In the future, BackScatter and Millimeter-Wave full-body scanners will be obsolete, they will eventually be replaced by radiography scanners that can provide a crisp image of a person’s insides.
There are 3 types of full-body scanners; the millimeter-wave (terahertz non-ionizing radiation), BackScatter (low-level ionizing x-ray) and transmission x-ray (digital radiographic) scanners.
The millimeter-wave scanners are perfect for detecting metal objects but are rather useless when it comes to detecting soft plastics, liquids and chemicals according to Tory MP Ben Wallace who worked on the machines. BackScatter scanners can detect both hard and soft materials but is just as limited in its scope as it can only see through clothing and not under folds of skin. The full-body scanner that has the potential to view all objects beyond folds of skin has to be the radiographic transmission x-ray, these machines are likely to dominate the prison-industrial-complex that is America’s transportation system.

Radiography is very common in the medical practice, you might have used these machines if you ever had to deal with fractured bones or had a mammogram. Digital Radiography Scanners (DRS) have been used worldwide in airports, mining and correctional facilities, however this security technology is relatively new in the United States. The FDA has already approved this technology under the auspices of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) even though they have not yet been used in the U.S. for security reasons.
This technology can detect narcotics, metallic and non-metallic weapons, plastic and liquid explosive devices, chemical and biological materials and components of explosive devices inside and outside the human body. The DRS are marketed under several names such as SecureScan, ConPass and SecurPass.
Radiography and Tomography x-ray machines are very hazardous and potentially deadly as they emit deep penetrating ionizing x-rays, both BackScatter and Millimeter-Wave scanners are child’s play compared to these machines. Researchers find Computed Tomography (CT) scanners will cause 29,000 cancers and kill nearly 15,000 Americans from diagnostic tests done in 2007.
A report in the British medical journal Lancet noted that mammograms (radiography of the breast) were introduced in 1983, the incidence of ductal carcinoma (a form of breast cancer) increased by 328%, of which 200% was due to the use of mammography itself. A Lawrence Berkeley National Lab study demonstrated that breast tissue is extremely susceptible to radiation-induced cancer, ironically mammograms may initiate the very cancers that they may later identify.
Radiation damage is cumulative, each time radiation passes through our bodies, cells become damaged, when cells are unable to repair 100% of the damage then there becomes the problem of tumors and cancer. As Dr. Gofman’s research put it; There is absolutely no safe dose-level of radiation, when human cells and DNA become damaged and mutated by radiation, then there is very little that can be done.
I imagine that there is going to be a huge push for these machines, as the 2010 forecast is likely to be the year of terrorism according to Gerald Celente. The media and other tools are continuing the push for these invasive and potentially deadly machines after a report of a suicide bomber carrying explosives inside his rectum. Abdullah Asieri adopted the new tactic of “carrying explosives in his anal cavity” for the un-successful attack against Saudi prince Mohammed Bin Nayef in September 2009. Asieri was reportedly blown in half by the blast and left Nayef un-injured.
After this incident and the Flight 253 non-event, there will be even more propositions of scanners that can do virtual cavity searches, there’s already chatter on the mainstream media about the need for internal searches of travelers:

Will we be herded on conveyor-belts like luggage where we are x-rayed for the sake of security? Who is the real terrorist, bombarding our bodies with radiation that will likely lead to many early deaths? Unfortunately it is all to easy for the government to use terrorist attacks to crackdown on the American people, lets hope these radiography scanners never see the light of day in any airport in the United States.
One of the leaked climate emails was apparently a press release from “Earth Government” Newsletter dated 27 Mar 2003. U.S. troops’ continental patch proves North American Union agenda

Troops in the United States’ USNORTHCOM ranks appear to have adopted a shoulder patch showing a North American continental design, with an emphasis on United Nations colors, giving evidence of the North American Union ‘conspiracy theory’ plans to merge Canada, Mexico and the U.S. into one super-state.
The patch reveals the continent of North America in the orange and blue colors typical to the U.N.
It also carries the image of a mosque to designate the unit’s service in North Africa in World War II.
The insignia patch is displayed on the 5th Army website, the home of U.S. Army North, USARNORTH, the Joint Force Land Component Command and the Army Service Component Command of USNORTHCOM.
The design of the patch with the U.S. eagle image superimposed seems to imply a hierarchy in which the U.S. 5th Army exerts its military command under the authority of USNORTHCOM, with its domain defined as all North America, including the U.S., Mexico and Canada, for the United Nations, as implied in the orange and blue motif.

In 2007, WND published a six-part exclusive series detailing that USNORTHCOM is a U.S. military combatant command created to respond to national emergencies in North America.
WND also has reported that the U.S. and Canada signed a military agreement Feb. 14 allowing the armed forces from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a domestic civil emergency, even one that does not involve a cross-border crisis.
The USNORTHCOM logo similarly displays a continental design, but without the U.N. colors, as is clear from the emblem displayed in the upper left hand corner of the USNORTHCOM Internet homepage.

