Video Shows Feds Firing On Ed Brown Supporter

Video Shows Feds Firing On Ed Brown’s Dog Walker Last Summer

Steve Watson
Infowars.net
March 28, 2008

A newly released video has corroborated the account of Danny Riley, a supporter of income tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown, who claimed that he was fired at by US federal agents hiding in the woods outside the Brown’s New Hampshire home last Summer.

Infowars and Prisonplanet extensively covered the events in Plainfield, N.H. last year, where Ed and Elaine Brown remained in their home for months, refusing to face trial and subsequent conviction on charges of non-payment of income taxes.

The couple were arrested peacefully last August, after the long stand off, when agents infiltrated the property posing as supporters.

The new video, shot by the feds on June 7th, shows men in full jungle camouflage gear, lining the approach to the Brown’s driveway as Riley approaches walking their dog.

After recognizing the dog’s awareness of someone in the area, Riley surveys the scene for a few minutes before the camouflaged agents are discovered and reveal themselves.

As Riley turns and runs, one of the agents clearly fires a shot, you can see the long gun and a burst of smoke.

After Riley was caught and tased several times he was arrested and interrogated for several hours. When the authorities let him go he videoed a personal testimony of what had happened and posted it on the internet, despite having been threatened with a lengthy prison sentence should he talk to the media.

Riley stated that after yelling to ask what one man was doing, another man in camouflage popped up in front of Riley and yelled “freeze” after which Riley turned and ran.

“At that point, a round went down range right by my head – I heard it whiz by me – I was screaming at the top of my lungs – don’t shoot me, don’t shoot me I’m unarmed,” Riley said.

It became clear that Riley had averted a planned siege that was only aborted after his disappearance gave the Browns early warning that militarized police and SWAT teams were descending on their home.

U.S. Marshals downplayed the entire incident and denied any kind of siege was being planned. They also denied that any shots had been fired, a claim which now clearly appears to be false.

Read the Prisonplanet report from June 8th.

Watch the newly released video of agents firing at Riley:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvYdjSQdRd4

The video, which was provided to Riley’s legal defense team, was subsequently acquired by Ridley Report and posted to Youtube.

As the commentator states, supporters of the Browns who have viewed the video have pointed out a major issue with the footage.

As the federal agents are discovered by the dog, the footage reverts to a low resolution for the remainder of the video. Supporters have highlighted that this could hide critical details.

Riley is currently standing trial on charges of conspiring with two other men to “help federal fugitives evade capture”, providing weapons and handling explosives. If convicted Riley, along with Jason Gerhard and Cirino Gonzalez, faces years behind bars.

So far the court has been provided emails and heard recordings of Riley and the other men, which the prosecution says prove their intent to acquire weapons and instigate violence at the Brown property.

However, there has been no forensic evidence showing weapons and explosives were handled by any of the men.

The Defense attorneys have argued that the men left the Browns’ house months before federal agents searched the property. The situation escalated in the final months of the standoff, the attorneys said, and not one of the men was there when the weapons were found.

Most of the audio recordings were of various calls to radio shows in which Riley and the others refer to the standoff as “the beginning of the revolution to take the country back from those thieving international bankers” and “the new world order”.

One in particular was a call Riley made regarding an incident after he had returned to the Browns’ home in late July when he reported 30-40 shots being fired in what was a probable attempt at provocation to goad the Browns and their supporters into a violent response.

The trial seems to hinge on proving that the men and the Browns were intent on causing violence. The fact remains, however, that no violent provocation was ever carried out by them or on their behalf. The evidence shows that the same cannot be said of the federal agents involved in the case.

The trial is expected to conclude in around two weeks time.

IRS Auctions Off Ed Brown’s Possessions

Nashua Telegraph
February 8, 2008

An Internal Revenue Service auction of tax evader Elaine Brown’s possessions netted the government nearly $80,000.

A Queens, N.Y., man placed the winning $32,250 bid for a 32.15-ounce bar of Engelhard gold. Peter Rhee intends to give the golden prize to his three grown children as an investment, he said.

