More than half the scientists fighting H1N1 ‘pandemic’ have ties to drug companies

More than half the scientists on the swine flu taskforce advising the Government have ties to drug companies.
Eleven of the 20 members of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) have done work for the pharmaceutical industry or are linked to it through their universities.
Many have declared interests in GlaxoSmithKline, the vaccine maker expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the pandemic.
The disclosure of the register of interests comes just days after a health expert branded the swine flu outbreak a ‘false pandemic’ driven by the drug companies which stood to profit.
The Government is now trying to offload up to £1billion worth of unwanted swine flu vaccine.
Last July, the Department of Health warned of up 65,000 deaths, with 350 a day at the pandemic’s peak. But the death toll now stands at just 251.
SAGE was created to give Ministers recommendations on how to control and treat the virus.
Official documents show some members are linked to vaccine manufacturer Baxter and to Roche, which makes Tamiflu.
GSK, Baxter and Roche stand to make up to £1.5billion between them from Government contracts related to swine flu.

Council of Europe to investigate Drugmakers’ links to “false pandemic” of swine flu

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is to hold an emergency debate and inquiry this month into the “influence” exerted by drugmakers on the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) global H1N1 flu campaign.
The text of the resolution approved by the Assembly calling for the debate and inquiry states that: “in order to promote their patented drugs and vaccines against flu, pharmaceutical companies influenced scientists and official agencies responsible for public health standards to alarm governments worldwide and make them squander tight health resources for inefficient vaccine strategies, and needlessly expose millions of healthy people to the risk of an unknown amount of side-effects of insufficiently tested vaccines.”
The WHO’s “false pandemic” flu campaign is “one of the greatest medicine scandals of the century,” according to Dr Wolfgang Wodarg, chairman the PACE Health Committee, who introduced the parliamentary motion. “The definition of an alarming pandemic must not be under the influence of drug-sellers,” he adds.
Dr Wodarg, a doctor and former SPD member of the German Bundestag, says that the “false pandemic” campaign began last May in Mexico City, when a hundred or so “normal” reported influenza cases were declared to be the beginning of a threatening new pandemic, although there was little scientific evidence for this. Nevertheless the WHO, “in cooperation with some big pharmaceutical companies and their scientists, re-defined pandemics,” removing the statement that “an enormous amount of people have contracted the illness or died” from its existing definition and replacing it by stating simply that there has to be a virus, spreading beyond borders and to which people have no immunity.
These new standards forced politicians in most states to react immediately and sign marketing commitments for additional and new vaccines against swine flu, through “sealed contracts” under which orders are secured in advance and governments take almost all responsibility. “In this way, the producers of vaccines are sure of enormous gains without having any financial risks. So they just wait until WHO says ‘pandemic’ and activate the contracts,” says Dr Wodarg.
“In January, we will arrange an emergency debate about the influence of the pharmaceutical industry on the WHO, and 47 parliaments all over Europe are going to be informed. Following this, we will initiate an investigation and hearings involving those responsible for the pandemic emergency. The aim is that none of the pharmaceutical companies under any circumstances must be allowed to make their influence felt on pandemic emergencies,” he went on.
“The victims among millions of needlessly vaccinated people must be protected by their states, and independent scientific clarification should provide evidence and transparency for national and, if necessary, European courts,” added Dr Wodarg.

Is the H1N1 swine flu vaccine causing miscarriages? Is the vaccine safe for pregnant women to take? Those are questions that thousands upon thousands of pregnant women have wrestled with over the past couple of months as they have decided what to do about the swine flu. The WHO and U.S health authorities insisted that the H1N1 swine flu vaccine was perfectly safe for pregnant women and pushed them to the front of the line. So thousands of women did run out and get themselves injected with the vaccine. Now reports are pouring in from all over the United States of women who have lost their babies very quickly after receiving the H1N1 vaccine. Many of these women are overcome with pain and a feeling of loss and are looking for answers. They end up on sites like this one because the mainstream media won’t touch this story with a ten foot pole (lest they offend the pharmaceutical giants and their millions of dollars in ad money). Fortunately there are alternatives to the mainstream media now. The following are stories from 9 of our readers who have lost their babies very soon after getting the H1N1 swine flu vaccine. We challenge anyone who still believes in the safety of this vaccine to read all of the following stories and then to explain to the rest of us why we should not be concerned.
The truth is that the H1N1 swine flu vaccine is NOT safe for pregnant women. The following are unedited personal testimonies left as comments by readers of this site…..

