No Vaccination, No Health Care For Children

Clinic Policy: No Vaccination, No Health Care For Children

Steve Watson
Infowars.net
October 7, 2009

A Kansas City clinic has set a disturbing precedent by kicking out a two-year old boy because his mother had failed to follow childhood vaccinations schedule guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Priority Care Pediatrics told Angela Andrews to leave their clinic with her son Elijah because of a new immunization policy.

“If we’re not going to get him on the CDC schedule, they’re not going to treat us,” Andrews told KMBC news.

Andrews told the CNN affiliate network that her son was behind on shots because she was concerned that levels of aluminum contained within the vaccines would damage his health.

“I’m not the expert by any means, but I’m the expert when it comes to my son. He was sick a lot when he was younger. He was more susceptible to flu and colds. I just didn’t feel like vaccines were safe until he was hardier,” Andrews said.

Watch a KMBC TV news report on this story:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQu81TlmKJo

The clinic has stated that it will not tolerate non-vaccination because it leaves other children at risk, logic that doesn’t quite add up because if they have been vaccinated they should be protected.

The clinic’s policy sets a dangerous precedent whereby parental choice over whether to vaccinate their children or not becomes irrelevant, given the threat to withdraw healthcare altogether.

Besides certain laws that apply only to government medical specialists – there is no law that enforces the mandatory use of any vaccine in the United States. Waiver forms for personal or religious exemptions are freely available. Enforced medical treatment is an assault and a violation of the 14th amendment.

Concerned parents across the U.S. are leading a nationwide revolt against unnecessary, untested and dangerous vaccines as CDC records show a growing amount of religious exemptions on vaccine forms.

Perhaps as a result of this growing mistrust, some lawmakers seem determined to ignore the Constitution and to make mandatory all vaccinations recommended by the CDC for all children, including infants and toddlers.

More recently, large Pharmaceutical companies, unable to sell the “benefits” of vaccinations to make enough profit out of them, have increasingly turned to state legislatures and attempted to pay off Governors and other officials to curry favor and force young children to take vaccines such as the flu shot and the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

However, big pharma has faced a fierce backlash from concerned parents and religious organizations.

With the advent of the H1N1 “pandemic”, and the media hype surrounding it, it is expected that more and more clinics and schools will begin to institute similar unconstitutional policies to that of Priority Care Pediatrics in Kansas.

8th U.S. Bank Failure This Year

8th U.S. Bank Failure This Year

Reuters
August 1, 2008

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – SunTrust Bank (STINews) has acquired the insured deposits of Florida-based First Priority Bank, the eighth U.S. bank to fail this year as financial institutions grapple with a weak economy and a credit crisis precipitated by falling home prices.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp said on Friday that Florida regulators closed the bank, which had $259 million in assets and $227 million in deposits. The FDIC was named receiver.

The cost of the failure to the federal insurance fund is estimated to be $72 million, the FDIC said.

FDIC warns four US banks over liquidity

Financial Times
August 1, 2008

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation revealed on Friday that it had issued warnings to four small US banks that lacked sufficient reserves to cover potential loan losses.

The cease-and-desist orders issued in June said the four banks needed to raise more capital, expand their loss allowances and better oversee and diversify their loan portfolios. A fifth bank was cited for violating consumer protection laws.

Losses on mortages and other loans have helped bring down eight US banks this year, including one small Florida institution on Friday. Last month, Indymac, a California lender with $32bn in assets, became one of the largest banks to go under in US history. It filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection on Friday.

The banks receiving cease-and-desist orders in June were MetroPacific Bank in Irvine, California; Bank Haven in Haven, Kansas; Clarkston State Bank in Clarkston, Michigan; and Hastings State Bank in Hastings, Nebraska.

Government wants 75% American water fluoridated by 2010

U.S. government wants 75% American water fluoridated by 2010

Reuters
July 11, 2008

Water systems serving about 30 percent of Americans are not giving them fluoridated water, six decades after fluoridation was started as a public health measure to prevent tooth decay, officials said on Thursday.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hails the reduction in dental cavities due to adding fluoride to public water supplies as one of the top 10 public health achievements of the 20th century.

Most Americans get their water from municipal or regional community water systems. A new CDC report showed that as of 2006, 69 percent of people in the United States who get water from these systems received fluoridated water, up from 65 percent in 2000 and 62 percent in 1992.

