U.S. Army Teaching Trainees to Kill Kids and Women
Press TV
April 18, 2010
A former US Army specialist, who was part of the same unit that killed Iraqi civilians from a helicopter in 2007, says dehumanization is part of basic US army training.
In an interview with Press TV, Josh Steiber explained the three years he spent in the US Army before he asked to be released as a conscientious objector.
Steiber said “the dehumanizing of people from other countries” was the main reason that he quit the Army.
“As far back as basic training, we were singing songs as we were marching around, joking about killing women and children,” he told the Press TV correspondent in Washington.
The whistle-blower website, WikiLeaks, released a shocking video earlier this month showing US soldiers in an Apache helicopter killing dozens of Iraqi civilians, including two Reuters employees, in cold blood.
Steiber noted that he sang the following song together with other members of his unit:
- I went down to the market where all the women shop
I took out my machete and I began to chop
I went down to the park where all the children play
I pulled out my machine gun and I began to spray
Steiber pointed out that he did not personally know the pilot in the video because they were attached to his unit only on that one fateful day.
However, the former US Army specialist was not surprised by what was on the tape.
“You’re focused on the physical aspect, but all along there is a psychological aspect.”
“I think it would be wrong to put all [the blame] on the individual soldier. I think it’s very telling that the secretary of defense, [Robert Gates], came out over the weekend and said there is no wrongdoing in the video.”
“And so if you’re only adjusting a few soldiers when the secretary of defense is putting his stamp of approval on this, then the system is not gonna change.”
Steiber concluded that there are other soldiers and veterans who are as disillusioned and war-weary as he is.

EUGENICS
Activists claim Uzbek government has ordered forced sterilization of women to lower birth rate
AP
March 2, 2010
A human rights group and a think-tank alleged Tuesday that Uzbekistan’s government has instructed health workers to surgically sterilize women as part of a campaign to reduce the birth rate of the authoritarian ex-Soviet nation.
Uzbek health officials did not answer repeated telephone calls from The Associated Press to seek their comment about the allegation.
However, previous human rights, United Nations and U.S. State Department reports also have alleged that women in the central Asian country have been forced or duped into sterilization.
Uzbekistan’s government retains strict Soviet-style control over health institutions in the predominantly Muslim nation of 27 million, whose population has been growing quickly.
The Expert Working Group, an independent think-tank based in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, said Tuesday that a Health Ministry decree issued in mid-February orders district doctors to recommend hysterectomy as an “effective contraceptive.” The procedure requires partial removal of the uterus and makes women irreversibly sterile.
Uzbek law does not prohibit forced sterilization or removal of reproduction organs.
The decree orders each district physician to persuade “at least two women” a month to have the procedure, the group’s coordinator, Sukhrobdzon Ismoilov, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. Physicians who don’t follow the decree face reprisals and fines from their superiors, he added.
“We’re talking about at least tens of thousands of women,” Ismoilov said.
Uzbekistan has an estimated 80,000 physicians, each overseeing several hundred patients in cities, towns and villages across the nation.
Ismoilov said his group reached its conclusion after interviewing dozens of health workers throughout Uzbekistan in the weeks following the publication of the decree.
A human rights group in western Uzbekistan supported the claim.
Khaitboy Yakubov of the Najot group in the Khoresm region told the AP that his group learned about “numerous” cases of forced sterilization even before the decree was issued.
The group said in a report in 2009 that doctors in hospitals often sterilize women after their second child without their consent. Many women, alarmed by rumors about the procedure, opt to give birth at home, the group said.
Sometimes, the group said, doctors force women to have the surgery, alleging they have serious gynecological pathologies.
The Expert Working Group and Najot have both faced official pressure amid a perennial crackdown on government critics and opposition in Uzbekistan.
Their claims reflect similar allegations made in 2005 by Gulbakhor Turayeva, an Uzbek human rights activist and medical doctor. He claimed surgeons were instructed to secretly perform hysterectomies on women treated for minor gynecological disorders in the densely populated Ferghana Valley in eastern Uzbekistan.
Turayeva was later convicted of anti-government actions and possession of banned literature, and he spent six months in jail.
In 2006, a U.S. State Department report on Uzbekistan said: “Torture and abuse were common in prisons, pretrial facilities, and local police and security service precincts. Several cases of medical abuse were reported, including forced psychiatric treatment on political grounds and alleged sterilization of women without notification or medical need.”
In 2007, the U.N. Committee Against Torture reported a “large number” of cases of forced sterilization and removal of reproductive organs in Uzbek women, often after cesarean sections. Some women were abandoned by their husbands as a result, it said.