WND reported last month the integration of the U.S. with Canada and Mexico, long deemed by many as little more than a fanciful “conspiracy theory,” actually was an idea promoted by the Council on Foreign Relations and sold to President Bush as a means of increasing commerce and business interest throughout North America, according to a top Canadian businessman.
Thomas d’Aquino, CEO and president of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, the Canadian counterpart to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, confirmed in an interview recently published in Canada the accuracy of what WND first reported more than three years ago: The Council on Foreign Relations was the prime mover in establishing the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP.
A close reading of an interview with d’Aquino published by the Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Oct. 4 confirms that the creation of the SPP was not a “conspiracy theory” but a well thought-out North American integration plan launched by the Canadian Council of Chief Executives
and the Council on Foreign Relations in the United States.
The interview further confirmed President Obama wants to continue North American integration under the rebranded North American Leaders Summit, providing the North American Competitiveness Council can be recast to include more environmentalists and union leaders.

Russian Scholar Says US Will Collapse By 2010 – Re-Colonization of America Before 2011

Russian Professor Igor Panarin predicts that the United State will completely collapse due to the faltering economy in 2010 much like the Soviet Union did in 1991, he also warns Barack Obama will order Martial Law during the economic depression that will create total chaos for Americans while the still-standing nations take over the country. According to the professor the states will split into six rump-states before 2011 where Russia, China, European Union, Canada, Japan and Mexico will re-colonize what’s left of the United States.
“In my opinion, the probability of the U.S. ceasing to exist by June, 2010 exceeds 50%. At this point,” warns Panarin, a doctor and professor of Russian Diplomatic Academy Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Panarin also made it clear that President Obama has and will do nothing to stop the coming collapse of the U.S. economy and the U.S. dollar, he says can all begin to unfold as early as November 2009.
“Obama is “the president of hope”, but in a year there won’t be any hope,” said Panarin. “He’s practically another Gorbachev – he likes to talk but hasn’t really managed to do anything. Gorbachev at least had been a secretary of a regional communist party administration, whereas Obama was just a social worker. His mentality is totally different. He’s a nice person and talks nicely – but he’s not a leader and will take America to a crash. When Americans understand that – it will be like a bomb explosion.”
Obama has officially embraced the New World Order at the G20 meeting in New York, stating; “The time has come for the world to move into a new direction” and that the world must “embrace a new era of mutual interests”.
Basically the New World Order is a World Government agenda that will force all nation-states to be in favor of a World Government Dictatorship, under the auspices of the United Nation. The plan is to divide the world into 3 giant Continental Unions, each will have their own individual currency.
The goal is an “Asian-Pacific Union” and the “American Union” both modeled after the already established European Union (EU). The EU has its common currency, the euro, and a European Parliament that can impose laws and the once sovereign nations of Europe and a European Court superior to the highest courts of member states. The EU is effectively a single super-state.
The “American Union” is to evolve from the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, as it extends throughout the Western Hemisphere. The common currency is to be the “amero”. Panarin previously stated that the U.S. dollar would eventually be replaced with “a common Amero currency as a new monetary unit”, referring to the Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
There has been a lot of talk about continental currencies, but there has also been talks about a world ‘super currency’ controlled by the IMF under the control of the United Nations. It remains to be seen and is open for debate what exactly will happen, regardless of the currency choice, national sovereignty will be given up if any of these new currencies are implemented.
A nation’s currency is a symbol of sovereignty, so when things like the euro are created it destroys the sovereignty of all the countries entrapped in the European Union. So the internationalists want to collapse America’s sovereignty because many of them know that if Americans knew of their plans to destroy U.S. sovereignty they would revolt against the United Nations and there would never be a New World Order without the U.S. just like there wouldn’t be a European Union without Ireland. The internationalists members of the Bilderberg group this year have discussed the desire for a short-but-painful depression in the United States that paves the way for their new sustainable economic world order, destroying America’s sovereignty and paving the way for World Dictatorship.
There are so many things that have already been accomplished for the creation of a World Government:
1) The enactment of the Lisbon Treaty that completes the European Union has been finalized, Ireland has voted ‘Yes’ to the treaty just recently and will create a seat for a new EU President (Tony Blair) who will be in control of the entire European continent. 2) The internationalists are planning to destroy the U.S. economy and the U.S. dollar through manipulation, debt and hyperinflation, the Federal Reserve has been successfully devaluing the dollar by printing money out of thin air to counter the effects of the crisis. The Fed’s destruction of the dollar will topple its dominance in the world market as the currency of choice. The recent election victory for Japan’s Democratic Party is another sign that the economic collapse of the dollar is coming, according to Panarin:
“Today I received another confirmation that the collapse of the dollar and the US is inevitable. Japan’s Democratic Party won the election, and I’d like to remind you that its leader [Yukio Hatoyama] has the snubbing of the dollar among his economic plans. In plainer words, he plans to transfer Japan’s monetary reserves from US dollars into another currency. The move will seriously accelerate the dollar’s exchange slump as early as this November. Disintegration will follow shortly,” he said, adding that next year China would also begin to massively dump the dollar and that Russia would begin to sell oil and gas for roubles.
The new Bilderberg-backed Japanese President fully supports the plan for an Asian-Pacific Union that will have its own regional currency like the EU.
Panarin forsees the U.S. breaking up into six large estates by 2011, roughly along the lines of the beginning of North American colonialism where British, French and Spanish settlers were the main countries that fought for Indian land.
Panarin sees all the states of the west including California will be part of China, the entire north including the central states with their large Native American populations will be under the influence of Canada (which is a British Commonwealth Nation), the majority of the eastern states may be taken over by the European Union, the Southern states including New Mexico and Florida will be under the influence of Mexico and Alaska would go to Russia and Hawaii would either go to China or Japan. A new report out of left leaning globalist think tank the Brookings Institute confirms an agenda to re-brand the long running effort to merge the US, Canada and Mexico into a Federal superstate akin to the European Union.
The report was highlighted by author Jerome Corsi, who points out that the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America has become much maligned owing to it’s quasi secretive advancement of a North American integration agenda.
“Two top Washington think-tanks have now formally suggested in writing that the Obama administration should rename the SPP as a public relations ploy to advance the North American integration agenda without drawing so much flak from those of us interested in preserving U.S. sovereignty,” Corsi writes in his Red Alert newsletter.
In the Brookings Institute report, titled “Toward a New Frontier: Improving the U.S.-Canadian Border”, Christopher Sands, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, where he specializes on North American economic integration, suggests the Obama administration should continue the agenda of the SPP, but under a new name.
“Despite evidence that NAFTA has been beneficial on balance to American business, workers, and consumers the argument remains vilified by many as an unwarranted move to embrace globalization.” Sands writes.
“President Obama recognized this on the campaign trail in 2008, when he called for the renegotiation of NAFTA’s provisions to correct flaws in the original agreement. As a result, the Obama administration will most likely rename the SPP.” Sands concludes.
The report also suggests focusing more on the integration of the US and Canada as a priority, before bringing Mexico into the equation.
Sands suggests the following three courses of action:
1. “President Obama should borrow from the lexicon of the European Union and announce that the United States will proceed in negotiations with its two neighbors ‘at two speeds,’ moving ahead more quickly where possible with its developed neighbor Canada, and allowing Mexico to proceed more slowly as necessary.”
2. “The Obama administration is likely to want to ‘press the reset button’ on the SPP, an unpopular though valuable initiative that has improved policy coordination between the United States and its neighbors.”
3. “The SPP must be re-branded to win any kind of consensus support. The Obama administration recognizes this, and could take a few tactical steps to make the SPP (or its eventual successor) work better and win broader support.”
Sands defines his vision of the re-branded SPP as an effort “to build a truly ‘new frontier’ on the northern border,” adding that “President Obama’s community organizing experience suits him well for the task ahead.”
Sands is deeply entrenched in the integration agenda, being a member of the Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section of The North American Competitiveness Council (NACC), organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to consult with U.S. government officials in negotiations under the SPP.
The NACC is essentially an elite advisory board comprised of 30 senior private sector representatives of North American corporations that were selected by the American, Canadian and Mexican governments at the June 2006 trilateral meeting in Cancun, Mexico.
Last year, one month prior to the SPP summit in April, documents were uncovered relating how the NACC was formed as part of a public relations overhaul to counter critics of the SPP.
The documents detailed how, through the NACC, corporate representatives were urged to “humanize” North American integration, promote NAFTA success stories to employees and unions and evolve the harmonization agenda “without fueling protectionism”.
The move was seemingly a response to the continued exposition of the integration agenda, which led to representatives within Congress petitioning the government on the secretiveness of the SPP and multiple states introducing resolutions calling on their federal representatives to halt work on the so called “North American Union”.
Earlier this week we revealed that president Obama is scheduled to attend this year’s SPP meeting in Mexico in August 9-10, slated as the “North American Leader’s Summit”.
“The key to understanding what is going on with the SPP under the Obama administration is the realization that globalists always proceed under a stealth agenda,” Jerome Corsi comments.
“Globalists typically mask their real plans to produce regional governments out of trade agreements by changing names and designing different structures when initial attempts to destroy nation-states are exposed and stalled by citizens who are still patriotic enough to cherish what remains left of their national sovereignty.”

