Daycare Worker Told She’ll Be Fired For Refusing Mandatory Flu Shot
Paul Joseph Watson

September 22, 2009
A daycare worker employed by Northeast Health in Albany New York was shocked to be told by her boss that she would be fired if she refused to take a seasonal swine flu shot on the spot. Similar stories have been pouring in to us from all over the country as fears that the upcoming H1N1 shot will also be mandatory continue to grow.
The case emphasizes why President Obama’s claim that the swine flu shot will be voluntary is completely deceptive and misleading. Americans across the country, even those not directly connected with health care work, are being ordered to take the mandated seasonal and swine flu shots or lose their jobs.
The story of what happened to the daycare worker, who would like to go by the pseudonym “Clare,” was sent to us by her sister who also provided Clare’s real name and the full name of the facility she is employed with.
Clare works in a daycare center which is affiliated with the local hospital but in a completely separate building. It was reported earlier this month that all hospital workers in the entire region would be forced to take the seasonal flu shot or lose their jobs and that the vaccine would become a condition of employment.
“On the Tuesday morning following the Labor Day weekend (Sept 8th), the director of the daycare of Northeast Health announced to employees on the spot (without a meeting, memo or discussion) that everyone had to go get a flu shot immediately and staff would be rotated so that everyone would be inoculated by the end of the day,” writes Clare’s sister.
“Clare said “I don’t get flu shots” and was told “well then you’ll be fired.”
The director told Clare that the H1N1 shot would also be mandated in the same way when it becomes available. When Clare warned the director that the swine flu shot contained mercury, squalene and other dangerous additives, the director told her that regardless of her objections, if she refused to be vaccinated she would be suspended from November 13th and then formally fired on November 30th.
“Clare asked how she can be fired for something that was not a condition of her employment when she was hired? She was told it was not Northeast Health’s policy, it was the director of the New York State Department of Health who made the shot mandatory,” writes her sister.
Home Health Care Workers in New York Required to Get Vaccinated

Infowars
September 21, 2009
On today’s show, Alex called for hospital workers and others associated with the health care industry to come forward and provide documentation on corporations demanding that employees receive the toxic seasonal flu vaccination or lose their jobs.
Many of you have responded. We are in the process of looking over your documentation and will post this information on Infowars and Prison Planet in the coming days.
In the meantime, as an example of how mandatory vaccinations are spreading, consider the document here issued by HCA, the Home Care Association of New York State.
The memo here, dated August 21, 2009, indicates that all “home health direct care workers, among others, [are] to be vaccinated against influenza as a precondition to employment and on an annual basis.” The directive was issued by the New York State Department of Health.
The New York State Department of Health expects health care employees to receive both the seasonal and the coming H1N1 vaccines.
The CDC has released a hierarchical list of “groups targeted” for vaccination. Pregnant women, “household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age,” healthcare and emergency medical services personnel, and all people from 6 months through 24 years of age are “targeted” for vaccination.
At present, only health care personnel are required to take the toxic shot at risk of losing their employment. “The committee believes that once the demand for the vaccine for these prioritized groups has been made, that programs and providers should begin to vaccinate everyone from the age of 25 through 64 years,” the memo states.
How long before other workers directly in contact with the public will be required by the state and employers to take seasonal and H1N1 vaccinations? Will daycare employees and the counter jockey at the local Quick Pic be required to pony up for their squalene and mercury injection?
We will find out in the next few weeks.

U.S. Climate Bill Seen Increasing Household Energy Cost
Reuters
August 4, 2009
Climate change legislation passed by the U.S. House of Representatives would increase the energy costs of the average family by $142 a year in 2020 and by $583 in 2030, according to the government’s top energy forecasting agency.
The estimate from the U.S. Energy Information Administration is in line with cost impact projections made by the Congressional Budget Office and the Environmental Protection Agency, and contradict claims by energy and business trade groups that consumers would pay thousands of dollars more a year under a government plan to fight global warming.
The EIA’s estimate says gasoline prices would be 23 cents a gallon higher in 2020 and 36 cents more in 2030, according to a copy of the agency’s analysis that was sent to U.S. lawmakers and obtained by Reuters.
Jeremy Symons, who oversees the National Wildlife Federation’s climate change program, said the EIA’s analysis shows that industry claims that efforts to fight global warming would significantly boost energy costs “are completely unfounded and simply scare tactics.”
(even though Obama himself said his climate plan will make energy bills skyrocket!)
The EIA reviewed the impact of the climate change bill at the request of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The agency sent its report to the panel, but has yet to make it public.
The House in June passed legislation to cut U.S. carbon emissions from utilities, manufacturers and others by 17 percent by 2020 and 83 percent by 2050, from 2005 levels.
The lower emission levels would be accomplished through a cap-and-trade system, where a U.S. company would be required to have a pollution permit to emit one ton of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions each year.
Those companies that use cleaner energy and reduce their emissions could sell their permits to companies that pollute more.
The U.S. Senate is expected to unveil its climate change bill in September when lawmakers return from their summer recess.

Military Guard Units Policing RNC Protesters
After violent Labor Day protests in which 286 people were arrested near the Republican convention, law enforcement personnel made a dramatic show of force on Tuesday by deploying military units in more-visible locations around the Xcel Energy Center. A scheduled demonstration to raise awareness of poverty took place but drew no more than 500 people, far fewer than Monday’s anti-war march.
“There may be less criminal action, but we do not expect there to be no criminal action,” St. Paul Police Chief John Harrington said at a press conference on Tuesday morning, emphasizing that the city was prepared to confront any new threats. He hailed the work of the police during Monday’s clashes as well as the raids over the weekend for disrupting the plans of one anarchist group intent on derailing the convention.
Convention-goers and press members arriving at the convention on Tuesday morning were greeted by imposing lines of National Guardsmen at security checkpoints. “The demonstrators who were committing some of these violent acts were really taking a lot of energy and time from the cops,” said Capt. Shannon Purvis of the Minnesota National Guard. “The National Guard was able to give them some relief. They needed a break.”
Some 1,200 National Guard members from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Alaska are here this week to help provide security. The soldiers and airmen — some of whom recently completed tours in Iraq — received extra training in crowd control and dealing with protesters before the convention, Purvis said.
No National Guard members were in sight as marchers gathered in Mears Park on Tuesday afternoon, but bicycle cops lined the block and police on horseback and clad in riot gear waited in the wings. Members of the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign, which organized the march, were determined to make that show of force unnecessary, however, and made a point of separating themselves from the demonstrators who had caused trouble on Monday.
In a speech at the rally, Cheri Honkala, the group’s national organizer, put any anarchists in the crowd on notice that they weren’t welcome to turn an event intended to benefit the poor into an excuse for violence. “I don’t care if you’re dressed all in black,” she yelled through a megaphone. “But if you put my baby in danger, you’re going to be accountable to me.”
Despite the group’s entreaties, a scuffle broke out and a squad of mounted police officers quickly moved to take control. A standoff developed in which young protesters shouted insults at the police; officers maced several people — including at least two who were wearing reflective vests reading “MN Peace Team” — in the face. Three people were eventually arrested, and one young man fell to the ground in an apparent seizure.
The situation was finally defused by the start of the march, which set off about 6 p.m., nearly two hours later than scheduled. Although the marchers had a permit from the city, they made clear their intention to deviate from the approved route to go past the Ramsey County jail, where those arrested on Monday are being held, and to the gates of the Xcel Center. “We’re operating in a nonviolent way, and we expect police to do the same,” said Peter Cooper, a march organizer.
Despite the scattered confrontations, the day was notably calmer than Monday. As of press time, St. Paul police reported that they had arrested 10 people. Meanwhile, many of those booked on Monday on misdemeanor charges were bring released, some within an hour of being processed at the jail, according to Bruce Nestor, a local lawyer and president of the Minnesota chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.

Homeland Security Deports 90,000 Children Without Parents
Latina Lista
August 15, 2008
It goes without saying that the saddest element in the current enforcement of immigration laws is the apprehension, deportation or abandonment of children.
Stories surface every day of parents who were apprehended and fearing the same for their children, say nothing about their children at home. They hope a relative or neighbor will eventually realize their children are alone and will take care of them until they can be reunited.
A Mexican state policeman asks the names of two children who were deported from the United States to Nogales, Sonora.
(Source: La Jornada)
According to a new report released this week in Mexico City by the Population, Border and Migrant Affairs Commission, for every three adults deported from the United States there is one child abandoned and left behind.
But what is even more shocking and deserves further scrutiny from Congress and the American people is the documentation in the report that cites how in the first 7 months of the year the United States has deported 90,000 children to Mexico — children without their parents and who are alone.
The U.S. government has elected to disregard the safety and welfare of these children in the name of immigration enforcement.
The Mexican report revealed that 15 percent or 13,500 of these children, of all ages under 17, find themselves “parked” at the border. With no family and no way to take care of themselves. Some are either taken in by social service and religious agencies or are forced to live on the streets begging and trying with all their might to get back into the United States, or worse, are victimized by human traffickers who sexually exploit them.
The report further revealed that these child deportations are having a huge impact on those sectors of the country experiencing high migration and the Mexican government reveals it’s ill-equipped to keep up with the growing number of children dumped by the U.S. government.
The report’s authors are calling on the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. government to honor children’s rights and to repatriate the children versus deporting them. With repatriation, the children are not left abandoned but are returned into the custody of those responsible to take care of them.
Deportations merely drop them off without ensuring their safety.