Most of the Uzbek population is concentrated in impoverished rural areas, where inefficient economic reforms, official pressure on farmers, and deterioration of Soviet-built irrigation systems have contributed to widespread unemployment and a mass exodus of Uzbek labor migrants to neighboring countries.
The practice of forced sterilization dates back to 1999, said Ismoilov of the Expert Working Group, when Uzbek President Islam Karimov expressed his dissatisfaction with high birth rate of about 4 to 5 children per woman and ordered measures to curb it.
Ismoilov claimed the ministry suspended the practice in 2003 after independent media reports and spreading rumors, but the February decree allegedly renews it.
In 2008, Uzbekistan reported the birth rate of 2.3 children per woman. Demographers say a fertility rate of only 2.1 children per woman is needed to maintain the existing population of developed countries.
Global Warming: A New Tool for Eugenics
Luke R.
We Are Change
April 19, 2010
![]() Luke R. |
Originally, eugenics in America was primarily focused on African-Americans and other non-white populations. This movement started around the time slavery ended and immigration began to increase.
The American Birth Control League created in 1921 was established by Margaret Sanger, a well-known racist and advocate for eugenics. Many articles published by Sanger include “The Purpose of Eugenics,” “The Eugenics Conscience,” “The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda” and many more. She has been quoted stating she would like to “exterminate the black population.”
With funding from John D. Rockefeller III, American Birth Control League changed it’s name in 1942 to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Strategically locating many of its centers in slums and ghettos, allowing their main target, African-American women, easy access to birth control and “family planning.”
Sanctioned by the US government in the early 1900’s, African-Americans were to receive sterilization. Many were told if they did not become sterile, they would be stripped of their benefits, forced to abort unborn children, find new doctors and other manipulative techniques to force sterilizations. African- American and non-white men were spared time in jail if they agreed to be sterilized.
President Richard Nixon was also a supporter of population control, especially among the African-American community, as he said in this phone conversation with a unknown White House staffer, “…a hell of a lot of people want to control all the Negro bastards… We’re talking really – and what John Rockefeller really realizes look, the people in what we call the “our class” control their populations. Sometimes they’ll have a family of 6, or 7, or 8, or 9, but it’s exception….People who don’t control their families are people in – the people who shouldn’t have kids…”
Today, many Planned Parenthood facilities are still located in lower-income neighborhoods. The three New York City locations are in Manhattans’ Lower East Side, Downtown Brooklyn and the South Bronx, all lower income areas.
Hitler did not originate the idea of eugenics and creating a superior Aryan race, it was indeed an American concept. Hitler adopted the American eugenic ideals and implemented them throughout his Nazi regime. He even received funding from the Rockefellers and the Carnegies to further his research and experiments, such as the Kaiser Wilhem institute in Germany.
After World War II, America recruited top German eugenics scientists during Operation Paperclip. They would work for the American government and would not face trials for their crimes.
Population control is not about race anymore. It is about survival of the fittest, about preserving and supporting a “superior elitist class.”
Constant propaganda through commercial campaigns, movies, TV, news, even clothing lines are all informing us that our daily activities such as driving to work, buying non-local produce, even breathing are contributing to the ever increasing C02 and greenhouse gases. Through fear and guilt we are being urged to take steps in reducing our carbon emissions. Higher populations = increased carbon emissions = global warming. World politicians, scientists, philanthropists and climatologists alike are all crying out for a demand in population control in hopes of debilitating “global warming.”
Described in a UN report “Women, Population and Climate” states placing more women in the workforce is important step to reducing the global population. Instead of planning families, women will be more focused on careers.
Also stated in the disturbing report, if the needs for contraceptives and abortions are met in third world countries, over time, population control would happen naturally and would not have to be forced on the people.
Optimum Population Trust is a UK organization that is offering services to people who support the green movement, they can donate to provide contraceptives and abortions in lower income countries in Africa and Haiti in turn offsetting their carbon footprint.
Ex Vice Pres. Al Gore stated in Copenhagen that expanding birth control, family planning and abortion programs in third world countries will help reduce the environmental threat.
Many of these programs have been spread throughout the third world by the UN, IMF, World Bank and other institutions. Now, it is easier for a woman in Kenya to receive an abortion then proper care for an infection that may lead to her death.
The American eugenics movement used the hate and racism towards African Americans to fuel and justify the start of their eugenics project. The Nazi regime had to create propaganda campaigns against Jewish persons in order to carry out their program of eugenics. What we have to understand is, due to racism not being as popular and socially acceptable, the elite have moved on to an new updated technique for eugenics and its called climate change.