That means that while 184 million Americans get fluoridated water from community water systems, 82 million do not.

“This is one of the dirty little secrets — that the whole nation has not yet embraced fluoridation of water, which has enormous public health benefits,” Dr. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, said in a telephone interview.

Fluoridation of public water supplies was introduced in 1945 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

“It’s still an under-utilized, very effective public health measure,” Dr. William Bailey of the CDC’s Division of Oral Health, who led the report, said in a telephone interview.

Some major cities still do not fluoridate their water supplies, including: San Diego; Portland, Ore.; Honolulu, Hawaii; and Wichita, Kansas. San Diego has committed to begin fluoridating its water by May 2010.

In California, the most populous of the 50 U.S. states, only 27 percent of people served by community systems were getting fluoridated water as of 2006, the CDC said. Only Hawaii (8 percent) and New Jersey (23 percent) were lower.

Fluoridation has remained controversial among some people. In fact, some opponents in the 1950s denounced it as a communist plot, which was lampooned in director Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 Cold War satire “Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.”

Current opponents argue the fluoride being added to water may cause a health problems such as weak bones and bone cancer, an assertion the CDC rejects.

British soldiers overrun Kansas for training exercise

British soldiers overrun Kansas for training exercise

LJ World
March 10, 2008

Thursday may have seemed like any other day for most in Leavenworth, but for about 180 British officers, an enemy was on the loose threatening civilians.

Tactical forces were moved in, and soldiers took their positions outside schools and churches preparing to isolate the terrorist activity.

While it may have been a fictional enemy in theory, for visiting officers with the United Kingdom’s Intermediate Command and Staff Course who were roaming the streets of Leavenworth, the tactical solutions they used to end the threats were real.

The British soldiers, all recently promoted to major, are visiting Fort Leavenworth for a three-week training course where they will work with their American counterparts on planning operations. Maj. Philip Gill, with the UK force, said that coming to Kansas was a change of scenery that added new challenges and unfamiliar issues when solving problems.

“It makes us have to think completely different about a problem and takes us out of our comfort zone,” Gill said.

The officers are in the midst of working on a nine-month officer-training course in Oxfordshire, England. For the last three years, the UK Command and Staff Course has sent about 200 British soldiers to America for training twice a year.

While here in Kansas, they will be given four scenarios of possible threats to a civilian community and must create a plan for a solution. The officers spent the first few days in the classroom coming up with a plan before moving outside for a walk-through.

“We understand the plan in theory, but we get to see what it looks like on the ground and how that affects what we thought about the plan in isolation,” Gill said.

Already the officers have noticed major differences in America that put snags in many of their plans. For example, Gill said, cities in America are more spread out with lower buildings and grid-like streets.

Maj. Paul Birkett-Wendes, also with the UK force, said his group planned to build a bridge to cross the Missouri River, but when he actually saw it, realized it was much larger than expected.

“Us being here is part of the learning process, which we in turn will spread to the larger army,” he said.

In addition to the lessons on tactical strategy, Gill said he is looking forward to socializing and bonding with American soldiers.

“It’s an opportunity to understand how American armies do their planning process,” he said. “When on operations together in the future, we can interact more easily.”

The UK officers have also been competing against American officers in various sports since arriving. Birkett-Wendes said that was an important part of being an international army.

“It’s all about building relationships,” he said.

NASCO: Ron Paul Is “Confused” About NAFTA Superhighway

NASCO Wrong On Paul’s NAFTA Highway Claims

Lee Rogers
Rogue Government
December 18, 2007

The North America’s SuperCorridor Coalition (NASCO) continues to deceive the American public on the issue of the NAFTA superhighway. In a letter written to the Des Moines Register, NASCO’s executive director, Tiffany Melvin counters a piece written by Congressman Ron Paul published in the Des Moines Register in which the Congressman briefly mentions the NAFTA superhighway. It is a proven fact that the NAFTA superhighway already exists as I-35 but Melvin states that there are no plans for a new NAFTA superhighway. While that is true, that statement is ridiculous considering that NASCO openly admits that the NAFTA superhighway exists as I-35 on their web site. The Alberta government also confirms that I-35 is the NAFTA superhighway on a graphical map of the U.S. and Canada on their infrastructure and transportation web site. Considering the mission of NASCO and other associated groups to expand and improve these highways, this leaves little question that the NAFTA superhighway is I-35 and will be expanded and improved upon in order to form the finalized version of this continental highway system connecting Mexico, U.S. and Canada. Melvin’s argument is the equivalent of arguing against people who say the Statue of Liberty exists by stating that there are no plans to build a new Statue of Liberty. As insane as that sounds, that is the argument Melvin is making.