4 arrested for attempting citizens arrest on Karl Rove
Iowa Politics
July 25, 2008
Four Iowans were arrested today while attempting to make a Citizens’ Arrest of Karl Rove in Des Moines, Iowa. Citing Iowa Code provisions for making Citizen’s Arrests as well as citing Federal Statute violations they claimed Rove had violated, the four were stopped at the gate of the Wakonda Country Club in Des Moines where Rove was scheduled to speak at a Republican Fundraiser.
The four arrested were retired Methodist minister and Peace and Justice Advocate, Rev. Chet Guinn, 80, as well as three Des Moines Catholic Workers, Edward Bloomer, 61, Kirk Brown, 25, and Mona Shaw, 57. All four were cited for trespassing and released.
The four maintained that they were acting within the guidelines of Iowa Code that obligate private citizens to make such an arrest if they believe a felony has been committed and turn Rove over to police officials to bring Rove before a judge for formal indictment. By law, a federal judge should consider the charges and determine if an indictment should be made.
Brown and Shaw made a similar attempt last March when Rove spoke at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Brown and Shaw were arrested and released without charges following that attempt. Deaths in the Middle East since the March attempt number in the thousands including, 151 more US troops have been killed in Iraq, and 284 killed in Afghanistan as well as far more citizens of those two nations.
Rove remains unindicted and recently refused to cooperate with a Congressional subpoena in the Valerie Plame leak investigation. Despite mounting evidence of Rove’s wrongdoing concerning leading the U.S. to war as well as other actions, Congress and the U.S. judicial system remain reluctant to bring charges against either Rove or the Bush administration. Recent evidence includes Articles of Impeachment that will again be presented by Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich tomorrow. Vincent Bugliosi’s new book “The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder” carefully lays out a case against Bush and his administration for war crimes and felony murder. Bugliosi was prosecutor for the Charles Manson Family murders and author of the book “Helter Skelter,” which dealt with that crime.
To date there have been 4125 US Military deaths in Iraq, 896 in Afghanistan, 66,775 casualties (wounded as well as those removed for other injuries and illnesses), and more than 200,000 Iraqi and Afghani citizens killed and many, many more wounded.

FBI & Homeland Security Behind Indianapolis Martial Law Drills
Daily Newscaster
June 19, 2008
For over two weeks 2,300 Marines have been using the city of Indianapolis and its civilian population as a “simulated urban combat zone” under the direction of FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.
The exercises began on June 4th when Mayor Greg Ballard surrendered 26 sites around the city. The corporate press, Marine spokesmen, and officials with the city of Indianapolis have all been using the same talking points in an attempt to pacify local citizens and moderate any dissent. The official story has been that the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit is here to do pre-deployment training in a realistic urban environment. Col. Mark J. Desens, the unit’s commanding officer, said “Our aim in Indianapolis is to expose our Marines to realistic scenarios and stresses posed by operating in an actual urban community. The city’s new mayor Greg Ballard concurs with the commander saying, “I think it’s very good training for them…actually, city fighting, urban fighting is really the most dangerous type of fighting there is.”
But the cover story has several obvious flaws, as the Marines have a multitude of facilities in which to experience “realistic scenarios.” To begin Camp Lejeune is home of MOUT Military Operations Urban Terrain or urban combat training village, modeled after an Iraqi town. Located in Kuwait is a high tech realistic urban MOUT training facility (watch video) covering 30 acres and costing taxpayers 15 million to build. The FBI in Quantico, VA has an extensive “Hogan’s Alley,” urban combat training center where the Marines could practice for pre – deployment and fire live ammunition.
In fact live fire exercises are the preferred and usually required type of training for units deploying to combat zones, the Army performs this type of training at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk Louisiana. The JRTC offers improved unit readiness by providing a highly realistic, stressful, joint and combined arms training across the full spectrum of conflict, current and future. Perhaps the biggest flaw in the cover story being sold by the controlled press and others is that, “Most of the Marines with the 26th MEU are Iraqi combat veterans.” according to Col. Hill of Camp Lejeune.
While the Marines and their spokesmen are being put front and center for public consumption the “terror drills” they are conducting have been set up by the FBI under TAMACOR. The TAMACOR program is designed to integrate federal and state law enforcement agencies with the USMC. Taken from a Department of Defense memo, “The TAMACOR Program supports the FBI by coordinating regional FBI SWAT training during USMC special operations training on non-DoD facilities.” Under TAMACOR the Marines have been training to perform law enforcement functions since 1992 when the FBI and Marines formalized the agreement with the signing of the initial MOU, Memorandum of Understanding. Civilian authorities and their appointed agents have been using these MOU’s to weaken Posse Comitatus over the years, initially using the War on Drugs as their justification.
We have learned from Major T. A. Smith, Chief Deputy of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office that the Department of Homeland Security is also behind these operations. However when questioned no one from the Department of Homeland Security or the FBI would elaborate on their involvement, referring us back Lt. Patrick, Public Affairs Officer of the 26th MEU.
Compartmentalization and keeping people in the dark about training Marines in a police role seems to be a major objective of these exercises. This is evident in the stream of propaganda coming from civilian authorities and the controlled press these last few weeks. From the Indianapolis Star we are told, “Indianapolis residence hoping to experience a bit of shock and awe.” Mark Casey a local Indianapolis blogger says, “A word to the Indianapolis wise [see if you like martial law you are “wise.”] … when you see that formation of helicopters flying low over your back yard this week, remember that its only a drill!”
According to the Indianapolis Mayor there is really no need to be concerned. “I don’t think it was necessary for any citywide meetings on this,” Ballard said. “The neighborhoods will be well-informed on what’s going on.” Perhaps some meetings would have been beneficial since the owner of one the surrendered sites, Rich Banta was not told about the plans. Banta said, “That it [Eastgate Consumer Mall] is a construction site … I’d hate to see a Ray’s Trash truck run into a helicopter.” When speaking to another city official a little bit of truth slipped out when Debbie Fletcher of the Indianapolis/Marion Country Emergency Management Agency said, “We don’t want anyone thinking that there’s an invasion happening or that we declared martial law or something like that.”
The preponderance of the evidence strongly suggest that the Marines in Indianapolis are being prepared for civilian law enforcement functions in direct violation of Posse Comitatus which prohibits federal troops from exercising state law enforcement police or peace officer powers to maintain “law and order” on non-federal property. I suspect most of the Marines in the 26th are not even aware of their role in this joint law enforcement exercises. Neither the Marines nor Indiana police have been briefed on the significance of the Posse Comitatus Act.
Due to alternative press coverage and public awareness much of what the FBI and DHS had planned for the citizens of Indianapolis has been scaled back or cancelled. Marines did execute a mock terror cell raid on and occupied apartment complex but there is little evidence of the other locations mentioned in earlier press releases being used. Largely Marine training has been restricted to Camp Atterbury and the Raytheon facility on the city’s east side, leaving the Marines biggest public exposure to be at the Indiana State Fairgrounds during a community outreach day.
It is critically important for all readers to understand that it is the military veterans of this nation who are sounding the alarm as rogue elements within our government have decided to Cross the Rubicon misusing the relationship between the public and U. S. Armed Forces to desensitize military and law enforcement personnel and encourage them to accept what was once considered unacceptable. “We’re all part of the national defense mechanism in some way,” Ballard said. “The impact on the city will be very minimal. . . . They just have to trust us that we’re doing the right thing for the city and the nation.”
The ultimate mission of the Marine Corps is to protect and defend The Constitution, not to practice waging war against America.

Black Helicopters Terrorize Denver & Florida
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
June 18, 2008
Those black helicopters that some insist only exist inside the warped minds of tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy kooks are making themselves pretty visible over Denver and Florida today.
With no notification whatsoever and under the pretext of “terrorism training,” choppers are buzzing around Denver and even causing damage to people’s property by flying well below legal altitudes.
At what point does martial law training become martial law? When officials think it’s routine for the military to be swooping around skyscrapers and homes in American cities what’s the difference?
Now NBC reports black helicopters over Florida in preparation for Bush’s visit.
NAPLES: We’re getting a lot of emails and calls from viewers asking about a pack of black military helicopters flying around Southwest Florida.
While the U.S. Secret Service won’t talk much about pre-visit preparations for the President, we can tell you the helicopters are part of the advance team in charge of security for the visit on Friday.

