The Amero would offer a nice umbrella under which to force through the Free Trade Area of the Americas and a North American Union, an eternal dream of the Rockefeller elite clique that is seeking to erect a one world government system by first aping the European Union in creating a single currency and trading bloc, again to the devastation of middle class America but to the delight of transnational corporations who can exploit cheap labor while putting millions of Americans out of a job.
The fed and the plunge protection team are not going to rescue the situation. Gold and silver continue to remain stable and steadily growing assets and we encourage all our readers to build a sizable portfolio in order to offset the coming meltdown that the cavalier and dangerous financial policies of the U.S. government, along with the ceaseless march towards global government, will inevitably engender.