The elite need global warming in order to pursue their reduction in population goals. They pay scientists and researchers in the top institutions to come up with models and reports to prove their theory correct.
What we don’t see is, Al Gore decreasing his emissions. Especially while flying in private jets and driving SUVs to attend global warming events. If he truly believes in climate change, wouldn’t you think he would arrive riding a bicycle to his press event? What about flying in an commercial airliner? His estate consumes more the 20 times the national average in natural gas. Also, produces a gas and electric bill which exceeds $2400 monthly. This is the man leading the global warming movement, which is today’s new and improved eugenics movement.

Crime Prediction Software Is Here and It’s a Very Bad Idea
GIZMODO
April 14, 2010
There are no naked pre-cogs inside glowing jacuzzis yet, but the Florida State Department of Juvenile Justice will use analysis software to predict crime by young delinquents, putting potential offenders under specific prevention and education programs. Goodbye, human rights!
They will use this software on juvenile delinquents, using a series of variables to determine the potential for these people to commit another crime. Depending on this probability, they will put them under specific re-education programs. Deepak Advani—vice president of predictive analytics at IBM—says the system gives “reliable projections” so governments can take “action in real time” to “prevent criminal activities?”
Really? “Reliable projections”? “Action in real time”? “Preventing criminal activities”? I don’t know about how reliable your system is, IBM, but have you ever heard of the 5th, the 6th, and the 14th Amendments to the United States Constitution? What about article 11 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? No? Let’s make this easy then: Didn’t you watch that scientology nutcase in Minority Report?
Sure. Some will argue that these juvenile delinquents were already convicted for other crimes, so hey, there’s no harm. This software will help prevent further crimes. It will make all of us safer? But would it? Where’s the guarantee of that? Why does the state have to assume that criminal behavior is a given? And why should the government decide who goes to an specific prevention program or who doesn’t based on what a computer says? The fact is that, even if the software was 99.99% accurate, there will be always an innocent person who will be fucked. And that is exactly why we have something called due process and the presumption of innocence. That’s why those things are not only in the United States Constitution, but in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights too.
Other people will say that government officials already makes these decisions based on reports and their own judgement. True. It seems that a computer program may be fairer than a human, right? Maybe. But at the end the interpretation of the data is always in the hands of humans (and the program itself is written by humans).
But what really worries me is that this is a first big step towards something larger and darker. Actually, it’s the second: IBM says that the Ministry of Justice in the United Kingdom—which has an impeccable record on not pre-judging its citizens—already uses this system to prevent criminal activities. Actually, it may be the third big step, because there’s already software in place to blacklist people as potential terrorist, although most probably not as sophisticated as this.
IBM clearly wants this to go big. They have spent a whooping $12 billion beefing up its analytics division. Again, here’s the full quote from Deepak Advani:
- Predictive analytics gives government organizations worldwide a highly-sophisticated and intelligent source to create safer communities by identifying, predicting, responding to and preventing criminal activities. It gives the criminal justice system the ability to draw upon the wealth of data available to detect patterns, make reliable projections and then take the appropriate action in real time to combat crime and protect citizens.
If that sounds scary to you, that’s because it is. First it’s the convicted-but-potentially-recidivistic criminals. Then it’s the potential terrorists. Then it’s everyone of us, in a big database, getting flagged because some combination of factors—travel patterns, credit card activity, relationships, messaging, social activity and everything else—indicate that we may be thinking about doing something against the law. Potentially, a crime prediction system can avoid murder, robbery, or a terrorist act.
It actually sounds like a good idea. For example, there are certain patterns that can identify psychopaths and potential killers or child abusers or wife beaters. It only makes sense to put a future system in place that can prevent identify potential criminals, then put them under surveillance.
The reality is that it’s not such a good idea: While everything may seem driven by the desire to achieve better security, one single false positive would make the whole system unfair. And that’s not even getting into the potential abuse of such a system. Like the last time IBM got into a vaguely similar business for a good cause, during the 1930s. They shipped a lot of cataloguing machines to certain government in Europe, to put together an advanced census. That was good. Census can improve societies by identifying needs and problems that the government can solve. At the end, however, that didn’t end well for more than 11 million people.
And yes, this comparison is an extreme exaggeration. But one thing is clear: No matter how you look at it, cataloguing people—any kind of people—based on statistical predictive software, and then taking pre-empetive actions against them based on the results, is the wrong way to improve our society. Agreeing with this course of action will inevitably take us into a potentially fatal path. [Yahoo!]

Officers Open Fire on Unarmed Katrina Victims
standard.co.uk
April 4, 2010
The US government and states have violated the human rights of victims of Hurricane Katrina, Amnesty International claimed today.