Ron Paul states the following regarding the NAFTA superhighway in his article.

We should also reclaim our national sovereignty by first securing our borders. By now, many have heard about the proposed “NAFTA Superhighway.” This superhighway would connect Mexico, the United States and Canada, cutting a wide swath through the middle of Texas and through Kansas City. One proposed path takes the superhighway right through Iowa. This superhighway can be built only by sacrificing family farms through eminent domain.

In response Melvin states the following.

Paul states the NAFTA superhighway will cut a wide swath through Iowa. For decades, I-35 has carried international trade with Canada, the United States and Mexico. Since the enactment of NAFTA, people have referred to the existing I-35 with the slogan “NAFTA superhighway” because it is a major north-south artery that moves a substantial amount of international trade.

Recently, there have been rumors of a new NAFTA superhighway – a giant new highway being planned to link the three countries – and North America’s SuperCorridor Coalition Inc.’s promotional map has been used erroneously as proof that a blueprint of the proposed giant highway is, in fact, a reality.

NASCO can state unequivocally that plans for a new giant NAFTA superhighway do not exist. Our map depicts existing transportation infrastructure not drawn to scale, but enlarged for promotional purposes.

Paul is confused and has tied separate initiatives together into a sinister plot to destroy the sovereignty of the United States. NASCO has nothing to do with any of his concerns. NASCO is good for Iowa.

What Melvin doesn’t understand is that nobody is saying that there are plans for a new NAFTA superhighway. The proposal consists of using and expanding I-35 as the NAFTA superhighway. If Paul is confused about this proposed NAFTA superhighway, why is it that information on various North American trade corridors and the NAFTA superhighway is available on various government web sites? Why is it that on NASCO’s web site it states that the NAFTA superhighway already exists as I-35? It is hard to believe that the executive director of NASCO is unfamiliar with what is posted on their web site.

Private organizations like the North American Forum On Integration, CANAMEX as well as different government institutions openly discuss the NAFTA superhighway proposal and other continental superhighways to facilitate the movement of goods between the three nations. Below are links to some of these sites.

North American Forum On Integration’s Page On North American Trade Corridors

CANAMEX Corridor

Alberta Government Outlining the NAFTA superhighway

Trans Texas Corridor

These continental superhighways will be expanded under the guise of eminent domain where many U.S. citizens could risk losing their property in the name of public good. Earlier this year, Australian toll road giant Macquarie agreed to purchase forty local newspapers in Texas and Oklahoma in order to silence critics of NAFTA superhighway expansion. Macquarie has already joined with Spanish company Cintra in a 75-year lease of 157 miles of Indiana highway. This is just a small part of a diabolical plan by traitors within our own government to sell highway infrastructure that is owned by American taxpayers over to foreign investors. These foreign investors will no doubt profit greatly from the tolls they will collect on these roads.

These proposed North American trade corridors including the NAFTA superhighway are foundational building blocks towards the formation of an eventual North American Union. The Security and Prosperity Partnership outlines plans to merge and harmonize policies between all three North American nations that will be overseen by non governmental organizations and unelected bureaucrats.

All of this information makes Melvin’s argument of no new NAFTA superhighway a ridiculous assertion. There already is a NAFTA superhighway and nobody is saying that there are plans for a new NAFTA superhighway. The American people and Dr. Paul are concerned that the control of these roads are being transferred to foreign investors and that people’s property will be seized under eminent domain when these highways are expanded. Melvin’s statements are insulting to the intelligence of any free thinking person and she should stop spreading propaganda and lies in order to hide the true nature of what NASCO is a part of.

Hearing Impaired Man Tased by Police

KBSD
December 4, 2007

Donnell Williams had just gotten out of the bath tub, wearing only a towel around his waist, when he turned the corner to see guns pointing right at him.

“I ain’t never been so scared,” says Williams.

Police forced entry into Williams home while responding to a shooting, but it turned out to be a false call. They had no idea at the time the call wasn’t real and that Williams is hearing impaired. Without his hearing aid he is basically deaf.

“I kept going to my ear yelling that I was scared. I can’t hear! I can’t hear!”