I am pleased to report that last week we received notice that the Texas Department of Transportation will recommend the I-69 Project be developed using existing highway facilities instead of the proposed massive new Trans Texas Corridor/NAFTA Superhighway. According to the Texas Transportation Commissioner, consideration is no longer being given to new corridors and other proposals for a new highway footprint for this project. A major looming threat to property rights and national sovereignty is removed with this encouraging announcement.
Public outcry was cited as the main reason for this decision. I was very impressed to learn that the TxDOT received nearly 28,000 public comments on this matter, and that some 12,000 Texans attended the 47 public hearings held earlier this year. They could not ignore this tsunami of strong public opinion against the proposed plans. I was especially proud of how informed my constituents became on the subject, and how eloquently and respectfully they spoke and conducted themselves, considering how upsetting the plans were for our communities in Texas .
This is a major victory for the people of Texas , and a reminder of what we can accomplish with civic involvement. The informed and active citizen truly is a force to be reckoned with, as we have seen with the defeat of this proposal. We must keep fighting the good fight, and remain ever diligent against the encroachments of big government. We must do this if we wish to maintain our traditional standard of living in this country. As tempting as it may be to simply live our lives with no regard to government, apathy will inevitably be punished by ever more government intrusion. That is what this fight was all about. We can win if we stick together.

In a late-term triumph for US President George W. Bush, the US House of Representatives on Friday approved spy-powers legislation that has drawn heavy fire on civil liberties grounds.
Lawmakers voted 293-129 for a bill that may shield telecommunications firms facing massive lawsuits over their work with Bush’s secret, six-year, warrantless wiretapping program, begun after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The measure now goes to the Senate, where Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid has opposed granting retroactive immunity to companies that cooperated with a program thought to have skirted established surveillance laws.
During often bitter House floor debate, many Democrats broke with the measure, the fruit of months of talks among Senate and House leaders of both parties that ultimately gave in to key White House demands.
“It’s Christmas morning at the White House thanks to this vote,” said Caroline Fredrickson, a top official with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) which has fiercely opposed the legislation.
Earlier, Bush had used a hastily announced public statement at the White House to press lawmakers to approve new funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and pushed hard for House passage of the intelligence bill.
“It’s vital that our intelligence community has the ability to learn who the terrorists are talking to, what they are saying, and what they are planning,” Bush said in the two-minute statement.
The spending bill would provide 162 billion dollars for conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, fuelling both for months after Bush’s successor takes over in January, without attaching a withdrawal timetable sought by Iraq war opponents.
But the bitterest feuding was over the intelligence bill, which came amid a pitched political battle raging over Bush’s decision to secretly launch a warrantless wiretapping program believed to have skirted surveillance law.
Critics charge the secret program was illegal because it ran afoul of the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)’s requirement of a court order to spy on US citizens inside the United States.
The White House says Bush, who brought the program under FISA oversight in January 2007, made proper use of wartime presidential powers under the US Constitution, and that the often-updated law was ill-suited to deal with modern telecommunications and the nature of the terrorist threat.
If passed, the new measure could short-circuit about 40 court challenges targeting major US telecommunications firms that cooperated with the program, which the US public learned about in a December 2005 New York Times article.

In a last-ditch attempt to fix a surveillance bill critics say would essentially legalize President Bush’s warrantless wiretapping program, Sens. Russ Feingold (D-WI) and Chris Dodd (D-CT) have promised to filibuster the bill as long as it offers telecommunications companies retroactive immunity.
“This is a deeply flawed bill, which does nothing more than offer retroactive immunity by another name. We strongly urge our colleagues to reject this so-called ‘compromise’ legislation and oppose any efforts to consider this bill in its current form. We will oppose efforts to end debate on this bill as long as it provides retroactive immunity for the telecommunications companies that may have participated in the President’s warrantless wiretapping program, and as long as it fails to protect the privacy of law-abiding Americans,” the senators said in a joint statement Tuesday.