If you haven’t had a miscarriage, you shouldn’t comment about someone that has. This is my second miscarriage. I know my first miscarriage had absolutely nothing to do with the H1N1 shot (because it was in 2003), however, this time I believe there definitely could be a connection. I had 3 healthy babies after my first miscarriage. When I went to have my H1N1 shot (which was HIGHLY recommended by the Health Office workers since I WAS pregnant and I higher risk of H1N1), I was around 5 weeks pregnant. When I went in for my next ob appointment, I had an ultrasound that showed I was only 5 week and 2 days, although by that point I was almost 9 weeks pregnant. I never had any symptoms. The baby just died. Instead of reading about how pregnant women shouldn’t get the shot, the ONLY thing I read about pregnant women and the H1N1 shot is that they were top priority for the shot and should have it done as soon as possible. My doctor thought I may have just miscalculated and waited another few weeks to test levels (once a week) until we knew for sure what was going on. Three weeks later (should have been 12 weeks pregnant), I was told that the ultrasound was still showing 5 weeks and 2 days and that the baby was no longer living. I had to have a D&C. Not only was the physical pain traumatizing but the emotional pain was beyond bearable. Something needs to be done. PLEASE, take all of this into consideration before deciding if you are going to get the shot. I wish I wouldn’t have… There seems to be WAY too many stories for this to be a coincidence. If this is what our country is coming to, God, please help us all!

I got the H1N1 vacc. when I was 4 and a half weeks pregnanat. I started bleeding 2 weeks later and went to the doctor and was tol my pregnancy looked perfect for a 4 and a half week pregnanacy! Sounds like to me that everything was perfect until I got the vacc. We were completely devistated and I wish I knew the risks before I got it, but the docs will tell you miscarriages happen everyday, but that is not good enough for me.

We were in our 6 month of pregnancy, and we also got the vaccine, We also lost our baby, within 10 days of taking the vaccine. We also asked our Dr what could of caused this, they gave us many reasons, then we brought up H1N1 Vaccine, and before we could get the INE out in vaccine, they dismissed it as possible cause. I asked how could it be everthing else, and this is not even considered and dismissed immediately, I think if they did a study and found out that it does cause miscarriages, they entire health system would be under scrutiny and law suits.
It was our second child of which we do not have history of miscarriages or any medical or health issues. Upon delivery the baby looked pefect and no ambilical chord around its neck.

Last month on Nov.16th I had my son premature at 22 weeks along in my pregnancy he lived 5 hrs and then died of heart failure. About a week prior I recieved the H1N1 Flu vaccine. I began cramping in my lower abdomin and bleeding heavily on thursday night and after 75 hrs of labor trying to keep my son inside me as long as posible I delivered him on monday morning. After reading many of these storys I am convinced that I would still be pregnant if I would have denied the vaccine!

I should be 11 weeks and two days pregnant today. I had an appointment with my OB/GYN today and was told (from info of ultrasound) that my baby stopped growing on the exact day I had my H1N1 vaccine! To all those that have had problems with the vaccine I would suggest to report your event as well so the government can track this.
After researching the H1N1 vaccine (which I WISH I would have done before I took the vaccine), I cannot believe that all these officials and medical professional would think for a minute that injecting a drug that may contain mercury, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80 (associated with infertility), triton X100 (a strong detergent), phenoxyethanol (antifreeze) and many other toxic ingredients would be SAFE!
It seems as if there is a hidden agenda out there. Just think of the billions of dollars these pharmaceutical companies are making! Could THAT be the agenda??? I wonder…. HOW can the Pharmaceutical companies get away with giving vaccines that can cause death?! To anyone else that would be a crime!
I think we ALL need to join together and try to change the law so that we can protect this from happening to others. We should all push for legislature that will protect ourselves AND our unborn from this crime.

I have a healthy 1yr old boy no complication or history of miscarriages. I got the H1N1 vaccine to protect me and the baby at 7weeks pregnant. I lost the baby a week and a half after

I was 4 1/2 weeks pregnant when I got the H1N1 shot. I started spotting 2 days later, then a 2 weeks later lost my baby. I have 2 kids, with no history of miscarriage. If I could take back getting it I would because I think it caused my miscarriage. My doctor does not believe it does.

I was 5 weeks pregnant when my doctor suggested I get the H1N1 vaccine. I received the shot on a Thursday and was very sore and achy on Friday. I miscarried my baby on Sunday, just 3 days after receiving the shot. This was my first pregnancy and I thought I was doing the best thing for myself and my baby by getting the shot. I was encouraged to get the shot by my doctor and was not told that I should wait until I was further along. Also, I was not warned of any side affects accept for a sore arm where I got the shot. I was given the Novartis shot.

i was 14 wweks pregnant almost and took the H1N1 shot because my dr. said to and a few minutes afterwards i had severe headaches and shortness of breath,i called everywhere but no one would tell me nothing, then a couple of days after that i started spotting blood and had to be taken to the emergency room for a threatened misscarriage,then 4 days later i went to the OBGYN for an ultrasound my baby was fine until a couple of days later when i went back for an ultrasound and my baby had died it was a missed miscarriage ihad to wait 2 days for them to do a dnc. I had my baby and placenta sent to the lab for testing ,the results came back my baby was healthy,my choromasones were fine everything was fine,even the sex ,she was a little baby girl!my baby girl! and i think we have all been misinformed by our doctors, and i think the H1N1 shot killed my baby! and i will fight to get the answers because i want justice for my baby!