The IRS seized the gold bar and other valuables from Brown after she and her husband, Ed Brown, surrendered to federal agents last fall after a standoff in which the couple threatened to use violence if the government invaded their Plainfield property.

Ron Paul doesn’t plan to drop out

‘Message’ candidate doesn’t plan to drop out

Star Telegram
February 6, 2008

Fbiiraqisbein_mn

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul speaks during the West Virginia Republican presidential convention Tuesday in Charleston, W.Va.

One month into the 2008 presidential primaries, Texan Ron Paul has outlasted a half-dozen other GOP hopefuls.

The 72-year-old doctor-turned-politician says he has no plans to quit no matter how everything shakes out today after the Super Tuesday votes are counted.

“There were 11 candidates, and now we’re down to four,” he told a Minnesota crowd this week. “We started low and we keep going.

“If I dropped out, my supporters wouldn’t be happy.”

That’s exactly right, said Jeremy Blosser, a 31-year-old Paul supporter from Arlington.

“We have no intention of going anywhere,” he said.

“Ron Paul has been fighting for our rights and for a constitutional government for over 30 years, and this campaign has spread those ideas to an entire generation. We see no reason to not keep going.

“We are Texans — we don’t run away when the chips are down and the stakes are high.”

Paul may have greater staying power on the campaign trail because his fundraising has been fairly healthy, pulling in more than $28 million since his campaign kicked off, new federal election records show.

He has come in third and fourth in several primaries and took second in Nevada’s primary last month.

To many, he is seen as a “message” candidate — trying to get the word out about his desire to end the war, bring home troops, reduce the size of government and get leaders to more literally follow the Constitution.

“His fundraising has been substantial, and he’s trying to get his message out,” said Bruce Buchanan, a government professor at the University of Texas at Austin who specializes in presidential politics.

“There will come a point when it’s truly down to two and he doesn’t have a percentage to make it into the debates anymore, and then he may fold his tent.

“I don’t think he will until he has to.”

Neither Paul nor spokesman Jesse Benton could be reached for comment Tuesday, as they were campaigning in Super Tuesday states.

But few expect him to go quietly into the night.

“He is certainly the un-cola of Republican candidates,” said Tom Marshall, a political science professor at the University of Texas at Arlington.

“Message candidates don’t drop out as easily or as quickly.”

Ron Paul 2nd In Montana
Ron Paul garnered 24.54% in Montana, 21.16% in North Dakota, and gained respectable percentages and delegates elsewhere.

Nolan Chart
February 6, 2008

While Paul supporters may be tempted to despair as they look over the results of Super Tuesday, there are some gems among the general rubble indicating that not all Americans are asleep in front of their TV sets.

Here are the Montana results:

  • Romney 38.34%
  • Paul 24.54%
  • McCain 21.96%
  • Huckabee 15.03%

Here are the North Dakota results:

  • Romney 35.47%
  • McCain 22.61%
  • Paul 21.16%
  • Huckabee 19.79%

Dr. Paul also achieved respectable percentages in Alaska and Minnesota with 16.41% and 15.25% respectively. In other states he has received or has the prospect of gaining delegates, if not high percentages.

Maybe the folks in some of these states aren’t big TV addicts? My guess would be that Dr. Paul’s results are probably inversely proportional to television addiction on a state by state basis. Anyone have viewership statistics by state?

Ron Paul is in this for the long haul, and as his supporters, we need to stand behind him and fight for our liberty!

Ron Paul Gets A VERY Close Third in Maine

Ron Paul Gets A VERY Close Third in Maine

Andrew Malcolm
LA Times
February 3, 2008

Former Gov. Mitt Romney convincingly won the Maine Republican caucus tonight with about 52% of the vote.

The current GOP front-runner, Arizona Sen. John McCain, is running a distant second with 22% and Rep. Ron Paul, the libertarian-minded longshot, is in a very close third with 19% of the vote. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is trailing badly with only 5%.

With nearly two-thirds of the votes counted, Maine Republican Party Vice Chairman Scott Kauffman said, “It is very sure that former Gov. Romney wins the contest.”