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama supports the spy bill compromise passed by the House Friday, despite having opposed retroactive amnesty to telecoms that helped with the President’s secret, warrantless wiretapping.
The measure expands the government’s ability to install blanket wiretaps inside domestic communication infrastructure and frees the nation’s phone and internet companies from lawsuits accusing them of massive violations of their customers’ privacy. The Senate is expected to take up and pass the Bush-approved bill next week.
The bill is widely perceived as a victory for the White House, and was agreed to by Democrats out of a fear of being labeled soft on terrorism in the upcoming elections.
Obama’s campaign released the following statement late Friday:
Given the grave threats that we face, our national security agencies must have the capability to gather intelligence and track down terrorists before they strike, while respecting the rule of law and the privacy and civil liberties of the American people. There is also little doubt that the Bush Administration, with the cooperation of major telecommunications companies, has abused that authority and undermined the Constitution by intercepting the communications of innocent Americans without their knowledge or the required court orders.
That is why last year I opposed the so-called Protect America Act, which expanded the surveillance powers of the government without sufficient independent oversight to protect the privacy and civil liberties of innocent Americans. I have also opposed the granting of retroactive immunity to those who were allegedly complicit in acts of illegal spying in the past.
After months of negotiation, the House today passed a compromise that, while far from perfect, is a marked improvement over last year’s Protect America Act.
Under this compromise legislation, an important tool in the fight against terrorism will continue, but the President’s illegal program of warrantless surveillance will be over. It restores FISA and existing criminal wiretap statutes as the exclusive means to conduct surveillance – making it clear that the President cannot circumvent the law and disregard the civil liberties of the American people. It also firmly re-establishes basic judicial oversight over all domestic surveillance in the future. It does, however, grant retroactive immunity, and I will work in the Senate to remove this provision so that we can seek full accountability for past offenses. But this compromise guarantees a thorough review by the Inspectors General of our national security agencies to determine what took place in the past, and ensures that there will be accountability going forward. By demanding oversight and accountability, a grassroots movement of Americans has helped yield a bill that is far better than the Protect America Act.
It is not all that I would want. But given the legitimate threats we face, providing effective intelligence collection tools with appropriate safeguards is too important to delay. So I support the compromise, but do so with a firm pledge that as President, I will carefully monitor the program, review the report by the Inspectors General, and work with the Congress to take any additional steps I deem necessary to protect the lives – and the liberty – of the American people.
Politically, it would be hard for Obama to buck his party’s leadership on this issue, and voting against the bill could anger the intelligence community. The former he needs now and after the election (if he wins). The latter he’ll need to be able to rely on if he does win in the fall.

South American Union To Have Single Currency

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva recently revealed that the South American countries are planning for a common currency as part of the integration of the individual countries into the Union of South American Nations. This integration is patterned after the formation of the European Union, and parallels the plan for the North American Union.
The union of South American nations would create a trade block designed to be competitive with the European and North American trade blocks. Central to the formation of the union is the creation of a central bank to oversee the new common currency that would replace the currencies of the individual countries in the block. In a recent broadcast, President Lula stated that he sees the implementation of this plan as not being a fast one.
In his message, the president stressed the need to help the countries of South America that are economically weak, such as Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia. “We have to help them because the stronger the countries in South America economically are, the more tranquility, peace, democracy, trade, companies, jobs, incomes and development”, he is quoted at ((http://www.nuwireinvestor.com/articles/…) .
Another unfolding feature of the South American Union similar to that of the North American Union is its dependence on newly created infrastructure. The South American alliance will promote the cross-nation construction of railroads, highways, bridges and transmission lines that will connect the entire region resulting in smooth interaction and movement within the trading block. The NAFTA and CAFTA Superhighways epitomize the infrastructural development of the North American Union trading block.
The union plan also calls for a regional defense council, apparently the beginning of the imposition of a regional government. This council would resolve regional conflicts, promote military cooperation and allow for the regional coordination of weapons production, much as the military integration of Canada and the U.S. initiates the unification of governments in the North American Countries.
The plan to establish a new common currency for the Union of South American Nations is the latest development in the initiation of common currencies representative of multi-country trading blocks. The euro was the first trade block currency, established as part of the European Union. The amero is the name of what may be the North American Union’s counterpart to the euro, debuting after economic integration and homogenization of Mexico, the U.S. and Canada have been completed, at exchange rates that represent the lowered standard of living of the Americans and the Canadians.
Critics of the Union of South American Nations’ efforts to establish a common currency see it as playing right into the hands of the world banking cartel. The clustering and assimilation of currencies facilitates the eventual merger into a one world currency promoted by the Council on Foreign Relations and its political puppets. They see the move toward the South American Union with its single currency as easily fitting with the European Union and current efforts to establish the North American Union. Once the formation of these major trading blocks is completed, the next step would be the unification of the blocks into a one world government.
This one world government is sometimes referred to as the New World Order. The Council on Foreign Relations has openly stated that its intentions are to bring about the surrender of the sovereignty of the national independence of the U.S. with the aim of creating a one world government. The Council, referred to as CFR, has influence in all vital areas of American life and around the world. Members have run or are running the major media outlets including NBC, CBS, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and many other publications.
CFR members dominate the political world. U.S. presidents since Franklin Roosevelt have been CFR members, with the exception of Ronald Reagan. CFR members also dominate the academic world, top corporations, unions and the military. They are on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve. Barack Obama and John McCain are CFR members, as well as the Bushes and the Clintons. There are many corporate members of the CFR. CFR plans are not subject to the scrutiny, debate, or vote of the people. Discussion of the plans has been conspicuously absent from the endless debating of the presidential candidates.

A simulation of a North American Parliament, designed to “develop the participants’ sense of belonging to North America” and “and promote the creation of North American academia networks” is currently taking place in Montreal.
100 selected students from universities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico have been selected to take on the roles of Legislators, Journalists and Lobbyists, in the fourth annual Triumvirate of the North American Forum on Integration.
The meeting represents another example of an overarching movement on behalf of globalist business leaders and politicians to merge the three nations of North America into an EU like federation.
Participants at the Triumvirate discuss draft bills on issues such as trade corridors, immigration, NAFTA’s Chapter 11 and renewable energy.
While the meeting is billed as an exercise to debate these areas of policy, there is no simulated opposition to the overall agenda and the documents provided to participants represent little more than essays debunking opponents of NAFTA, attacking traders who do not adhere to a North American union model, presenting methods of control such as the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative which considers biometric RFID cards for border crossings, and promoting the agenda of NAFI itself which it makes clear is to forge North American integration.