Week Long Military Urban Warfare Drills Hijack Denver Streets in Preparation for Terror
Asking people about the un-marked, black military helicopters in the streets of Downtown Denver we were no longer met with blank stares and scoffs, but with finger pointing and wild eyed expressions of disbelief earlier today.
Special operation forces have been conducting landings, and maneuvers inside the downtown city limits of the mile high city for the past 2 days. According to the (AP) these exercises will be ongoing until Friday.
MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.-based U.S. Special Operations Command spokesman Lt. Steve Ruh says the flights are a culmination of a two-week training exercise that is part of the “war on terror.” One official told KDVR-TV the flights are not security preparations for the Democratic National Convention in August.
These exercises have been conducted at multiple locations throughout the city. Two major staging grounds are a large abandoned rubber factory on the south side of Denver, and also the former Children’s hospital at Downey and 21st street. These facilities have been placed under military control with the blessing of the city according to Lt. Ruh spokesperson for the unnamed branch of the military conducting these ops city wide.
The image of helicopters loading and unloading Special Forces units in Black Hawk helicopters will ultimately prove costly for the city. One night is bad enough in a free Constitutional Republic, but for an additional 2 -3 days the city will undoubtedly be met with harsh criticism from the public.
Admittedly watching the helicopters take off and fly did stir images of American strength and pride, but these quickly vanished when a recent report from journalist Paul Joseph Watson comes to mind revealing soldiers are being asked if they would “kill Americans”. One can’t help but wonder if those soldiers flying over head are the ones that said “Yes”.
That answer quickly came when in an extremely low pass from a MH-6 “Little Bird” with troops hanging off the sides dropped a red glow stick adorned with a military issue U.S. Army patch onto our position atop a parking garage our camera’s had positioned themselves to catch the action. Now whether or not this glow stick meant we just got “fragged” by a drill grenade, or if it was just a friendly gesture by our boys in the military is unknown, but coming with in feet of our position you can rest assured they are deadly accurate from that height.
Socially Engineering The Public For Martial Law
Lee Rogers
Rogue Government
June 18, 2008
The terrorists in the federal government are continuing their push to have a fully functioning martial law apparatus. The city of Denver was recently invaded by a large number of military helicopters without any sort of warning given to the general public. It was originally speculated that this training exercise had something to do with the upcoming Democratic National Convention, but a spokesman with Special Operations said that it wasn’t related and that the exercises would last all week. It is interesting that this spokesman said it had nothing to do with the upcoming DNC. If that’s the case, than what is the real purpose of this exercise? They are selling this exercise as an anti-terror drill, but in reality it has nothing to do with stopping terrorism. The terror war has been proven to be a fraud time and time again so it certainly isn’t about fighting the terrorists. As painful as it is to say, the true purpose of the federal government flying military helicopters around Denver without any sort of notification to the public is part of a plan to socially engineer people to the reality of a militarized police state.
The Denver Daily News reported on this situation and asked why the public wasn’t informed in advance that these military helicopters would be flying around. The article is largely a white wash of the situation, but it is incredible how the local government spins this military exercise as something that will actually benefit the local community. Below is a statement from the local government on this urban warfare exercise.
“The federal agencies sponsoring the ongoing multi-agency training in Denver agreed to make the proper notifications regarding the exercises to prevent surprise and inconvenience to Denver residents. There seems to have been a misunderstanding about the reach and scope of these notifications, and they did not occur in the manner expected by the city.
“Although these exercises are in no way connected to the upcoming Democratic National Convention, Denver officials were well aware that there would be heightened sensitivity to an exercise such as this because of its proximity to the convention..
“Denver recognizes that these are our federal partners, and we are fortunate that they have chosen Denver for their training exercises. Should there ever be an emergency here that would require federal assistance, they will be familiar with our city and how best to navigate it.”
So according to the local government it is good for the federal government to come in without any announcement to the public and conduct week long training exercises with military helicopters flying around. Needless to say, these types of exercises are not good because the terror war is a fraud and there’s no reason to have military helicopters flying around in a heavily populated area under the guise of this false war.
Unfortunately, what is happening in Denver is just part and parcel to other martial law oriented exercises that we’ve seen in recent weeks and months. Just recently, U.S. Marines invaded Indianapolis to conduct martial law training, we have unlawful police checkpoints being setup in Iowa under the guise of protecting people from the flooding, there was also a FEMA camp exercise in Iowa prior to the flooding and finally we have additional reports of black helicopters in Florida. There is no question that these training exercises are simply meant to desensitize the American people to this draconian police state.
It is funny that the stooges in the mainstream press paint anyone who talks about black helicopters as a tinfoil hat wearing nut when there are now mainstream news reports of black helicopters flying around in Denver and in Florida. Mainstream news organizations are not in the business of reporting news, but instead are in the business of ensuring the status quo remains the status quo. Martial law exercises are bad enough, but unannounced martial law exercises are even worse. These types of drills that we are seeing in Denver is yet more proof that the federal government is nothing more than a fascist crime syndicate that wants to enslave the American people.

Government “Strike Teams” Break Into Houses of Flood Victims
Cops break down doors, threaten residents who question them as part of martial law conditioning, authorities prevent people from re-entering their homes

June 18, 2008
Shocking footage out of Cedar Rapids Iowa shows cops and government employee “strike teams” breaking into houses of flood victims and threatening anyone who questions their actions in complete violation of the 4th amendment right that protects against unlawful search and seizure. No warrant, no knock home invasions are being carried out on the flimsy pretext of “checking for structural damage” as cops harass and threaten with arrest people who refuse to have their homes ransacked by thugs in uniforms. Cedar Rapids police chief Greg Graham promised residents over the weekend that “Law enforcement officers are not entering homes,” and that firefighters would only enter homes through unlocked doors and windows yet the video clearly shows locked houses being broken in to.
People who attempt to gain access to their home before it has been “cleared” by authorities are being apprehended, and those who attempt to drive around police checkpoints that have been set up in the affected areas are arrested at gunpoint.
“Each strike team consisted of six or seven people, including police, firefighters, utilities workers, and city employees,” reports the Iowa Gazette.
Angela Tague, a member of the STAR 1 search and rescue team from Ames, ran into any angry homeowner on E Avenue NW.
“He was saying ’Where do you live?’ and ’How would you like it if someone busted your door open?,” Tague said.
Police Officer Josh Bell later had a heated exchange with the man, and told him that if he didn’t go back inside his house and stop harassing the strike team, he would be escorted out of the area.
The man was visibly agitated about his broken door and pointed at Bell.
“It’s wrong,” the man said, over and over.
So people who are uncomfortable with jackbooted thugs breaking down their door without even knocking and express their distaste for it are to blame for “harassing the strike team”?
Respondents to the You Tube clip and the newspaper article expressed their outrage at the behavior of those in the video tasked with “helping” flood-stricken people yet doing nothing more than intimidating and invading their homes.
“You break down the door of my private residence and when I object you threaten to escort me off my own property. Fine example of police work. Did anyone think to knock first? Thomas Jefferson said that the main reason for citizens to be armed was to protect themselves from tyrannical government. If this isn’t tyranny then I don’t know what is. A man’s home is his castle,” states Steve Delaloye.
“A sad day for America when government thugs abuse the trust of the citizenry like this,” writes one.
“So these cops and fire fighters are part time structural engineers, or what?? What are they inspecting for in the structures? Gas and electric could be shut off at the source, and any spills are so diluted they wont catch fire. The police chief said no police would enter any homes, and what do you know, mr fat ass cop goes piling through the window thinking he’s T.J Hooker. Damn, this is just sad, sad , sad,” adds another.
One Iowa resident expresses her anger that authorities will not let her re-enter her home.
“I sit here with tears streaming down my face. I have been trying to be patient and await to enter my home. Now today, I am told there will be no re-entry’s until further notice. I cannot express how ****ing mad I am. I understand the houses can be unsafe. Just let me at least see my house, so that I can assess if it hit my top floor. I have pictures and memories on my top floor of my deceased mother, all I want to do is rescue those,” she writes.
As we reported in 2005, Hurricane Katrina was exploited by the federal government and used as a martial law drill while victims were abused and treated like rats in a laboratory.
Door to door gun confiscations were ordered and cops ransacked homes and took weapons from multi-million dollar homes which were in the high and dry areas and completely unaffected by the hurricane. In some cases, residents were kicked out of their own homes for no reason.
Outrageous footage showed cops seizing handguns from the home of a grief-stricken old women as they assaulted and punched her in the face.
Where does the government think it derives the authority from to break into people’s homes whose lives have already been devastated by massive floods on the flimsiest of pretexts?
The 4th amendment states, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
Even if there was a legitimate reason to inspect homes, why on earth do they not even bother to knock on the door?
Cops immediately attempt to break in or climb through windows uninvited because this procedure is all about sending a message – when a crisis unfolds we are the bosses and you – the peasants – will yield to our tyranny.
Lawsuits need to be filed immediately by people in Iowa and elsewhere who have had cops invade their homes in complete violation of the 4th amendment and a pretext needs to be set that will put a stop to the government’s routine exploitation of natural disasters as an opportunity to impose martial law measures on needy victims that have already had their lives devastated.
With reports indicating that the Mississippi river is in danger of bursting its banks, the precedent that was set with Hurricane Katrina could be set to advance as government minions and jackbooted thugs across the country lick their lips at the prospect of kicking down more doors and harassing innocent people.
Contact the Iowa ACLU and demand they pressure the authorities to stop these illegal home invasions immediately.