21 month-old boy dies after H1N1 vaccination
With trembling hands, the distraught mother stroked the yellow bear which belonged to Finlay – her beloved son. The little boy died two weeks ago at the age of 21 months after having a vaccination against swine flu.
Doctors reported the case to the Paul Ehrlich Institute as a possible result of a deadly reaction to the virus inoculation.
Mother Yvonne B. (34), a nurse for the elderly in Berlin, said: “Finlay was born with a heart defect and damaged lungs. He had been operated on four times. Now he was waiting in hospital for a new heart and a new lung.
“He was doing quite well. We went out with him everyday. He played in the leaves and liked to watch birds.”
Doctors told the parents that the tot should be inoculated, mirroring the advice of the standing committee on vaccinations.
Mom-of-three Yvonne added: “They said the side effects would be no problem, but that swine flu would be a real danger to our son. On top of that, a patient in the room next door had been diagnosed with swine flu.”
In the afternoon the boy was vaccinated. On the next day he was still laughing and happily playing around in the leaves.
But in the night, his condition suddenly worsened. He vomited and fluid got into his lung. The organ failed, and then so did his heart.
The devastated mother said: “We were called at night. Finlay fell asleep on my husband’s arm.”
Immediately a horrific thought surfaced – was the H1N1 virus vaccination to blame for the agonising tragedy?
“The assumption is simply an obvious one! At least that the vaccination played some kind of role.”
The parents consented to an autopsy of their son. “The Pathological Institute told us yesterday they couldn’t exclude a connection, but also that there was nothing speaking for it compellingly.
“If I had the choice again, I would not let my son be vaccinated.”
The investigation of the boy’s death is still ongoing.
A week ago the parents carried their son to his grave. “He had an unbelievable willingness to live. We never thought for a second that he wouldn’t make it,” said his mother.

UK: Healthy children below age of five to get swine flu jab

Healthy children aged under five are to be given the swine flu jab, the Government has confirmed.
Currently people in priority groups – including young children with asthma or diabetes – are being vaccinated.
But the programme will now be rolled out to children with no underlying health issues, aged over six months and under five.
The UK-wide policy was officially confirmed by the Scottish Government today ahead of a similar announcement in England, expected later.
Nicola Sturgeon, the Scottish Health Secretary, said: “I am able to announce today that the next group in the population that will be vaccinated, or offered vaccination, is children aged over six months and under five years.”

According to the German press agency (Deutsche Presse Agentur), a man from the German Federal State of Thuringia has died following a innoculation for the Swine Flu.
The local newspaper “Thuringia Allgemeine” reports that the 55 year-old from Eichsfeld was vaccinated on Thursday November 12, 2009 and died that night.
The health minister of Thuringia, Heike Taubert, told the paper that a possible connection between the vaccination and the death was being investigated.
She presumed that an autopsy would be conducted. No information is currently available about previous ailments of the deceased or incompatibilities with regard to vaccination ingredients.

Two die after getting Chinese H1N1 vaccine

Two people have died in China after receiving domestically manufactured vaccines against swine flu, Government said on Saturday.
The preliminary autopsy report of one of the deceased showed that the patient suffered a sudden cardiac death while results of the autopsy on the second person are still awaited, the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying by the Xinhua news agency.
“Experts have basically ruled out the possibility that the patient’s sudden death was the result of immediate allergic reactions to the flu vaccines,” a statement on Ministry’s Website said.
Around 43 people have so far succumbed to swine flu in China due to the disease.

I am so upset. I was so excited to be pregnant after trying for a year. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I joined this birth club and I was due June 25th. We have two healthy boys with no history of miscarriage. Everything was going great. Last Monday, I got the H1N1 vaccine thimerosal reduced (mercury reduced for pregnant women). On Tuesday morning, I started cramping and on Wednesday I started bleeding heavily. My hcg was 50 on Wednesday and I was almost 6 weeks along so it was low. They still thought that I might be pregnant but on Friday my hcg was down to 22. I am an emotional wreck. I feel like I had a healthy baby and I caused this by getting the H1N1 vaccine. My doctors pushed it. I researched online and there have been many miscarriages after the H1N1 vaccine but they haven’t been reported since it is hard to say what caused the miscarriages. I hope that I did not cause this. I wish everyone the best.

I don’t have an answer for you, but a friend of a friend just had a miscarriage 2-3 days after getting the shot. She was 7weeks. She had no previous history of m/c… No one can answer if they’re related…it hasn’t been out long enough and there haven’t been any studies done on pregnant women. I will tell you, that it has made up my mind on getting it…I won’t and I’m not going to get it for my DD either. My daughter and I both had H1N1 last week, and although it truly sucks…I think I’ll take my chances. One doctor will tell you to get it and the next will tell you not too…you have to do what’s in your heart.

my heart goes out to you as i recently miscarried as well and was due in june. i had a healthy heart beat at 6wks. then at 7.5 wks my son got the h1n1 mist vaccine which has live vaccine in it. the nurse said to be careful b/c it could technically spread if he rubbed his nose and touched a surface etc. the next night i miscarried and 5 days later was diagnosed with h1n1. i work from home, kids are home, hadnt been anywhere during that time. so the chances that it is all related are very high. the flu mist vaccine warns for immunocompromised patients (which includes prego) to stay away from recipients of the flu mist for 21 days.