The House and Senate have approved a bill that would bar state driver’s license authorities from implementing the federal Real ID regulations.
Governor Pawlenty vetoed an earlier attempt to require that conditions be met before the state could change licenses to meet federal rules. But both chambers passed the bill by veto-proof margins: 50-16 in the Senate and 103-30 in the House.
The Real ID mandate would require every citizen to carry a U.S. government-approved card to board a plane or enter a federal facility.
Critics say it will be costly to implement and that too much of people’s personal information will be added to a national database. Supporters argue that a more secure identification card will help in homeland security and immigration control efforts.

In response to Joseph Reisert’s article about Real ID driver’s licenses: A Real ID driver’s license would be required to enter an airport, board a plane or enter a federal building. If, rather than have a Real ID license, I decide not to enter an airport, board an airplane or enter a federal building, why do I need a Real ID driver’s license to drive a car?
Ah, because an ordinary driver’s license in Corporate America is used to cash checks, which are used to buy groceries and other merchandise and to pay bills for electricity, TV and telephones — in short, checks make up the entire fabric of the corporate state.
If everyone had a Real ID, everything about a citizen could be fed into a database describing the person’s income, purchases, reading habits, job description, medical records. A GPS profile could be made showing where that citizen is on the planet at any given time. A Real ID driver’s license is really a surveillance card.
What Reisert seems to be saying is that to have our military empire, financed by the corporate state, we must give up freedom as a political institution and accept the fact that war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength. Not to mention the tautology that surveillance is security.

Obama Adviser Calls for Troops To Stay in Iraq Through 2010

A key adviser to Senator Obama’s campaign is recommending in a confidential paper that America keep between 60,000 and 80,000 troops in Iraq as of late 2010, a plan at odds with the public pledge of the Illinois senator to withdraw combat forces from Iraq within 16 months of taking office.
The paper, obtained by The New York Sun, was written by Colin Kahl for the center-left Center for a New American Security. In “Stay on Success: A Policy of Conditional Engagement,” Mr. Kahl writes that through negotiations with the Iraqi government “the U.S. should aim to transition to a sustainable over-watch posture (of perhaps 60,000–80,000 forces) by the end of 2010 (although the specific timelines should be the byproduct of negotiations and conditions on the ground).”
Mr. Kahl is the day-to-day coordinator of the Obama campaign’s working group on Iraq. A shorter and less detailed version of this paper appeared on the center’s Web site as a policy brief.
Both Mr. Kahl and a senior Obama campaign adviser reached yesterday said the paper does not represent the campaign’s Iraq position. Nonetheless, the paper could provide clues as to the ultimate size of the residual American force the candidate has said would remain in Iraq after the withdrawal of combat brigades. The campaign has not publicly discussed the size of such a force in the past.
This is not the first time the opinion of an adviser to the Obama campaign has differed with the candidate’s stated Iraq policy. In February, Mr. Obama’s first foreign policy tutor, Samantha Power, told BBC that the senator’s current Iraq plan would likely change based on the advice of military commanders in 2009. She has since resigned her position as a formal adviser.
The political ramifications of the disclosure are yet to be seen. The perception of a harder line in Iraq could help Mr. Obama combat charges by Senator McCain in a general election that Mr. Obama favors a hasty surrender and retreat in Iraq. But it could hurt the Obama campaign with anti-war voters in the Democratic primaries. Mr. Obama’s rival for the Democratic nomination, Senator Clinton, has called for withdrawing troops from Iraq, but an architect of the surge has told the Sun that she has been wary of a precipitous withdrawal. In a situation with some parallels to this one, Mr. Obama suffered some political damage on the trade issue when he called publicly for a renegotiation of NAFTA while a policy adviser reportedly met with Canadian officials and downplayed the chances of a NAFTA retreat. In an interview yesterday, a senior Obama foreign affairs adviser, Susan Rice, said the Iraq working group is not the last word on the campaign’s Iraq policy.
“We have experts and scholars with a range of views and Barack appreciates this range of views. They are in think tanks and like me they write in their own voice, they are people who do their independent scholarship. Barack Obama cannot be held accountable for what we all write,” she said. Ms. Rice said she had not seen the paper, which is marked as a draft and “not for attribution without author’s permission.”
Mr. Kahl yesterday said, “This has absolutely zero to do with the campaign.” He added, “There are elements that are consistent with the Democratic Party’s approach, and I will leave it to others to find out if there are elements that are not.”
Mr. Kahl’s approach would call on the remaining troops in Iraq to play an “over-watch role.” The term is used by Multinational Forces Iraq to describe the long term goal of the coalition force presence in the country, Mr. Kahl said in an interview.
“It refers to the U.S. being out of the lead, largely in a support role. It doesn’t mean the U.S. does not do things like targeted counterterrorism missions or continue to train and advise the Iraqis,” he said. “It would not be 150,000 Americans taking the lead in counterinsurgency.”
Mr. Obama’s policy to date also allows for a residual force for Iraq. In early Iowa debates, the senator would not pledge to remove all soldiers from Iraq, a distinction from his promise to withdraw all combat brigades. Also, Mr. Obama has stipulated that he would be open to having the military train the Iraqi Security Forces if he received guarantees that those forces would not be the shock troops of one side of an Iraqi civil war.
But the Obama campaign has also not said how many troops would make up this residual force. “We have not put a number on that. It depends on the circumstances on the ground,” Ms. Rice said. She added, “It would be worse than folly, it would be dangerous, to put a hard number on the residual forces.”
Mr. Kahl’s paper laid out what he called a “middle way” between unlimited engagement in Iraq and complete and rapid disengagement. The approach is contingent, he said, on the progress and willingness of Iraq’s major confessional parties in reaching political accommodation.
“There is a fundamental difference in the assumption between the Democratic approach and the Bush-McCain approach. That approach is premised on the assumption the Iraqi government wants to reach accommodation and what they need is time. The surge is premised on the notion of creating breathing space,” Mr. Kahl said. He added that his strategy would pressure and entice the Iraqi government to begin political accommodation by not only starting the withdrawal, but also by stating that America had no intention to hold permanent bases in the country.