Police who apprehended Iowan at checkpoint with guns drawn “acted appropriately,” man charged with assault with a deadly weapon, faces 5 years behind bars

Cops who arrested a man at gunpoint for attempting to re-enter his flood-wrecked home in Cedar Rapids Iowa will not be disciplined and were in fact praised for acting “appropriately” as the man they apprehended was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and faces five years behind bars.
As we reported yesterday, “strike teams” consisting of police, firemen and government employees have been breaking into houses of flood victims and threatening anyone who questions their actions in complete violation of the 4th amendment right that protects against unlawful search and seizure.
No-knock home invasions are being carried out under the flimsy pretext of “checking for structural damage” and residents are being prevented from returning to their own homes whether they want to or not.
Police checkpoints have been set up in the affected areas to block access to streets and homes.
It was at one such checkpoint that Trooper Scott Devereaux and Trooper Paul Gardner were photographed arresting Ricky Blazek, 53, at gunpoint after smashing his window and hauling him out of his pick-up truck.
Blazek had dared to try and return to his home to check the damage without it first being properly inspected by the government’s friendly “strike teams”.
“The Iowa State Patrol said Wednesday that two state troopers were justified in arresting a Cedar Rapids man who tried to run a checkpoint Monday in an effort to return to his flood-damaged home,” reports the Des Moines Register.
“The State Patrol will not conduct an internal affairs investigation of the incident, state officials said.”
For his trouble, Blazek has now been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon on a peace officer, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

Scientific Study Finds Fluoride Horror Stories Factual
Industrial by-product consumed by millions of Americans lowers IQ, causes cancer
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
January 15, 2008
The establishment media will have to find a new tactic with which to ridicule those who oppose the fluoridation of water after a major new Scientific American report concluded that “Scientific attitudes toward fluoridation may be starting to shift” as new evidence emerges of the poison’s link to disorders affecting teeth, bones, the brain and the thyroid gland, as well as lowering IQ.
“Today almost 60 percent of the U.S. population drinks fluoridated water, including residents of 46 of the nation’s 50 largest cities,” reports Scientific American’s Dan Fagin.
Fagin is an award-wining environmental reporter and Director of New York University’s Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program.
“Outside the U.S., fluoridation has spread to Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and a few other countries. Critics of the practice have generally been dismissed as gadflies or zealots by mainstream researchers and public health agencies in those countries as well as the U.S. (In other nations, however, water fluoridation is rare and controversial.)”
Indeed, the zeitgeist for scoffing at those who spoke of the dangers of mass medicating the public against their will with fluoride was the deranged and paranoid character of General Ripper in the hit 1964 Peter Selllers movie Dr. Strangelove.
But that stereotype is quickly fading as serious scientific research uncovers proof that all the horror stories about sodium fluoride told down the decades are essentially true.
The Scientific American study “Concluded that fluoride can subtly alter endocrine function, especially in the thyroid — the gland that produces hormones regulating growth and metabolism.”
The report also notes that “a series of epidemiological studies in China have associated high fluoride exposures with lower IQ.”
“Epidemiological studies and tests on lab animals suggest that high fluoride exposure increases the risk of bone fracture, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly and diabetics,” writes Fagin.
Fagin interviewed Steven Levy, director of the Iowa Fluoride Study which tracked about 700 Iowa children for sixteen years. Nine-year-old “Iowa children who lived in communities where the water was fluoridated were 50 percent more likely to have mild fluorosis… than [nine-year-old] children living in nonfluoridated areas of the state,” writes Fagin.
The study adds to a growing literature of shocking scientific studies proving fluoride’s link with all manner of health defects, even as governments in the west, including recently the UK, make plans to mass medicate the population against their will with this deadly toxin.
In 2005, a study conducted at the Harvard School of Dental Health found that fluoride in tap water directly contributes to causing bone cancer in young boys.
“New American research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma – bone cancer – between the ages of 10 and 19,” according to a London Observer article about the study.
Based on the findings of the study, the respected Environmental Working Group lobbied to have fluoride in tap water be added to the US government’s classified list of substances known or anticipated to cause cancer in humans.
Cancer rates in the U.S. have skyrocketed with one in three people now contracting the disease at some stage in their life.
The link to bone cancer has also been discovered by other scientists, but a controversy ensued after it emerged that Harvard Professor Chester Douglass, who downplayed the connection in his final report, was in fact editor-in-chief of The Colgate Oral Health Report, a quarterly newsletter funded by Colgate-Palmolive Co., which makes fluoridated toothpaste.
An August 2006 Chinese study found that fluoride in drinking water damages children’s liver and kidney functions.

Official Statement from Ron Paul On New Hampshire Recount
Ron Paul
Prison Planet
January 13, 2008
After a careful investigation, I have decided against seeking a recount in New Hampshire. I am confident that not asking for a recount is the right decision.
I carefully considered the arguments for and against a recount before instructing my campaign staff not to pursue it. Without a firm belief that vote fraud had taken place, and without the possibility that a recount would have increased the chances for success of our campaign, a recount would have diverted campaign resources, time, and energy away from crucial battles elsewhere.
We have taken concerns about vote fraud seriously. In Iowa, campaign volunteers carefully monitored the caucuses. Campaign staff placed Paul supporters in every precinct to watch and verify the voting and count. We had supporters phone in results from their precincts to a campaign hotline while others ensured that those numbers were reflected on the official display board at the Polk County Convention Center. The numbers our caucus watchers reported agreed with the official tally, and both results also aligned with the campaign’s internal polling. In relatively pro-Paul counties, our sampling pegged support at 11.5%. This is consistent with an overall 10% finish for the entire state.
In New Hampshire, while I would have hoped for a better result than eight percent, I am convinced that vote fraud played no role in this result. Rumors of vote fraud were investigated, and in the end they proved to be the result of errors in early media reports that were not reflected in the official numbers. In one notable case, when a campaign staff member contacted an individual who had on the evening of January 8 claimed that his vote had not been counted, the person said that he had made a mistake and that the next morning the error in reporting on a newspaper website had been corrected both in the media and — most importantly — in the official tally.
Many have expressed concerns that those ballots counted by machine yielded a 2% lower total than those counted by hand. However, machine counted vote totals were more than 2% lower for both John McCain and Mike Huckabee. Hand counted votes were more likely to be cast in rural areas. Results almost always vary between urban and rural areas.
My campaign staff and I have analyzed the numbers in New Hampshire and I have reached the conclusion that it was the high turnout — not vote fraud or counting errors — that left us with eight percent of the vote. Our total vote count of over 18,000 votes was well within what we projected given the efforts of our extensive statewide get-out-the-vote program, giving me no reason to believe that vote fraud played any role in the results of the Granite State’s primary.
In both Iowa and New Hampshire there is much to be proud of. Taking both states together, I am honored that over 30,000 people cast their vote for me — more than either Rudy Giuliani or Fred Thompson. Unlike many other candidates’ efforts, our campaign for freedom is growing and our message is spreading.
Now is the time to redouble our efforts. Our resources must be spent on the upcoming primaries and caucuses, and on ensuring that, with your help, we organize every state yet to vote with our Precinct Leaders program.
We can’t win primaries and caucuses that have already happened — but we can win those yet to come. To become the Republican presidential nominee, a candidate must have 1,191 delegates. Iowa, Wyoming and New Hampshire determined only 32 delegates, so we have much opportunity remaining.
Today, I ask you to join me in focusing on the battles ahead as we continue our fight for liberty and our Constitution.
Sincerely,
Ron Paul

Congressman gets profanity-laced atta-boy from Sirius shock jock
World Net Daily
January 7, 2008
Sirius satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up to GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul on his program today, saying the maverick congressman is “fantastic.”
“I’ve got to tell you about this guy Ron Paul,” Stern said on his show. “This guy – he’s a Republican – and he says listen, when I become president, I’m taking us out of Iraq, I’m taking us out of everywhere in the world. …
“What good has it done us being in these f—ing Middle Eastern countries?”
Still paraphrasing Paul, Stern said: “I’m not an isolationist. I’m not afraid to use the military where it’s needed. But to sit in these extended f—ing wars, draining the economy – and if we stay or we leave, the same g–d— thing happens: nothing! So let’s leave.”
Continued the radio host: “People love this guy when he talks. He makes sense.”
Near the end of the clip posted on YouTube (caution: explicit language), Stern’s female co-host asked him: “But where are the votes?” Paul came in fifth in the Iowa Caucuses last week, garnering 10 percent of the Republican vote.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B9mfV2tw3Y
Stern’s support for Paul is not surprising given his short-lived run for governor of New York in 1994 as a Libertarian. Paul first ran for president as a Libertarian in 1988 and holds many principles in common with the Libertarian Party.
After multiple controversies over his creative use of language on terrestrial radio, Stern began his Sirius program in 2006, unencumbered by Federal Communication Commission broadcast standards.