I was so ready to get the H1N1 vaccine last week and they were only giving them to pregnant women. I was 6 weeks along and got it and the next day I started cramping and miscarried. I already had two healthy pregnancies and never miscarried or had any problems. My doctors think I am crazy to think it was the H1N1 but if no one looks into this than other women will not know. I also received the H1N1 vaccination on October 22nd, 2009 and went into labor on October 25th, at 16 weeks pregnant and we just heard the heartbeat and everything was fine with my pregnancy on October 16th, 2009, then on October 28th my water broke then on October 29th, I delivered a stillborn baby boy, and no one can tell me why…Everyone wants to say it did not come from the shot but I believe it did. My baby was growing at the correct pace and everyone wants to brush off the vaccination. I say if you have the vaccination and suffer a miscarriage if they are able to perform an autopsy have it done.
I also agree something needs to be done and looked more into with this vaccination because most women are being advised it’s just something that happens, but I also had two healthy children normal pregnancies and when I received this vaccination with my third pregnancy, my baby is gone.

I received the H1N1 vaccine on October 16th and started experiencing cramping on the 22nd. I was nearly 17 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a stillborn baby boy on the 23rd. Like many of the other women here, the first thing I suspected was the H1N1 vaccine. I immediately asked a nurse at the hospital if that would have anything to do with it. Without hesitation, she told me “absolutely not.” I had reservations about getting the vaccine, but followed the advice of my long trusted family doctor. In a follow up appointment with my doctor 3 days after I lost my baby, I asked him if the vaccine would have had any adverse effects on my baby. He also said that it was not possible. I don’t believe that my doctor was necessarily lying to me, he was simply following the accepted practices and opinions of his field. I do, however, believe that as a nation, we are being lied to. This vaccine is NOT safe during pregnancy. There has not been enough testing done to determine this and there are far too many “coincidences” for this to be anything but a result of a vaccine that was hastily pushed into production and distribution in an effort to stop widespread panic. I have read so many stories in defense of the vaccine that will talk about how common miscarriages are, but I would challenge you to ask ANY health care professional how common second trimester miscarriages are. My baby was doing perfect developmentally and I had felt him move earlier that day. My heart goes out to all of you out there who have had to go through the same heartache and loss that I have had in the last couple of weeks. There is no reason that any woman or family should have to go through this. Get the word out to all of the pregnant women that you know. I know that if I had heard that women had been losing their babies shortly after they received the vaccine, I would have followed my gut and not gotten it myself. Maybe then Wyatt would have had a chance at life.

Four of us got the H1N1 vaccine 2 weeks ago and one by one each of us started to have preterm contractions. We are all due in Nov and Dec so we are further along than most of the people that lost their babies. There is no way you can tell us that our preterm labor was not caused by the H1N1 vaccine. It may look like a “fluke” to some people when these women are scattered all over the country but we are talking about 4 of us in our small community. I got a flu shot in pregnancy, developed incredibly strange symptoms immediately (numb hands, feet and mouth, heart palpitations, sudden weakness in my legs, a bright red face), began bleeding and miscarried by 11 weeks. If you are a pregnant mother, please do not take the H1N1 swine flu vaccine. Instead, do everything that you can do to avoid public places and make sure to wash your hands more than you usually would. Take extra large doses of immunity building vitamins and research many of the great natural ways for fighting the flu that are out there on the Internet.
The truth is that if you do take the vaccine and then something happens, you will NOT be able to sue anyone (thanks to Congress). You will have to bear all the responsibility yourself. That doctor who kept pushing and pushing it on you will tell you that it could not have been the vaccine and that you probably would have miscarried anyway.

It took the strength of two sheriff’s deputies to keep a middle schooler still enough to receive a shot of the swine flu, or H1N1, vaccine at a clinic.
During a regular Wheeling-Ohio County Health Board meeting Tuesday, health department Administrator Howard Gamble told board members about the student’s attempt to flee Wheeling Middle School during a vaccination clinic held there last Friday.
He noted the boy’s mother could not bear to watch the scene and left the gymnasium. Out of apparent fear of receiving the injection, the student ran out of the building. The school’s resource officer, Ohio County Sheriff’s Deputy John Haglock, coaxed the boy back inside. Once at the shot station, however, Haglock apparently needed some help keeping the boy still, and another deputy assisted.
“He tried to run. I looked over and saw two sheriff’s deputies holding a kid down,” Gamble said. “Mom took off, she couldn’t take it. You had one nurse with the needle, two deputies holding him down, one nurse is grabbing his hands – because that’s what they want to do, to go after the needle. And that’s the last thing you want.”
Gamble said as soon as the nurse gave the boy his injection and told him he was done, he hopped up like nothing had happened.
“For the most part they go very easy. As far as the shots, every once in awhile you have to hold down one or two – but that’s why mom is there or dad is there,” Gamble said.
He added after the meeting that Friday’s incident was the only time Ohio County deputies have held a student during a shot.
“They’re mostly there for parking and directions. They also know the kids. … They were our first line of contact when setting up the clinics,” Gamble said.
Neither Sheriff Pat Butler nor Haglock could be reached for comment. A sheriff’s department official said Haglock is on vacation for the next two weeks.
During a clinic Tuesday at Bridge Street Middle School, similar scenes took place – though not quite as dramatic and not involving officers of the law. A couple sets of parents could be seen keeping their children from wiggling away while a nurse quickly administered the vaccine.
Ten-year-old Austin Price, the son of Jennifer and Josh Price, decided to take the shot standing up and with no assistance from his mom or dad. He even smiled for a photograph.
And on a scale of 1-10, how painful was the shot?
A “4,” he answered.
By 7:30 p.m., 391 students from Bridge Street and Elm Grove and Middle Creek elementary schools had been vaccinated. Gamble expected that by the clinic’s end at 8 p.m., more than 400 would have received the inoculation.