The thousands of pages of Hillary Clinton’s documents generated while the New York senator was first lady during husband Bill Clinton’s presidency reveal a sort of “Co-President Hillary,” according to the chief of Judicial Watch, the organization that filed a lawsuit to obtain their release.
About 11,000 pages of Mrs. Clinton’s daily schedules were released today by the National Archives and Records Administration, and Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton told Fox News a quick overview revealed some interested activities.
“It looks like she was co-president, involved with Cabinet-level meetings,” he told the network. “She was meeting with Cabinet-level officials on a daily basis.”
He also said it appeared there was inappropriate campaign fundraising going on in the Clinton White House, based on a “short review” of those documents.
“The only reason there were no prosecutions,” he said, “was the Clintons were running the Justice Department.”
He also said it appeared that shortly after Clinton supporter Vincent Foster reportedly committed suicide, Mrs. Clinton had ordered her staff to clean out his office, interfering with what could have been the scene of a crime.
Nearly half – 4,800 – of the pages have parts blacked out, and archivists said that was done to protect the privacy of third parties who were mentioned in Mrs. Clinton’s paperwork.
The Associated Press reported its own review of the documents showed her “tackling health care reform out of the gate, with a meeting three days after her husband’s inauguration and many more as the year went on.” Her plan to create a national health care administration eventually failed.
The AP also noted Mrs. Clinton helped her husband “win congressional approval of the North American Free Trade Agreement,” which she now is criticizing.
Judicial Watch has posted links to the thousands of pages on its website.
“The Clintons have slow-pedaled this process but were unsuccessful in delaying the document release any further,” Fitton said earlier. “However, this does not put an end to Judicial Watch’s pursuit of Hillary’s White House records, including her telephone logs.”

The mainstream press frequently reports that NAFTA trade corridors are a fiction. Meanwhile, work on NAFTA superhighways continues, usually in the open for everyone to see. An example is the CANAMEX corridor. According to the CANAMEX Corridor Coalition:
Since its inception in 1995, the CANAMEX Corridor has grown to become the cornerstone for the seamless and efficient transportation of goods, services, people and information between Canada, Mexico and the United States. As the implementation of NAFTA moves toward fruition, the CANAMEX Corridor will broaden its initiatives to harvest the benefits of increased trade, tourism and economic activity within the region. The CANAMEX Coalition helpfully notes that Congress approved the corridor in the 1995 National Highway Systems Designation Act as a “High Priority Corridor.” The Act is now Public Law 104-59, and it specifies:

(A) In the State of Arizona, the CANAMEX Corridor shall generally follow– (i) I-19 from Nogales to Tucson; (ii) I-10 from Tucson to Phoenix; and (iii) United States Route 93 in the vicinity of Phoenix to the Nevada Border.
(B) In the State of Nevada, the CANAMEX Corridor shall follow– (i) United States Route 93 from the Arizona Border to Las Vegas; and (ii) I-15 from Las Vegas to the Utah Border.
(C) From the Utah Border through Montana to the Canadian Border, the CANAMEX Corridor shall follow I-15.
The latest action taken to move “the implementation of NAFTA … toward fruition” was Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano’s Executive Order 2008-08. The Executive Order specifies:
The task force known as the Governor’s CANAMEX Task Force (“Task Force”) shall be continued and shall serve the purpose of coordinating statewide CANAMEX efforts and coordinating with other applicable states, provinces and nations in the development of the CANAMEX Corridor.