Vote Fraud Expert Warns Of New Hampshire Chicanery
Key vulnerabilities of Diebold machine identified within ten minutes by programmer
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
January 8, 2008
“It’s not who votes that counts. It’s who counts the votes.” Joseph Stalin.
Vote fraud expert Bev Harris has warned that New Hampshire’s electronic voting machines are wide open to fraud and that even modestly skilled computer programmers were able to identify key vulnerabilities within ten minutes of assessing them as key Democrat and Republican primaries unfold today.
The contract for programming all of New Hampshire’s Diebold voting machines, which combined will count 81 per cent of the vote today, is owned by LHS Associates, which also holds the contracts for Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
LHS is owned by John Silvestro, who has been at the center of a long-running public dispute in trying to deflect accusations made by hacker Harri Hursti that the machines can easily be rigged.
“The exact same make, model and version hacked in the Black Box Voting project in Leon County is used throughout New Hampshire, where about 45 percent of elections administrators hand count paper ballots at the polling place, with the remaining locations all using the Diebold version 1.94w optical scan machine,” writes Harris.
In this You Tube video, Silvestro constantly interrupts Hursti’s testimony in front of the New Hampshire legislative.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiiaBqwqkXs
After purchasing a Diebold 1.94w machine, a computer repair shop employee picked at random by Black Box Voting was able to zero in on the system’s vulnerable memory card within just ten minutes.
Harris points out that LHS is a private company that will count over four fifths of the New Hampshire vote with no oversight whatsoever.
LHS is not subject to public records requirements, as the government is, at least, not in New Hampshire. The control over memory card contents is absolute; when cards malfunction or get lost, LHS brings the replacements. Since LHS maintains the machines, repairs the machines, and replaces the machines — often on Election Day — when they malfunction, they have intimate access to the chips, sockets, ports, communications devices and other electronic components.
A recent CNN report featured on Lou Dobbs’ show highlights just how easy it is to hack a voting machine and change how votes are tallied with just rudimentary programming skills. Experts warn that it takes only a minute for an unsupervised machine to be inserted with a virus and hacked.

The Huffington Post
January 6, 2007 Finishing a disappointing sixth in the Iowa caucus and staring down a similarly poor result in New Hampshire, Rudy Giuliani has yet another problem on his hand.
The protest coincides with and promotes a new short video by Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films, which uses the testimony of these 9/11 workers to detail the dangerous conditions and serious illnesses encountered at the recovery site.
Still today, many suffer from violent coughs, severe asthma, and pulmonary and mental health issues. Giuliani, the workers note, is not responsible for their sicknesses, but he did not sufficiently warn about the hazards at the site and, more importantly, has done next to nothing to help the thousands who are suffering from recovery-related ailments.
“The hypocrisy of running a campaign on a 9/11 agenda and you have these people still dying and becoming much sicker then they were a year or two years prior is really insulting,” Alex Sanchex, a janitorial worker, says in the film.
Greenwald told the Huffington Post: “These first responders are not blaming Rudy for being sick, they are asking why he has done nothing to help them since they got sick. They want to meet with him and ask what he is going to do to help them. They have tried to call and meet with him. Nothing. He who is Mr. 9.11 has abandoned the real heroes of 9/11.”
More than 2,000 New York City firefighters have been treated for serious respiratory problems following their work at the World Trade Center recovery site. Toxic dust from that area has been directly linked to sarcoidosis, a debilitating disease that FDNY members now develop at five times the rate they had previous to working around the toxins.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P-VUTjM0Ko
Following the Democrats takeover of Congress in 2006, hearings were held to determine what went wrong in exposing these firefighters to such porous conditions. Much blame was laid at the feat of the then-EPA chief Christie Todd Whitman. Subsequently, several investigations have called into question the extent of Giuliani’s knowledge and handling of the hazardous 9/11 site.
According to the New York Times, in the aftermath of 9/11 Giuliani “seized control and largely limited the influence of experienced federal agencies” during the clean up effort, but “never meaningfully enforced federal requirements that those at the site wear respirators.” Moreover, the paper added, Guiliani “warned companies working on the pile that they would face penalties or be fired if work slowed.”
But what has drawn the ire of the recovery workers is not what Giuliani did in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11, but rather how he has seemingly forsaken their plight in favor of focusing on his business and political careers. Giuliani, Greenwald notes, has offered no assistance to other New York elected officials in efforts to lobby the federal government for funds for victim treatment. He won’t even meet with the victims themselves.
“The fact of ignoring those who sacrificed the most while he profits and profiteers from 9/11 is a scandal and is disgusting,” the filmmaker said.
The remarks echoed those made in the film by Mike McCormack, a USAF Auxiliary Civil Air Patrolman: “After he left office, you may have to turn in your key to the city. But I don’t believe turning in your moral compass and responsibility to people who trust you. That shouldn’t fall at the wayside.”
This is the third Giuliani movie made by Greenwald and Brave New Films. The first looked at Giuliani’s decision to put New York’s terrorist response center in the World Trace Center complex – a known and obvious terrorist target. The second focused on Giulaini’s failures to upgrade the faulty radios used by FDNY members on 9/11.

NH GOP Withdraws Support From Fox News Debate
Daily Paul
January 5, 2008
CONCORD – New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen releases the following statement regarding Sunday’s Republican forum on FOX:
“The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field. Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures. Consistent with that tradition, we believe all recognized major candidates should have an equal opportunity to participate in pre-primary debates and forums.
This principle applies to tonight’s debates on ABC as well as Sunday’s planned forum on FOX. The New Hampshire Republican Party believes Congressmen Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter should be included in the FOX forum on Sunday evening. Our mutual efforts to resolve this difference have failed.
While we understand that FOX News continues to move forward it is with regret, the New Hampshire Republican Party hereby withdraws as a partner in this forum.”

Manchester – The New Hampshire Republican Party has quit “with regret” as a co-sponsor of Sunday night’s nationally televised GOP forum on FOX News.
The 8 p.m. event at Saint Anselm College — the last debate before Tuesday’s primary — became controversial when FOX refused to include Ron Paul.
In a press release, state Republican Party chairman Fergus Cullen said on Saturday afternoon, “We believe all recognized major candidates should have an equal opportunity to participate in pre-primary debates and forums. This principle applies to tonight’s debates on ABC as well as Sunday’s planned forum on FOX. The New Hampshire Republican Party believes Congressmen Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter should be included in the FOX forum on Sunday evening. Our mutual efforts to resolve this difference have failed.”
FOX News issued a one-sentence statement this afternoon from its vice president of news, David Rhodes: “We look forward to presenting a substantive forum which will serve as the first program of its kind this election season.”
“The New Hampshire Republican Party did the right thing by pulling its sponsorship,” said Ron Paul 2008 spokesman Jesse Benton, who called FOX’s continued refusal to admit his candidate “unfair.”
Paul is included in tonight’s ABC/Facebook/WMUR debate among top Republican contenders, which begins at 7 p.m.
Paul Doubles Polling Numbers, Third In New Hampshire
Ron Paul has doubled his support in New Hampshire over the past 15 days, according to Rasmussen Reports.
Nolan Chart
December 5, 2008
A daily poll by Rasmussen is showing Ron Paul has doubled his share of the vote in New Hampshire, jumping from 7% up to 14% in just 15 days. Obviously, this is major news. The Rasmussen website was so jammed with Ron Paul supporters earlier today trying to get to it right now that no one can get through. That alone shows the power of the Ron Paul revolution. We’re not talking about a boycott or a bunch of angry activists. We’re just talking about tens of thousands of people trying to view a web page because news has spread like wildfire throughout the net that Ron Paul is now polling in third place in New Hampshire.
While the Rasmussen page remains under seige from all the demand, you can read the actual numbers at pollster.com.