Dr. Mehmet Oz is a huge promoter of vaccines. He’s been on television reinforcing fear about H1N1 swine flu and telling everyone to get vaccinated. But what he didn’t tell his viewing audience is that he holds 150,000 option shares in a vaccine company that could earn him millions of dollars in profits as the stock price rises. It is in Dr. Oz’s own financial interest, in other words, to hype up vaccines and get more people taking them so that his own financial investments rise in value.
Evidence describing these facts was delivered to NaturalNews by a private investigator named Joseph Culligan (http://webofdeception.com/oprah.html#oz). That evidence includes an SEC document detailing how Dr. Oz. bought options on stocks for SIGA Technologies in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. SIGA Technologies (stock symbol SIGA) is a vaccine technology company with many advanced developments whose success depends on the widespread adoption of vaccines. According to SEC documents, Dr. Mehmet Oz. currently holds 150,000 option shares on SIGA Technologies, purchased for as little as $1.35 back in 2005.
At the time of this writing, SIGA Technologies is trading at $7.10, making those options bought in 2005 worth $5.75 in profits today. If all the 150,000 options purchased by Dr. Oz. were exercised today, they would be worth roughly $180,000 in profits (they were bought at different prices, not all at $1.35). This is all revealed in what the SEC website calls an “insider transaction” document (link below).

If the stock price of SIGA Technologies could be pumped up even more — say, from someone hyping up vaccines in front of a national audience — these options could mathematically be worth millions of dollars. Just to clarify, by the way, SIGA Technologies doesn’t currently manufacture a vaccine for H1N1 swine flu. It focuses on future vaccine technologies that could be applied to many different vaccines down the road.
Dr. Oz. isn’t merely a holder of SIGA stock options, by the way: He’s on the Board of Directors! As SIGA’s own website explains, Dr. Oz has served on the board since 2001 and continues his role there today. This brings up the obvious question:
Is it right for someone talking about whether vaccines are safe on television to also be carrying stock options and serving on the board of directors of a vaccine company at the same time?
Just to make things a little more interesting, SIGA Technologies recently received a $3 million grant in taxpayer dollars from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The purpose of the grant money? To fund the study of a chemical adjunct named ST-246 to be used in future vaccines. So taxpayer money is now being used to fund a vaccine technology company whose stock price increases will financially benefit the very celebrity doctor who is hyping up vaccines to a national audience.

Doctors in Britain are effectively being bribed by health authorities to push the swine flu vaccine on a reluctant public after suspicions over the safety of the shot resulted in huge numbers of people refusing to take it.
The government originally intended for the entire population of the UK to receive the H1N1 vaccine but less than half have indicated that they will take the shot.
Multiple opinion polls have revealed that half of GPs in Britain have severe reservations and doubts over the safety of the shot.
A much larger Nursing Times magazine poll in August also found that 30% of all frontline nurses said they would refuse to be immunized, with another 33% saying they were unsure over the vaccine.
50% of pregnant women in the UK have also said they will refuse the vaccine.
This resistance has prompted health authorities to bribe doctors to push the vaccine on the public in the form of new bonuses for each and every shot they give, on top of those already in place.
“NHS managers in Birmingham have told family doctors they will be able to get extra payments – on top of the £5.25 they already get per jab – if they meet targets on vaccination rates,” reports the Daily Mail.
“If they vaccinate more than 90 per cent of those deemed at risk of the disease in their area, they will get 50 per cent more per jab, meaning they will be paid £7.88 for every person they vaccinate.”
Doctors who achieve a 40 per cent uptake will receive an extra 10 per cent bonus. In total, the bonuses are potentially worth thousands of pounds per practice.
Critics expressed outrage that doctors were effectively being bribed to become drug pushers for the government.
- Jackie Fletcher, of vaccination support group Jabs, said: ‘There are huge questions about the integrity of vaccine decisions if doctors are paid to give them.
‘All vaccines carry a risk of side effects. Can we be confident GPs will tell patients about these risks if they are being paid extra to ensure a high uptake?
‘Rather than paying bonuses, the Department of Health should be investigating possible side effects.’
As we highlighted last week, mass resistance to the vaccine has prompted elitists to devise deceptive schemes in an attempt to get more people to take the shot. During a recent Council on Foreign Relations meeting, Andrew Jack, Pharmaceutical Correspondent for the Financial Times, conceded that “the anti-vaccine movement is having a field day on the internet” and that the CFR, via its many members which occupy prominent positions in the establishment media, should conspire to counter negative information about the swine flu vaccine.
At around the same time, Sir Liam Donaldson, the Chief Medical Officer in England, described people who express doubts about the swine flu vaccine as “extremists”.
During another part of the discussion on whether or not the vaccine should be made mandatory for health workers and school children, Lone Simonsen, Research Professor and Research Director at the Department of Global Health, George Washington University, suggests creating an artificial scarcity in order to ramp up demand for the vaccine.
“I think what would work better would be to say that there was a shortage and people tend to buy more of something that’s in demand. (Laughter.) We saw that — there was one season where, really, people lined up all night to get a flu shot.” Simonsen says, much to the amusement of the other attendees at the symposium.
But this is exactly the scam being run by the corporate media. Endless stories about shortages in supply, allied with footage of members of the public queuing for hours to receive the vaccine, have created a contrived sense of scarcity, similar to how toy companies manufacture a stampede for a particular item before Christmas by floating stories about something being low in stock.