Its report Un-Natural Disaster says housing, health and policing policies have stopped poor communities rebuilding and returning to their homes since the 2005 hurricane, in which about 1,800 people died.
The White House denied the claims and Louisiana and Mississippi officials said they had gone to great lengths to help people recover from Katrina.
In the US a former New Orleans policeman faces eight years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiring to obstruct justice over a police cover-up during the hurricane.
Michael Hunter, 33, told federal authorities he saw a fellow officer shoot and kick unarmed, wounded civilians on a bridge in Katrina’s aftermath.
Hunter’s account of the shootings contradicts a police report that said civilians shot at officers on Danziger Bridge before the police opened fire, killing two people and wounding four others.
Hunter told a court he shouted “cease fire” after a sergeant with an assault rifle and other officers opened fire on a group of civilians who took cover behind a concrete barrier on the bridge.
“(The sergeant) suddenly leaned over the concrete barrier, held out his assault rifle, and, in a sweeping motion, fired repeatedly at the civilians lying wounded on the ground,” a court filing says. “The civilians were not trying to escape and were not doing anything that could be perceived as a threat.”
Two people were killed, 17-year-old James Brissette and 40-year-old Ronald Madison, who was mentally disabled. Hunter’s statement said an officer shot Mr Madison in the back with a shotgun.
US District Judge Sarah Vance said Hunter participated in a “blatant and systematic perversion of justice” and shouldn’t be seen as a “hero” for taking responsibility. He will be sentenced on June 30.

Microchipping Americans Found in Health Care Bill
Daily Paul
August 30, 2009
“Buried deep within the over 1,000 pages of the massive US Health Care Bill (PDF) in a “non-discussed” section titled: Subtitle C-11 Sec. 2521— National Medical Device Registry, and which states its purpose as:
“The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each device that—‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and ‘‘(B) is a class III device; or ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable.”
In “real world speak”, according to this report, this new law, when fully implemented, provides the framework for making the United States the first Nation in the World to require each and every one of its citizens to have implanted in them a radio-frequency identification (RFID) microchip for the purpose of controlling who is, or isn’t, allowed medical care in their country.

Congressman seeking to bar Iranians from U.S.
Press TV
January 13, 2010
A US congressman has announced his plans to reintroduce the Stop Terrorists Entry Program (STEP) Act into Congress, which calls for the deportation of most Iranians without permanent resident status.
The STEP Act, a bill that was originally presented in 2003, would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to bar citizens of Iran, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the United States.
Rep. J. Gresham Barrett says he is reintroducing the STEP Act in response to the Fort Hood shooting, carried out by a US citizen, and the Christmas Day attempt to blow up an airplane over Detroit, attempted by a Nigerian national.
If passed, the bill would deport all Iranians on student visas, temporary work visas, exchange visas, and tourist visas from the United States within 60 days.
It would also make it illegal for Iranians to travel to the United States, though some exceptions could be made after “extensive federal screening.”

Study: Youths sexually abused in juvenile prisons
USA Today
January 7, 2010
More than 12% of youths in juvenile prisons are sexually abused while in custody there, according to a Justice Department study out Thursday, and the vast majority of cases involve female staff and boys under their supervision.
In the worst facilities surveyed — in Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina and Texas — more than 30% of youths reported they had been sexually victimized. The study, the first of its kind, shows a rate of sexual assault more than seven times higher than that indicated by a 2008 Justice Department report that collected sexual abuse claims to juvenile facility administrators. It is also higher than a similar study of adult prisons because of the “very high rate of staff sexual misconduct,” said Allen Beck, who directed the survey for the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
The survey of 9,198 youths ages 13 to 21 — all in custody by order of a juvenile court — included methods to eliminate interviews considered unreliable. The survey covered 195 facilities, at least one in each state. Approximately 26,550 juveniles — 91% of them boys — are held in more than 500 such facilities around the country.
The survey showed that 10.3% of youths reported the sexual contact was with staff, compared with 2.6% who reported sexual victimization by other youths. In nearly half the incidents with staff, youths reported having sexual contact as a result of force.
The study sets a wider definition of sexual contact than rape, Beck said. Nonetheless, “these are all things that in the outside world would be considered violent or, by definition in law, they are illegal,” he said.
Sexual victimization of youths in custody “is one of those hidden closets of the system,” said Bart Lubow, director of the juvenile justice and strategy group for the Annie E. Casey Foundation, which advocates for children. The rates at the worst facilities are “so high they’re stunning,” he said. “I am, on the other hand, never surprised as people peel the layers of the youth corrections onion and expose more and more things that make you cry.”