Ron Paul: Fox News Is “Beyond A Joke”
Presidential candidate slams decision to exclude him from forum
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
January 4, 2008
Speaking to The Alex Jones Show today, presidential candidate Ron Paul commented on the controversy surrounding his exclusion from a Fox News January 6th presidential forum by encouraging supporters to keep up the pressure on the network to reverse their decision and slamming the network’s claim of being fair and balanced as “beyond a joke”.
“People are outraged and a lot of them are coming to our defense including the Republican Party up there so we haven’t heard the last word about that yet,” said Paul.
The Congressman identified the main reason for his exclusion as Fox News’ fear that he would express strong anti-war opinions, which they see as a “threat” when coming from the most conservative member of the house.
“They have to realize that what the numbers are and if it’s hurting them, if it’s not in their interests I think they’re in a bind, I don’t think they have any easy way out and they dug themselves into this situation so hopefully they wake up and realize that they have to come around to be much more fair and balanced, it’s gone beyond a joke for them to advertise they’re fair and balanced when they’re just the opposite,” said the Congressman.
Discussing the broader success of the campaign, Paul said, “Everybody’s upbeat and they wanna win but they are also very realistic to know what is the future regardless of what’s gonna happen….how can we keep working this, how can we keep our group together….I think we’ve really opened the eyes of a lot of people so there’s reason to be optimistic,” said Paul.
The Congressman added that the New World Order must be defeated not with weapons but with ideas and that the movement which he is now the figurehead for is much larger than he ever dreamed it would be.
“Most people thought that you’d have to be part of the establishment to get money and support but the supporters have proven that not only will they work hard and go out and do the legwork that is necessary but they’ll also send in the money and they’ll also be very creative,” added Paul.

Ron Paul’s 10% In Iowa Shocks Establishment Media
Even Fox News’ own talking heads think decision to exclude from presidential forum should be reversed
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
January 4, 2008
Ron Paul’s double digit support in Iowa has shocked establishment media figures who have long derided the Congressman as an insignificant candidate with just 2 or 3 per cent of the vote. Even Fox News’ own talking heads now agree that Paul should not be excluded from the upcoming presidential forum as campaign momentum builds.
Dr. Paul blew “national frontrunner” Rudy Giuliani out of the water, who got just 4% of the vote, and is handily placed behind McCain and Thompson heading into New Hampshire.
The Congressman’s strong showing has led to new calls for Fox News to reverse the decision to exclude him from the January 6th presidential forum, not from Ron Paul supporters but from Fox News’ own flagship hosts.
“Should Fox News reconsider?” asked Smith, to which Susteren responded, “I’m not sure why he’s out of it (the forum).”
“Here you have a candidate that 10 per cent of the people caucused in his party really want him and it’s not like he’s an insignificant player,” she added.
“He didn’t just drop in yesterday to the process, he has been running for president for a long time, and certainly many of the issues he’s raised are rather provocative and certainly stimulate the debate, that’s not a bad thing – and why not pull up another chair?” Susteren concluded.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Larry King also noted Paul’s double digit finish during a discussion last night.
“Ron Paul I think is gonna be a factor in New Hampshire on the Republican side much more than he was in Iowa given all the Independents there so let’s not neglect Ron Paul when we’re talking about this,” remarked Blitzer.

Analyzing the Ron Paul Numbers in Iowa
There are a number of reasons to be encouraged by Ron Paul’s showing in Iowa.
Nolan Chart
January 4, 2008
![]() |
The morning after Ron Paul’s stronger-than-expected 10% showing in Iowa was no surprise to Paul supporters (and probably disappointing to some), but it had to come as a bit of a surprise to most of the pollsters. Over the past week, most pollsters had Paul in the 5-8% range. So 10% pushes the limit on “margin of error” and suggests that Paul supporters have been right all along. His support is underrepresented in the polls.
Paul wasn’t the only candidate the pollsters were wrong about. Rudy Giuliani was consistently polling in mid-teen double-digits up until about a week ago, but he ended up at 4%. He had fallen to the 5-8% range within the past few days, but 4% has to be considered a monumental drop for him. Mike Huckabee’s poll numbers were consistently 5 points lower than what he actually got. The other candidates were pretty much in line with what the pollsters thought they would get.
It’s not a surprise that Huckabee picked up extra points the night of the caucus. People love to vote for the likely “winner,” which is probably where his extra 5% comes from, but the Giuliani and Paul numbers should give pollsters pause to reconsider. Essentially, it looks like Giuliani lost the lion’s share of his support to Paul and Huckabee.
CNN entrance polls are even more interesting when you look at them up close.
For instance (and not surprisingly) when asked to rate their feelings about the Bush administration, Paul supporters represented 54% of those said they were “angry” at Bush out of all “angry” voters. These represented only 5% of the overall totals, which is also not surprising given that most Republican activists are Bush supporters, but it’s very helpful in terms of understanding how much pull Paul could have among the overall electorate who tend to hold our current King George in relatively low esteem.
Paul was also the clear winner among Republican caucus goers who view themselves as being “independent” rather than identifying with the Republican party, with 29% of that group’s support (well ahead of Romney at 19%). Independents accounted for 13% of overall Republican caucus goers.
Paul’s support is stronger among lower-income Americans. He tied for third with John McCain with 14% of people making less than $50,000 a year, and scored a high of 18% (second place) among those making $15,000 to $30,000 annually.
He also finished a strong third among young Iowans. Voters in the 18-29 age range picked Paul 21% of the time, just one tick behind Romney who was in second place.
One thing I couldn’t find was any reference to what the results were among cell phone users. We may have to wait awhile before this information comes out, but it would be very interesting to see how much of Paul’s extra support came from voters who have cell phones but not land lines.
The Stages of Ron Paul
Ron Paul’s showing in Iowa is only a phase in a larger picture.
Nolan Chart
January 4, 2007
The Caucus held in Iowa last night is an important stage of the Ron Paul movement and cannot be discounted. Although the Mainstream media will ignore/discredit his numbers, they really do show positive hope for him. Here are 7 stages of his candidacy.
1- The first stage is when he announced he was running. this was about 9 months ago. He had few followers, (I was in this group) and was not taken seriously at all.
2- The second stage is the “few internet spammers” stage. This is when he was accused of having a few 16 year old kids in their moms basement as his supporters.
3- The Internet phenomenon. Online polls started picking up. The meetup groups started forming. It soon became apparent that he was a force online. This soon converted to the straw poll stage. Of course still not taken seriously.
4- The mass fundraising stage. Guy Fawkes says it all. The Boston Tea party showed the world that there is a real revolution going on… Still not taken seriously by MSM.
5- This is the stage we are in now. This is the stage where we find out if internet support can convert to real votes. It appears in Iowa, where Ron Paul did not campaign that much and has views unpopular for farmers had a very well outcome. This is the stage where the rubber meets the road so to speak.
6- The rising star stage. hopefully New Hampshire will propel him into the underdog gone mainstream status.
7- The Viable electable stage. He has the money already. He has a fervent base. He has proven he can bring people to the polls. He just needs the push to get here.
I say this to encourage. I cannot predict the future, but it seems like it could be well with him. Even when the MSM is gloom and doom, it is only spin, and might not be consistant with reality.

Ron Paul Will Finish 3rd in Iowa
Nolan Chart
January 2, 2008
Zogby currently shows Ron Paul tied with Giuliani and Thompson at 8%, and 3 points behind McCain in Iowa, among likely Republican caucus voters.
Another Zogby poll in November showed that Independents and Democrats represent 60% of Paul’s support nationwide. From the last paragraph of Zogby’s press release:
“Paul was the big winner among that universe of voters, winning 33%, compared to 19% for Giuliani, 15% for Romney, and 13% for Thompson.”
If this poll is at all reflective of Paul’s true support, and holds true in Iowa, then his real polling number in Iowa is closer to 20%, which would give him at least a 3rd place finish.
After that, all the rules may change.
Ron Paul Running Third in New Hampshire According to Oddsmakers
Gambling911
January 1, 2008
He may have been excluded from participating in an upcoming Fox News New Hampshire debate, but that hasn’t stopped the betting market from overwhelmingly giving US Presidential hopeful Ron Paul a third place finish in the “Live Free or Die” state, well ahead of both Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani.
The oddsmakers at BetUS.com had Ron Paul listed with +1000 odds to win New Hampshire one week before the primary. Compare that with Mitt Romney as the slight -120 favorite and John McCain at even odds. For those of you unfamiliar with how to read the American betting odds displayed at BetUS, +1000 simply means that a $100 bet would pay out $1000 or a $1 bet would pay out $10.
Political prediction markets provide us — the consumers of this information — with a way to cut through this clutter.
A prediction market is a bit like the stock market, except that you are buying shares whose value depends on the success of a political candidate, rather than the profits earned by a corporation. And just as stock prices are a useful barometer of the health of a company, so too the price of a prediction contract is a barometer of the health of a political campaign.
A third place finish in New Hampshire would be something that Ron Paul supporters savor since it solidifies their candidate’s true popularity in the race while putting to rest once and for all the idea that Paul’s supporters are nothing but Internet bots that just happen to be able to raise nearly $20 million in a single quarter.
Gambling911.com reporter, Jennifer Reynolds, believes that if Ron Paul is not seen as a viable candidate, people will simply vote for the individual they believe can win (i.e. a Mitt Romney or a Rudy Giuliani), even though they have a preference for the long time Texas Congressman.
“I have never subscribed to the ‘who is most popular’ method of picking a candidate, I prefer to choose based on substance, but there are many who still believe that it is wasting a vote to vote for the man you want to win if you think he could lose and instead choose a lesser candidate with more of a chance.”
A third place or higher finish in New Hampshire would instill confidence in voters that Ron Paul does indeed have a fighting chance.
Christopher Costigan, Publisher of the Gambling911.com website, points out that this information will have many a Ron Paul supporter extremely delighted in the face of his exclusion by Fox News.
“We have gotten so many emails related to an organized boycott of Fox News and it’s obvious the new year got off to a bad start for Ron Paul supporters with the news about his exclusion,” Costigan said. “As we get closer to a particular race like the New Hampshire primary, these odds tend to become more accurate and there is some suggestion that the Fox ‘controversy, which CNN is starting to capitalize on, will only help to increase his chances of a win in New Hampshire.”