As European governments forge ahead with mass swine flu vaccination programs, reports out of Hungary and Sweden suggest that some people have died shortly after taking the H1N1 vaccine.
The Budapest Times is reporting that a 64-year-old woman has died just two days after receiving the H1N1 shot.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine if there is a link between the vaccine and the death of the patient, who suffered from chronic, but mild, heart disease, according to the article.
So far just 4 people have died from swine flu in Hungary.
The country’s H1N1 vaccine is being supplied by local vaccine manufacturer Omninvest. The government there has ordered six million doses cover about 60% of Hungary’s population of 10 million.
Omnivest’s vaccines are egg grown and adjuvanted with aluminum phosphate. The company says that only one dose of their H1N1 vaccine is required. Though they have conducted limited trials with the H1N1 virus, their vaccine, is based on tests with the avian flu strain.
According to the Budapest Times report, Omnivest has threatened to sue over allegations that its swine flu vaccine may be dangerous. However, a leading advisor to the Health Ministry in Hungary, last week suggested that the vaccine is not suitable for small children and pregnant women, in spite of the fact that the shot is being offered to free of charge to those “at risk” groups.
Reports are also emerging out of Sweden that suggest more deaths have occurred.
According to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, medical experts have said that a man in his fifties died of a suspected heart attack 12 hours after receiving the Pandemrix shot, which is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline.
The newspaper also reported that a 65-year-old women died two days after receiving the jab, she is reported to have suffered from a “muscle condition”.

Other reports out of Sweden suggest that 190 people, including many nurses have reported suffering side effects from the vaccine to the medical authority (MPA).
“So far, the authority has received more than 190 reports from both health care and private individuals. By far the most common are pain in the arm. Then mild flu symptoms like fever, muscle pain, stomach pain, headaches, dizziness and fatigue.” reports Swedish news website DN.se.
The report goes on to state that GlaxoSmithKline is attributing a higher than normal rate of side effects to the adjuvants in the vaccine:
“According to vaccine manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline may be about one in ten vaccinated trouble, which is slightly more than the usual seasonal influenza vaccine. This is because a substance in the vaccine that triggers immune response in time.” the translation reads.
GlaxoSmithKline’s Pandemrix vaccine contains the adjuvant squalene.
Vaccinations began throughout Europe a little over a week ago. Sweden was one of the first countries to begin vaccination on October 12.
According to the Stockholm-based European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, there have been a total of 230 deaths linked to H1N1 in Europe since April, with around 50% of those occurring in the UK.