As the news clip shows, Bill Clinton jabbed at 9/11 truthers during yet another confrontation by saying “These people can’t get any publicity on their own, because everybody knows they’re nuts. So, they come to our rallies and interrupt it.”
The man then alerted the audience about Bill’s attendance at Bilderberg meetings.
“America may not be perfect, but we don’t blow up our own buildings– al Qaeda does that,” Clinton told the audience before police escorted the man out (for nothing more than holding up a sign at a rally) and took down his id information.

Journalist acquires memos detailing secretive group’s efforts to counter critics

New documents have been uncovered that reveal how heads of state of the U.S., Mexico and Canada are beseeching business leaders they privately meet with to launch public relations campaigns in order to counter critics of the secretive Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).
The documents detail how corporate representatives have been urged to “humanize” North American integration, promote NAFTA success stories to employees and unions and evolve the harmonization agenda “without fueling protectionism”.
The documentation consists of internal memos from Canada’s Foreign Affairs and Internal Trade ministry, which were obtained by the World Net Daily reporter Jerome Corsi under an Access to Information Act request.
“The text of the undated memo is an internal government summary of the third SPP summit meeting held Aug. 20-21, 2007, in Montebello Quebec,” writes Corsi.
The memo details the SPP’s behind closed doors inaugural meeting with the North American Competitiveness Council (NACC), an advisory Council Comprised of 30 senior private sector representatives of North American corporations that were selected by the American, Canadian and Mexican governments at the June 2006 trilateral meeting in Cancun, Mexico.
The “PR offensive”, as Corsi puts it, is detailed in the several paragraphs of the memo, the author of which and the persons referred to within are unknown.
Excerpts of the memo read:
“Leaders had a successful meeting with the members of the NACC, which had been launched at the leader’s meeting in Cancun in March 2006, to counsel governments on how they might enhance North American competitiveness,”
“He also urged NACC members to assist in confronting and refuting critics of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).”
“In closing, all leaders expressed a desire for the NACC to play a role in articulating publicly the benefits of greater collaboration in North America.”
“Leaders discussed some of the difficulties of the SPP, including the lack of popular support and the failure of the public to understand the competitive challenges confronting North America.”
“Governments are faced with addressing the rapidly evolving competitive environment without fueling protectionism, when industry sectors face radical transformation.”
“In terms of building public support, President Bush suggested engaging the support of those who had benefited from NAFTA and from North American integration (including small business owners) to tell their stories and humanize the impressive results.”
“NACC members should have a role in communicating the merits of North American collaboration, including by engaging their employees and unions.”
The NACC is expected to meet annually with SPP ministers and will engage with senior government officials on an ongoing basis.
The media and the public are not invited to participate in or observe the meetings and the minutes of the meetings are to be kept secret.
The memo highlights how those advancing the North American integration agenda are concerned about the exposure and subsequent public backlash they have encountered recently.
The initial Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement was signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005. It established working groups, under the North American Free Trade Agreement office.
Jerome Corsi brought attention to the SPP two years ago when he obtained SPP documents, under the freedom of information act, showing that a wide range of US administrative law is being re-written in stealth under a program to “integrate” and “harmonize” with administrative law in Mexico and Canada, just as has become commonplace within the EU.
The documents contained references to upwards of 13 working groups within an entire organized infrastructure that has drawn from officials within most areas of administrative government including U.S. departments of State, Homeland Security, Commerce, Treasury, Agriculture, Transportation, Energy, Health and Human Services, and the office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
More recently representatives within Congress have petitioned the government on the secretiveness of the SPP and multiple states have introduced resolutions calling on their federal representatives to halt work on the so called “North American Union”.

Over the past year, Sen. Barack Obama has been a vocal supporter of the Feingold-Reid Iraq legislation that sets a strict timeline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. But when a version of that bill was introduced this past week without a final date for troop removal, the Illinois senator chose not to attach his name to the list of co-sponsors.
Yesterday, Sen. Russ Feingold succeeded for the first time in getting the Senate to begin debating his measure to begin withdrawing troops in 120 days (with exceptions for certain specified missions). Neither of the Democratic presidential candidates was in D.C. to vote in favor of cloture, which allowed the bill to ultimately come to the floor. But only one — Sen. Hillary Clinton — co-sponsored the legislation.
A change in Feingold’s bill — the removal of an end date for troop redeployment in an effort to win wider support — persuaded Obama to not co-sponsor the measure.
“Senator Obama has long said that he would only support Iraq legislation that has an end date for the removal of troops,” an Obama aide told the Huffington Post. As for whether the Senator would ultimately support the bill, the aide said, “it will depend on the final version.”