Tim Russert predicts Paul could beat Giuliani in Iowa
Raw Story
January 2, 2008
Republican presidential contender Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) could be poised to beat Rudy Giuliani — once perceived as a frontrunner for the GOP nomination — in Thursday’s Iowa caucus voting, according to NBC’s Tim Russert.
Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe program for a discussion about the latest Iowa polling numbers, Russert said Paul could realistically score a fourth place showing in the state.
“Having gone around and watching this thing,” said Russert, “to say for example Huckabee wins, Romney is two. McCain comes in third. Thompson is out — he has already said if he’s not two, he’s out. I think Ron Paul has a chance of coming in fourth here. I really do.”
Assuming former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-TN) took fifth, Russert added that it appeared likely Giuliani could slip to a lowly sixth place finish.
Conservative pundit and two-time Republican presidential aspirant Pat Buchanan said he believed the former New York mayor was now facing an uphill fight for his party’s nomination.
“I think Rudy is toast…I mean, you can’t go 0-4, 0-5, and come back and win Florida,” said Buchanan of the possibility that Giuliani could fair poorly in the opening contests of the primary season.
Giuliani has not campaigned heavily in Iowa, choosing instead to adopt a national strategy focused on other states, such as Florida, that vote later in the primary process. More than twenty states, including New York and California go to the polls on February 5.
“When you get to Florida and the February 5th states,” Giuliani told Fox News, “we’re ahead in some cases by large percentages and in some case by closer percentages. We believe it’s a good strategy and it’s going to work.”
The latest poll from Iowa’s Des Moines Register tallies Giuliani’s support in the state at five percent. Paul and Thompson each notch nine percent.

Ron Paul Plans New Event After Fox Debate Exclusion
Politico
January 1, 2008
Ron Paul’s campaign says he’s planning an alternative event at the same time as the Fox News Channel’s Republican forum in New Hampshire on Sunday if the network continues to hold back on an invitation, a campaign official tells Politico.
Already, blogs are alive with cries of “censorship” from Paul’s vocal and prolific followers.
Jesse Benton, Paul’s national press secretary, said he likely would hold a town hall with New Hampshire citizens — an event that would amount to counter-programming and would likely generate considerable publicity for the anti-war libertarian.
“We’re not going to sit around and cry about it,” Benton said.
“By all metrics, there is only a case for including Dr. Paul in the forum. We think it’s a little bit of a head-scratcher.”
Paul announced he raised $19.5 million in the last quarter of the year, and party sources say that is more than any other Republican campaign.
Fox News has not specified its exact criteria for the debate, but debate planners have long yearned to winnow the cast to permit more substantive and detailed conversation.
Fox has said it will make its final announcement about invitations after Thursday’s Iowa caucuses.
Benton said the campaign has placed about six calls to Marty Ryan, executive producer of political programming for Fox News Channel but said they have not been returned.
Ryan did not immediately return an e-mail seeking comment on New Year’s Day.
Paul will participate in an ABC debate in New Hampshire on Saturday night, Benton said.

Ron Paul Raises Near $20 Million In Quarter
Ron Paul 2008
January 1, 2008
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA –Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s presidential campaign had a record fundraising quarter, exceeding its original goal of $12 million by over 50 percent when it raised nearly $20 million during the months of October, November and December.
“Only Dr. Paul has the ability to inspire Americans to contribute and take action that is necessary if Republicans want to defeat the Democrats in November,” said campaign chairman Kent Snyder.
In two 24-hour periods on November 5 and December 16, the campaign raised over $10 million dollars. The total of over $19.5 million represents an increase of nearly 300 percent from its third quarter total of $5.28 million.
For the quarter, the campaign had over 130,000 donors, including over 107,000 new donors. The total was reached with an average donation size that was just under $90.
Of the other Republican candidates, only Mike Huckabee – who reported $5.04 million this quarter – discloses his fundraising total online. However, Dr. Paul’s total is over $9 million more than any Republican candidate raised in the third quarter.

ABC, Fox News cutting Ron Paul out of New Hampshire primary debate

ABC and Fox News Channel are narrowing the field of presidential candidates invited to debates on January 6, 2008, in Fox’s case infuriating supporters of Republican Ron Paul.
The participants for ABC’s back-to-back, prime-time Republican and Democratic debates Saturday in New Hampshire will be determined after results of Thursday’s Iowa caucus become clear.
Fox has invited five GOP candidates to a forum with Chris Wallace in New Hampshire on Sunday. Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson received invites, leaving Paul and Duncan Hunter on the sidelines.
The network said it had limited space in its studio – a souped-up bus – and that it invited candidates polling in the double digits.
Some livid Paul supporters are distributing e-mails calling for a boycott of Fox advertisers. A Fox representative did not return calls for comment.
To participate in ABC’s debates, candidates must meet at least one of three benchmarks: place first through fourth in Iowa, poll 5 percent or higher in one of the last four major New Hampshire surveys, or poll 5 percent or higher in one of the last four major national surveys.
ABC News anchor Charles Gibson is moderating both debates, each 90 minutes long.

New Year’s Eve Money Bomb
Ron Paul campaign sends out plea for more money. And it may just get it.
Nolan Chart
December 30, 2007
Being a previous Ron Paul donor, I’m on his email list. I received an email yesterday (12/29/07) with the subject “The time is now.” It’s also displayed on the campaign website here.
I have to give Kent Snyder praise for creativity. He’s come up with a plan to spend $23 million dollars, in addition to what’s in the bank so far. That’s more coin than I have in my couch. But there are a lot of couches out there.
The email talks about the contests of Iowa and New Hampshire in the first few days of January, followed by Wyoming, Michigan, Nevada, South Carolina, Florida and Maine.
Feb. 5 will have nearly 20 other states. In the email, the money will be used “to run radio and television ads in 20 states simultaneously”, voter mailings, and other projects.
The email urges supporters to “triple” their efforts.
A few months ago, the Ron Paul campaign was thankful for getting $5 million for the third quarter. Everyone was amazed by the $4 million raised on November 5th and $6 million raised on December 16th. The fourth quarter will probably finish close to $20 million. I expect there will a slight end of year push Monday.
I can send another couple hundred dollars, but I’m getting to my limit. Another $23 million in one month will be a stretch, but not impossible. For the month of January (31 days), that’s about $742,000 per day. I made that same sort of calculation in October when the campaign asked for $12 million in three months. They got way more than that–by nearly $7 million! I think there will have to be some thermonuclear money bombs, something like in Dune. The Nov. 5 and Dec. 16 money bombs made up for the slow start in October. There would have to be four of those $6 million days to reach the $23 million goal. That’s a lot to ask. But it may happen.
If this race goes much beyond Feb. 5, it will become a war of attrition. Romney and Giuliani have the cash to keep going, but they’re the only ones. Romney is polling well in Iowa and New Hampshire, so I believe he will finish in the top three in both. Giuliani is putting his eggs in the Feb. 5 basket, because it doesn’t look like he will get a state until Nevada, or maybe Florida. If it’s a close race, perhaps the top three will be able to rally the troops one last time. It’ll be a slugfest in every neglected state through the summer. And that will take more money.
Iowa and New Hampshire will affect the fundraising of those candidates remaining. After Michigan (Jan. 15), I bet this will be a four-man race. No matter who I say will stay or go, I’ll get a stream of hate comments below. The names don’t matter. May the best man win!
On the one hand, I’m thankful the campaign is putting out there the need and being open what it will spend it on. But on the other, the “we” have been the grassroots support, not the central campaign. Even if only $10 million or $5 million are raised in January, I’m sure the campaign will put it to good use. Regardless, it will be greater than any of the other Republicans. They will be crying with their pollsters.
I’ve been reading Sun Tzu lately. The best way to win wars is to fight them quickly with overwhelming force. The chieftains across the internet are making their calculations and the warriors are provisioning sufficiently before battle commences. That’s if they can stop playing World of Warcraft for a day, and start overturning cushions.
I don’t know when those money bombs will start dropping. I can see the third Monday in January (this year Jan. 21), Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, as one battle day. Dr. Paul’s non-violence message would fit nicely then. I’m sure Mr. Lyman has an event or two in mind.