The federal government has accelerated its $16 million dollar PR campaign to brainwash and coerce increasingly suspicious Americans into taking the swine flu vaccine by weaving their propaganda into a popular pre-school show for children currently airing on PBS Kids.
Sid the Science Kid is a half-hour series produced by Jim Henson Productions and KCET in Los Angeles, California. The program is bankrolled in part by The Boeing Company, a titan of the military-industrial complex.
During an episode of the show set to air on Monday, the computer-generated characters are shown dancing around and singing about how their are taking their flu vaccine.
Indeed, the entire episode is devoted to pro-vaccine propaganda and was created in association with Health and Human Services. The episode is entitled, “Getting a Shot: You can do it!”
According to a press release, “Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and Lisa Henson, CEO of the Jim Henson Company, will join Washington-area school children for a screening of the new “Sid the Science Kid” special episode on the flu at the U.S. Department of Education Auditorium.”
Children will also be directed to the Sid the Science Kid website to play games focused around the issue of vaccines.
“In this special episode, Sid explains how vaccines work and shows millions of children what they can do to prevent the spread of the flu,” said Secretary Sebelius. “Sid will be a great messenger as we continue to find new and creative ways to reach out to children, adults, and families about how to stay healthy during flu season.”
As we have reported, the government is openly embedding propaganda about its health care agenda into the plots of major network shows all this week. We also discovered a separate example of almost subliminal brainwashing where the watching audience are told to get the flu shot via a deceptive and insidious insert during an episode of FlashForward, a sci-fi series currently airing on ABC.
What ‘Sid the Science Kid,’ the pharmaceutical lobby and Kathleen Sebelius won’t tell you about the swine flu vaccine is that children are already dying after taking similar vaccines, that healthy young women are getting brain disorders after being injected with flu vaccines, that the H1N1 shot contains dangerous additives like mercury which cause autism, and that a child is 40 times more likely to be struck by lightning than have their life saved by a swine flu vaccine.
While children are having this crap shoved down their throats on television, the New York Times‘ educational division is teaching them in schools across the country that openly admitted facts about the dangers of the swine flu vaccine are all in fact “myths”.
Some of the “myths” claimed by the Times include manifestly provable facts such as the potential that flu shots will have side-effects. This is clearly stated on the inserts of vaccine batches by the pharmaceutical companies themselves, but the NY Times is teaching children in American schools that it is a myth!
According to the Times, it is also a myth that any of the batches of H1N1 vaccine contain thimerosal, a mercury based preservative, despite the fact that this again is openly admitted by the pharmaceutical companies who produce the vaccines.
If none of the vaccines contained mercury, then maybe the NY Times can tell us why top officials in the German government, including Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as German soldiers, have been given an additive-free version of the vaccine that doesn’t contain thimerosal?
With rapidly expanding numbers of parents refusing to allow their children to take the seasonal or swine flu shot, the government has a problem on its hands having already bought over 300 million doses of the vaccine. This is manifesting itself in the form of bellicose and fearmongering propaganda being gleefully spewed out by the compliant networks as the feds start to panic about the fact that the idiot public are waking up to the real agenda behind the toxic vaccines and the record windfall profits currently being reaped by pharmaceutical companies who are laughing all the way to the bank.

A new scientific poll has found that the vast majority of Americans have no intention of rolling up their sleeves for the H1N1 vaccine because they do not trust government assurances that the shot is safe.
In the week that the first H1N1 vaccines have become available, 62% of respondents to ABC News/Washington Post survey said they will probably not get vaccinated, while 30% said they are not confident in the shot’s safety.
The poll shows that the vast majority of Americans would rather risk sickness than trust their government’s advice of necessity, indicating that the $16 million federal propaganda effort is failing.
In addition, the survey reveals that around four parents out of ten say they have no intention of allowing their children to receive the vaccine.
Over half of respondents in that group said that the primary reason they would not allow their kids to be vaccinated was because of the possibility of side effects and suspicions that the shot has not been adequately tested.
The rest cited the belief that H1N1 was not serious enough to warrant vaccination or that getting the shot was not “worth the trouble”.
The results come despite the fact that concerns over getting the flu have also increased significantly from 39% to 52%. More people are worried over H1N1 than they were over bird flu and SARS in 2006 and 2003 respectively, according to the poll.

Yesterday 30 people had been reporting to the authorities in Sweden that they experienced such severe side effects that they felt the need to contact a hospital. Today the number is 140. The swedish newspaper Expressen is the only one in Sweden reporting on these cases and as usual this is most likely only the tip of a rather large iceberg. UPDATE: According to Dagens Nyheter, the number of reported side effects are now a few hours later 190. 1 person dies after the injection but “no direct relation with the injection has been established”. The biggest medical scandal in the history of Sweden has just started.
Even so, Annika Linde, director of The Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI) manages to spin this into something positive by stating “The vaccine has more side effects than the normal flu vaccine. It is a sign that proves that it gives an effective protection.”
Thousands of Swedes have been vaccinated so far and the reports of side effects are “flooding in” to The Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI). Annika Linde: “It is obviously so that the vaccine against the swine flu results in more side effects than the normal flu vaccines. That is because the swine flu vaccine contains adjuvants, shark liver oil (squalene), which triggers the immune defense to respond. That also results in that the protection against the virus becomes better.”
Several severe cases of allergic reactions are reported to the unit for medicinal safety. “So far the reported side effects are not unexpected”, says Gunilla Sjölin Forsberg. This unit has now asked some of the many units that vaccinate to report side effects to better get a grip on the situation. This statement alone is shocking since according to normal practice, all side effects should automatically be reported – right?
A nurse who took the shot on wednesday last week is still feeling sick. She got high fever and shivers from the swine flu shot. “-I was shaking in my whole body. It was so sever that I could not even hold a glass of water in my hand.”, Lotta Lindström says.
“- I am now thinking about what it is I have been injected with. I really was affected. It feels really unpleasant.”
Maria Strindlund (27) is not so sure she made the right choice to tae the shot. She also got a severe fever and shivering reaction. “- Since I work as a nurse, I decided it was the best thing to do.”, she says. At first she felt nothing from the vaccinaton, but a few hours later the side effects kicked in. “- I got a extreme pain in my arm. I could no longer lift it.” The came the fever and the shivering. ” _ I was lying in bed shivering and was feeling very cold and stood in a hot shower to get warm.” She says many colleguse who also took the vaccine have had similar reactons. She has been taking many vaccines in the past without any reactions whatsoever.
Rebecka Andersson (39) was the first person to get the shot in Sweden. She became feverish and felt sick to her stomach from the shot. ” – I lost all energy”, she says. “-I am normally never sick so I understood it must be the vaccine.” Her class mates was vaccinated at the same time and she states that five out of nineteen also got sick from the swine flu vaccine.
Lotta Lindström (49), a nurse, states that she got the shot a week ago and still is not well. “- It feels very worrying”, she says. “- I did not sleep anything the night after the shot since the pain in my arm was so severe.” The day after, at work, the fever came. She later had headaches. She still today, a week after the shot feels sick.
Another nurse, Jennely (26), could hardly walk five meters after she got sick from the “swine flu” vaccination. She was completely healthy when she got the shot but the day after she had 39 degrees centigrade fever (102.2 F). “- I could hardly walk the five meters I had to the bathroom”, she says. The fever lasted for three days. sevreal of her colugueges at work had similar experiences. “- I know of at least ten that got fever , we are about 80 people at my workplace.”