Officers were worried about their own safety because at the time it appeared Williams was refusing to obey their commands to show his hands. That’s when they shot him with a Taser.

Deputy Chief Robert Lee of the Wichita Police Department says, “This one occurred on the worst of calls, that being a shooting. The first few minutes getting control of the scene are very, very important.”

Once the facts were all sorted out, officers repeatedly apologized to Williams. Police wish it never happened, but with the information they had at the time, their choices were limited.

“Do I wish there would have been some way they were notified in advance this gentleman was hearing impaired? I certainly do. No one is happy with the way it worked out,” says Lee.

Williams was not hurt in the incident. Police say the shooting call came from a cell phone but they still don’t know who made it or why.

The case is being reviewed by the department.

The American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007 — Both Conservatives and Liberals Endorse Ron Paul’s Bill to Uphold the Constitution

Larry Greenley
JBS

October 20, 2007

On October 15, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) introduced the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007 “To restore the Constitution’s checks and balances and protections against government abuses as envisioned by the Founding Fathers.”

Follow this link to the original source:American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007

COMMENTARY:

On October 15, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) introduced the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007 (H.R. 3835) “To restore the Constitution’s checks and balances and protections against government abuses as envisioned by the Founding Fathers.”

The issues addressed by this bill are:

  • Military Commissions; Enemy Combatants; Habeas Corpus;
  • Torture or Coerced Confessions;
  • Intelligence Gathering;
  • Presidential Signing Statements;
  • Kidnaping, Detentions, and Torture Abroad;
  • Journalist Exception to Espionage Act; and
  • Use of Secret Evidence to Make Foreign Terrorist Designations.

On March 20, 2007, a group of nationally known conservatives (Bruce Fein, David Keene, Richard Viguerie, and Bob Barr) announced the formation of the American Freedom Agenda (AFA), a campaign to restore governmental checks and balances and civil liberties protections under assault by the Bush administration. The same day, the AFA “outlined a legislative package that would bind the current and all future occupants of the White House, irrespective of party affiliation, to restore congressional oversight, personal civil liberties, and governmental checks and balances….”

At the same meeting AFA unveiled a “Freedom Pledge” based on the principles contained in its legislative package, which it planned to issue to all presidential candidates of both parties to sign. It was also revealed that Rep. Ron Paul, who had already announced his candidacy for president, had already signed the “Freedom Pledge.” Ron Paul–s American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007 closely reflects the AFA–s legislative package.

In the meantime, in July a group with a similar name and purpose was launched by some well-known liberals. The group is called the American Freedom Campaign. Its purpose is surprisingly similar to that of the American Freedom Agenda. Its founders include Wes Boyd, co-founder of Moveon.org; David Fenton, William Haseltine, and Naomi Wolf.

Wolf has already strongly endorsed Ron Paul–s American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007 bill:

There are two new organizations that are driving a grassroots push to restore the rule of law: the American Freedom Agenda was started by leaders who are conservative: Bruce Fein, who was a Reagan administration official in the Department of Justice, and others. The American Freedom Campaign was started by progressives. Both groups advance comparable 10 point legislative agendas that would stabilize democracy long enough for us to forestall the worst and regroup for more long-term reparation of the Constitution and the rule of law…. The big news is that this idea can now become a law and a law creates a reality.

On Monday, Rep. Ron Paul, the outsider Republican presidential candidate who has long upheld these values and who was an early voice warning of the grave danger to all of us of these abuses, introduced the AFA’s legislative package into Congress…. It is the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007, and you should read it in its entirety: just as accounts of the recent abuses send chills down your spine, this beautifully argued document feels historic and has the ring of great power to correct great injustice.

Earlier today the John Birch Society sent out an email alert in support of the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007. The Birch Society has also added “Support the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007” to the action items under its JBS.org Freedom Campaign.

Power Plant Rejected Over CO2

Power Plant Rejected Over CO2

Washington Post

October 19, 2007

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment yesterday became the first government agency in the United States to cite carbon dioxide emissions as the reason for rejecting an air permit for a proposed coal-fired electricity generating plant, saying that the greenhouse gas threatens public health and the environment.

The decision marks a victory for environmental groups that are fighting proposals for new coal-fired plants around the country. It may be the first of a series of similar state actions inspired by a Supreme Court decision in April that asserted that greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide should be considered pollutants under the Clean Air Act.