Linda McFarlane of Just Detention International, an advocacy group focused on eliminating sexual abuse in prison, called the highest rates of abuse “shocking beyond belief.”
“The incredibly high rates of staff misconduct is shocking and disturbing,” McFarlane said. “We just need to do a better job with training and recruitment and hiring and supervision.”
The survey showed that gay youths reported higher levels of sexual abuse from other juveniles, and so did youths who had been abused before coming to the facility.
That makes the survey valuable for juvenile facilities other than the type covered in the survey, she said. “While we can’t say we know what’s happening in, say, the smaller group-home settings … we can look at the information in this report and use it to protect those (particularly vulnerable) kids.”
In Maryland, where 36% of youths surveyed at Backbone Mountain Youth Center said they had been victimized, the state Department of Juvenile Services said in a statement Thursday there will be an independent investigation by the state human resources and health agencies.
At Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility in Indiana, which also had among the highest rates of abuse in the study, four female guards were suspended a month ago after a report of sexual abuse, said Edwin Buss, state corrections commissioner.
Indiana officials say their own surveys show a much lower rate of sexual victimization.
“We’re not denying that this happens,” said Amanda Copeland, executive director of research and technology for the state Corrections Department. “We would be foolish to say that it never happens. We’re just questioning the extent to which it’s being reported” by the Justice Department. But the survey “gives us something to work with. Whether we agree with the percentages or the ratings or not, we recognize that we have issues and we need to address them, and we’re taking steps to do so.”

Full-Body Scanners Increase Cancer Risk
NoWorldSystem
December 6, 2010
There are two types of scanners we will have to endure at the airport; the millimeter-wave scanner and the ‘backscatter’ X-ray scanner. Both emit ‘high-energy’ radiation and are dangerous.
Body scanners have revolutionized the practice of medicine and has saved many lives, but we must question the government’s mandate to have people endure high-energy radiation in a non-life-threatening situation. We must protest the use of full-body scanners on children and young adults as they are at greater-risk of developing brain tumors and cancer from these machines. Cancer and tumors especially in the young will likely increase as more body scanners are being installed on a nationwide scale. There is just no “safe” dose of radiation, 50% of America’s cancers are radiation-induced.
People with medical implants such as pace-makers should also avoid electromagnetic pulse generating body scanners as they can significantly alter the waveform of the pacemaker pulse.
The millimeter wave scanners emit a wavelength of ten to one millimeter called a millimeter wave, these waves are considered Extremely High Frequency (EHF), the highest radio frequency wave produced. EHF runs a range of frequencies from 30 to 300 gigahertz, they are also abbreviated mmW. These waves are also known as terahertz (THz) radiation. The force generated from terahertz waves is small but the waves can ‘unzip’ or tear apart double-stranded DNA, creating bubbles in the DNA that could interfere with processes such as gene expression and DNA replication.
Clothing and organic materials are translucent in most millimeter-wave bands. Perfect for detecting metal objects on subjects at airports, but not so great at picking up low-density materials such as plastic, chemicals or liquid which were some of the items used by the underwear bomber.
Full Body X-ray Scanners provide exceptionally clear views of subjects by combining data from multiple images, but increased exposure to X-rays can also cause mutation in DNA, leading to cancer. X-rays are considered ionizing (penetrating) radiation, ionizing radiation in any dose causes genetic mutations, which set all living cells exposed on the path to cancer. Cancers associated with high dose exposure include leukemia, breast, bladder, colon, liver, lung, esophagus, ovarian, multiple myeloma, prostate, nasal cavity/sinuses, pharyngeal, laryngeal, pancreatic and stomach cancers.
Whole body scans of healthy people will create more problems than they solve by exposing healthy people to radiation. The risk for radiation over-exposure may be small for a single subject, but the number subject exposed to airport body scans will increase the risk by the millions. A normal CT scan of the chest is the equivalent of about 100 chest X-rays. Some scanners are equivalent of 440 conventional X-rays. The traditional X-ray machine detects hard and soft materials by the variation in transmission through the target. The backscatter X-ray detects the radiation that reflects back from the target. Several studies have suggested that people have been unnecessarily exposed to radiation from CTs or have received excessive amounts of radiation. A person undergoing a backscatter scan receives approximately 0.005 – 0.009 millirems of radiation. 1 mrem per year is a negligible dose of radiation, and 25 mrem per year from a single source is the upper limit of safe radiation exposure. Widespread overuse of body scanners and variations in radiation caused by different machines could subject many to radiation doses that could ultimately lead to thousands of new cancer cases and deaths.