NASCO Wrong On Paul’s NAFTA Highway Claims
Lee Rogers
Rogue Government
December 18, 2007
The North America’s SuperCorridor Coalition (NASCO) continues to deceive the American public on the issue of the NAFTA superhighway. In a letter written to the Des Moines Register, NASCO’s executive director, Tiffany Melvin counters a piece written by Congressman Ron Paul published in the Des Moines Register in which the Congressman briefly mentions the NAFTA superhighway. It is a proven fact that the NAFTA superhighway already exists as I-35 but Melvin states that there are no plans for a new NAFTA superhighway. While that is true, that statement is ridiculous considering that NASCO openly admits that the NAFTA superhighway exists as I-35 on their web site. The Alberta government also confirms that I-35 is the NAFTA superhighway on a graphical map of the U.S. and Canada on their infrastructure and transportation web site. Considering the mission of NASCO and other associated groups to expand and improve these highways, this leaves little question that the NAFTA superhighway is I-35 and will be expanded and improved upon in order to form the finalized version of this continental highway system connecting Mexico, U.S. and Canada. Melvin’s argument is the equivalent of arguing against people who say the Statue of Liberty exists by stating that there are no plans to build a new Statue of Liberty. As insane as that sounds, that is the argument Melvin is making.
Ron Paul states the following regarding the NAFTA superhighway in his article.
We should also reclaim our national sovereignty by first securing our borders. By now, many have heard about the proposed “NAFTA Superhighway.” This superhighway would connect Mexico, the United States and Canada, cutting a wide swath through the middle of Texas and through Kansas City. One proposed path takes the superhighway right through Iowa. This superhighway can be built only by sacrificing family farms through eminent domain.
In response Melvin states the following.
Paul states the NAFTA superhighway will cut a wide swath through Iowa. For decades, I-35 has carried international trade with Canada, the United States and Mexico. Since the enactment of NAFTA, people have referred to the existing I-35 with the slogan “NAFTA superhighway” because it is a major north-south artery that moves a substantial amount of international trade.
Recently, there have been rumors of a new NAFTA superhighway – a giant new highway being planned to link the three countries – and North America’s SuperCorridor Coalition Inc.’s promotional map has been used erroneously as proof that a blueprint of the proposed giant highway is, in fact, a reality.
NASCO can state unequivocally that plans for a new giant NAFTA superhighway do not exist. Our map depicts existing transportation infrastructure not drawn to scale, but enlarged for promotional purposes.
Paul is confused and has tied separate initiatives together into a sinister plot to destroy the sovereignty of the United States. NASCO has nothing to do with any of his concerns. NASCO is good for Iowa.
What Melvin doesn’t understand is that nobody is saying that there are plans for a new NAFTA superhighway. The proposal consists of using and expanding I-35 as the NAFTA superhighway. If Paul is confused about this proposed NAFTA superhighway, why is it that information on various North American trade corridors and the NAFTA superhighway is available on various government web sites? Why is it that on NASCO’s web site it states that the NAFTA superhighway already exists as I-35? It is hard to believe that the executive director of NASCO is unfamiliar with what is posted on their web site.
Private organizations like the North American Forum On Integration, CANAMEX as well as different government institutions openly discuss the NAFTA superhighway proposal and other continental superhighways to facilitate the movement of goods between the three nations. Below are links to some of these sites.
North American Forum On Integration’s Page On North American Trade Corridors
Alberta Government Outlining the NAFTA superhighway
These continental superhighways will be expanded under the guise of eminent domain where many U.S. citizens could risk losing their property in the name of public good. Earlier this year, Australian toll road giant Macquarie agreed to purchase forty local newspapers in Texas and Oklahoma in order to silence critics of NAFTA superhighway expansion. Macquarie has already joined with Spanish company Cintra in a 75-year lease of 157 miles of Indiana highway. This is just a small part of a diabolical plan by traitors within our own government to sell highway infrastructure that is owned by American taxpayers over to foreign investors. These foreign investors will no doubt profit greatly from the tolls they will collect on these roads.
These proposed North American trade corridors including the NAFTA superhighway are foundational building blocks towards the formation of an eventual North American Union. The Security and Prosperity Partnership outlines plans to merge and harmonize policies between all three North American nations that will be overseen by non governmental organizations and unelected bureaucrats.
All of this information makes Melvin’s argument of no new NAFTA superhighway a ridiculous assertion. There already is a NAFTA superhighway and nobody is saying that there are plans for a new NAFTA superhighway. The American people and Dr. Paul are concerned that the control of these roads are being transferred to foreign investors and that people’s property will be seized under eminent domain when these highways are expanded. Melvin’s statements are insulting to the intelligence of any free thinking person and she should stop spreading propaganda and lies in order to hide the true nature of what NASCO is a part of.

Ron Paul Sets All-Time Fundraising Record
Nolan Chart
December 17, 2007
This screenshot was taken 3 minutes after the fundraiser ended
Unofficially, the Ron Paul campaign raised $5.92 million dollars on-line yesterday. That’s the largest amount every raised by any candidate on-line in any electoral campaign ever, anywhere. Over 57,668 Paul supporters can be justly proud of themselves and delighted about what those kind of funds can bring to their campaign.
The Boston Tea Party blitz “broke the thermometer” on the $12 million campaign quarterly goal within the first few hours. Reporters and columnists will probably be quibbling about what records it actually broke for the next week, while they’re taking rides on the Ron Paul Blimp. Volunteer promoter Trevor Lyman will probably be getting more than his 15 minutes of fame.
Campaign Records
Candidates are not required to record contribution receipts on the day they are received. They are only required to exercise “due diligence” in entering the data prior to the end of the quarter, for reporting to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Campaign offices may have stacks of checks received during the course of a week, before allocating staff to do the required data entry before a reporting deadline.
As a result, there is no way to tell, from FEC reports, what day the contributions were sent or received. The only thing known is when they were entered into the computerized reporting systems. The last day of a quarterly reporting period may be the most hectic. That’s when Hillary Clinton’s campaign entered $6.2 million dollars of contributions: June 30, 2007. At the time, her campaign publicized several million-dollar fundraising events in the prior week, but took no credit for any one-day record for receipts.
Ron Paul beat that record too! In addition to the on-line contributions, he received over $400,000+ in off-line contributions on Sunday, bringing his verified record one-day fundraising total of $6.32 million.
On-Line Receipts
In the 2004 presidential campaign, John Kerry took in $2.7 million from on-line contributions (automatically recorded into their systems on that day) two days after he “locked up” the nomination: March 6, 2004. That record was broken by the November 5th Ron Paul Money Bomb that brought in $4.2 million.
However, FEC records indicate that the Kerry campaign entered an additional $3.0 million on the same day. There is no way to tell when those additional funds were sent or received. Nevertheless, the total of $5.7 million has been reported as a one-day fundraising record for Kerry. Ron Paul total receipts broke that dubious record by more than a half-million dollars.
Quarterly Records
The 4th Quarter FEC reports are not due until ten days after January 1st, 2008. Given Ron Paul’s totals, it is unlikely that any competitors will be bragging about their quarterly totals before the numbers are released by the FEC, well after the Iowa and Wyoming caucuses and the New Hampshire and Michigan primaries.
At this point, the Ron Paul effort is projected to raise over $21 million for the fourth quarter. That exceeds the third quarter totals reported by every other Republican candidate for President. None of them have reported their receipts so far this quarter, although Mike Huckabee was delighted with breaking a $2.0 million campaign goal last week. At the beginning of this quarter, Ron Paul had more cash on hand ($5m+) than any other Republican candidate except Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson. Both Romney and McCain were in the red, due to debts incurred by their campaigns (for Romney, three loans from his own pocket).
For too many months, reporters have discounted Ron Paul’s credibility. He either couldn’t raise enough money (“the mother’s milk of politics”) or he couldn’t develop enough grass-roots support to turn out voters. On the first count, Paul is now the apparent leader in Republican Presidential candidate fundraising. He will undoubtedly be hiring more staff and buying more advertising. But, for real grass-roots activists, none of the campaigns even come close to the 77,949 real people who are participating in MeetUp events around the country. That’s twice as many committed supporters as all of the other campaigns (Republican and Democrat) combined. There are a dozen other social internet groups with tens of thousands of Paul supporters. In terms of grass-roots activism, nobody even comes close to the Ron Paul rEVOLution squads.
Next Sunday, Tim Russert will not be able to say “You can’t win” to Ron Paul’s face. That hour-long appearance on Meet The Press will expose millions more to the Ron Paul message. What astounds the other campaigns is that Ron has no “handlers” to “prep him” for this major appearance. He doesn’t need them. He’s been practicing for 30 years and never varied in his principles. He is naturally eloquent and he can be totally honest, because he respects voters and knows the facts. There will be a lot of people astounded by the successes of the Ron Paul campaign. And they will be astounded again when the January election results start arriving.