Although Maine does not carry the political clout of many other states, it could provide a helpful psychological boost going into nearly two dozen crucial Super Tuesday contests this week for Romney’s forces, who lost to McCain in Florida, New Hampshire and South Carolina. Nearly half the delegates necessary to win the Republican nomination will be chosen Tuesday.

In a statement tonight, Romney, who was campaigning today in the upper Midwest after attending the funeral of Gordon Hinckley, the president of the Mormon church, in Salt Lake City, said, “Today the people of Maine joined those from across the nation in casting their vote for conservative change in Washington.”

The actual number of Maine delegates he won in the non-binding caucuses will be determined at a state convention in May.

It was a disappointing night for Ron Paul. The campaign of the 72-year-old, 10-term congressman from Texas with the well-financed campaign had hoped to pull an upset in independent-minded Maine. And he did come close to embarrassing McCain for second place, which Paul also won in the Louisiana and Nevada caucuses.

Maine Democrats hold their statewide caucuses next weekend.

Ron Paul Sweeps Northern Maine Caucuses

Fort Fairfield Journal
February 3, 2008

Texas Congressman Dr. Ron Paul scored a stunning upset win over all three of his opponents in the Aroostook County Presidential Preference Survey during the weekend caucuses just concluded. It also would appear that Dr. Paul’s supporters won the lion’s share of the delegate seats to the Maine Republican Convention in early May from the county.

There were 3 undecided voters in Aroostook County with regard to the presidential preference. This vote is a non-binding survey merely intended to indicate Maine Republicans’ preference for President. Delegates were also selected for many towns to the Republican State Convention.

Aroostook County volunteer coordinator of the Ron Paul 2008 effort, and Vice-chairman of the county Republicans, Steve Martin of Amity, had this to say about the upset results. “I love Aroostook County people. They are the most independent-minded and deeply-considerate folks in Maine. It is clear that Dr. Paul’s message of reduced government, lower taxes, personal liberties and non-interference in the internal matters of other nations struck a cord here in Aroostook County. Dr. Paul’s opposition to a Northern Maine National Park coupled with his deep respect for private property and gun rights also played a part in sweeping all three caucus locations.”

The county Republicans will be meeting again for their regular monthly meetings at the Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center on Saturday morning, February 16th at 9:00 AM.

With all Aroostook towns reporting, the results were as follows for Aroostook’s 3 caucus locations:

Fort Kent:
Ron Paul 3
Mitt Romney 2
Mike Huckabee 2
John McCain 1

Houlton:
Ron Paul 16
Mitt Romney 11
Mike Huckabee 8
John McCain 4

Presque Isle:
Ron Paul 29
Mitt Romney 27
John McCain 17
Mike Huckabee 16

Aroostook County totals with percentages:

Ron Paul: 48 votes 34.5%
Mitt Romney 40 votes 28.8%
Mike Huckabee 26 votes 18.7%
John McCain 22 votes 15.8%
Undecided 3 votes 2.1%

Ron Paul scores 1st in Bergen County straw poll

John Holl
The Star-Ledger
February 3, 2008

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZEX0hYOZIg

Ron Paul, the conservative Texas congressman and long-shot presidential hopeful, pulled off a small and symbolic upset in Bergen County today by winning a straw poll leading up to Super Tuesday.

The vote, sponsored by the Bergen County Republican Organization, drew more than 100 people to Hackensack, and included a boisterous contingent of Paul supporters, many from outside Bergen County. They listened to four representatives for the four remaining GOP contenders before casting votes, giving Paul a 52-40 victory over Arizona Sen. John McCain.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney placed third with 27 votes, while former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee got just one vote.

Sen. John Warner (R-Va.) spoke on behalf of McCain (R-Ariz.) and like others, invoked the memory of Ronald Reagan and wore a tie given to him by the former president embroidered with the words “democracy is not a spectator sport.”

He used that as a transition, saying McCain “is a man resolved to do first and foremost what is best for this country no matter the cost to him politically.”

State Sen. Joe Kyrillos (R-Monmouth) stumped for Romney and, echoing a feeling from many of the old Republican guard in the room, said it was time to focus on the two “serious” GOP candidates, McCain and Romney.

However it was the Paul supporters who yelled the loudest, waived the most signs and eventually cast the most ballots.

Harris Calls For Resignations In New Hampshire Recount Fiasco

Harris Calls For Resignations In New Hampshire Recount Fiasco
Vote fraud expert convinced chain of custody is corrupt, says “criminal enterprise” is at work

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
January 29, 2008

Fresh from her confrontations in New Hampshire during which public officials were grilled about slapdash chain of custody and ballot box tampering issues, Bev Harris told the Alex Jones Show that a “criminal enterprise” is running the primary recount and has called for Secretary of State William Gardner to resign and his assistant to be fired.

Harris was fundamental in the vetting and production of the HBO special Hacking Democracy, and has contributed towards bringing charges against vote fraudsters who cheated in Ohio in 2004.

Harris traveled to New Hampshire personally to discover for herself the disgraceful lapses in chain of custody for the memory cards and ballot boxes used in the recent primary.

Harris is featured in the video below asking public officials about slits in ballot boxes as they bizarrely deny that the slits are big enough to allow tampering, amongst a myriad of other disturbing questions about chain of custody. Follow-up questions are frowned upon and one official calls security to have Harris removed.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=hHL_YMBolRs

Following Republican candidate Albert Howard’s attempts to oversee the recount, Harris said “I knew that somebody needed to get to New Hampshire and protect or find out what they’re doing with chain of custody of the ballots….New Hampshire has the memory cards for 81 per cent of its votes counted by this one company – we found there was a convicted felon involved in that….that’s why I wanted to see what the chain of custody was”.

After hooking up with other vote fraud experts, Harris confronted public officials and asked pointed questions about chain of custody.

“The problem was we were either not getting answers or we were getting bizarre answers,” said Harris.

New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner was questioned on the whereabouts of the memory cards that hold electronic records of the votes.

“She kept asking him and ultimately he had to admit he didn’t know where they were, and this is days after the election,” said Harris.

One of the observers followed the ballots back to the vault where they were being stored overnight and noticed slits in the ballot boxes that had not been counted, a complete violation of federal election laws.

“I then came in the next day and asked the assistant Secretary of State David Scanlan – what about that slit in the end of the box?” said Harris, after which Scanlan attempted to dismiss the concern by claiming the slits weren’t big enough to allow tampering (an OJ tries on the glove moment, according to Harris).

One of the observers then proceeded to shame Scanlan by easily sticking her whole hand into the ballot box.

Officials then claimed that a special tape was in place to seal the box, bt as Harris proves in the video, the tape can easily be peeled off and re-applied.

“It’s a post-it note,” said Harris, “You can rip it on and off, on and off.”

Harris then discovered that the ballot boxes were not being transfered from state to state by police as should be the case, but by “Butch and Hoppy,” two truck drivers who raced around the state at high speed endangering people and and employing evasive manoevers to escape from observers who were following them.

“We caught them meeting up with a green jeep in the middle of nowhere half way through their route and we walk up to them and they drive off in a different direction,” said Harris.

“I wanted to see what the ballots looked like when Butch and Hoppy take them off the truck, well sure enough they didn’t have seals on them and some of them weren’t even closed – they had the box top open with big gashes and tears in them,” said Harris, who also revealed how officials left ballots in their offices and did not store them in secure vaults.

“Every way that it could break down it seemed to have broken down,” said Harris, “Even to the extent of just not following procedures”.

“How can you say that you can open someone’s ballot box without them present?” asked Harris.

Based on her experiences with the sham nature of the process, Harris called for the resignation of the Secretary of State Gardener and his assistant David Scanlan.

“I think assistant Secretary of State David Scanlan, who is actually their operations guy, should be dismissed from his position and the Secretary of State should resign, and they need to refund the money for both candidates and recount all those ballots in public,” said Harris.

“What they’re doing here is a criminal enterprise,” she added, “It has all the earmarks of it.”