There are indications that the swine flu vaccines that will soon start being administered in Finland tend to cause more side-effects than the ordinary seasonal flu shots.
“The vaccine acquired by Finland causes aches and swelling at the point of injection for many”, says Ilkka Julkunen, a research professor at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). In addition, the vaccine can also cause a light fever.
The reason for the side effects is in the effective ingredient, which is stronger than in ordinary flu vaccines. It’s purpose is to boost the body’s resistance to flu viruses.
“No serious harm has been described”, Julkunen emphasises. “About 20,000 doses of the vaccine acquired by Finland have been administered in tests.”
The testing took place in order to get permission to sell the product, and the side effects were known when the licence was granted. Julkunen says that the shot is worth taking in spite of the possible side effects, which are milder than the actual disease.
In the north of Sweden, health care personnel began receiving swine flu vaccines this week. The Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) reported that most of those who got the shot experienced mild symptoms. Sweden is using the same vaccine, which is being delivered to Finland.
Elisabet Eero, executive director of the health centre of Övertorneå on the Swedish side told YLE that 80 per cent of those vaccinated suffered symptoms typical of the swine flu, such as fever, headache, muscle pains, and a sore throat.
The symptoms emerged about five hours from receiving the injection. With some people the symptoms were so severe that they stayed at home.
Dozens of people in Finnish Lapland have come down with swine flu in the past couple of weeks. Only a few of the cases are serious, and one patient remains in intensive care in Rovaniemi.
“There are so many confirmed cases that we can now talk about an epidemic”, says Markku Broas, head physician of the unit of infectious diseases at the Lapland Central Hospital in Rovaniemi.

Health care workers in New York will no longer be forced to get the H1N1 swine flu vaccine, CBS 2 has learned.
A state Supreme Court judge issued a restraining order Friday against the state from enforcing the controversial mandatory vaccination.
The order came as the Public Employees Federation sued to reverse a policy requiring vaccination against the seasonal and swine flu viruses, arguing that state Health Commissioner Richard Daines overstepped his authority.
Three parties – the Public Employees Federaion, New York State United Teachers, and an attorney representing four Albany nurses – challenged the order and for now the vaccination for nurses, doctors, aides, and non-medical staff members who might be in a patient’s room will remain voluntary.
The health department had said the workers must be vaccinated by November 30 or face possible disciplinary action, including dismissal. PEF said it encourages members to get flu vaccinations, but opposes the emergency regulation requiring the vaccine as a condition of employment.
A judge granted a temporary restraining order Friday morning, PEF spokeswoman Debbie Miles said. A court hearing is scheduled for October 30.
New York was the first state in the country to initially mandate flu vaccinations for its health care workers, but many health care workers quickly protested against the ruling. In Hauppauge, workers outside a local clinic screamed “No forced shots!” when the mandate came down at the end of September.
“I don’t even tend to the sick. I am in the nutrition field. They are telling me I must get the shot because I work in a health clinic setting,” said Paula Small, a Women, Infants and Children health care worker.
Small said she would refuse to be vaccinate, worried the vaccine is untested and unproven, leaving her vulnerable. In 1976, there were some deaths associated with a swine flu vaccination.
Registered nurse Frank Mannino, 50, was also angry. He said the state regulation violates his personal freedom and civil rights.
“And now I will lose my job if I don’t take the regular flu shot or the swine flu shot.”
When asked if he’s willing to lose his job, Mannino said, “Absolutely. I will not take it, will not be forced. This is still America.”
The protest also shook Albany. Hundreds of demonstrators demanded freedom of choice. After all, as health care professionals, they argue they’re already constantly washing their hands and aren’t likely to transmit or contract the flu.

“It’s certainly their prerogative to voice their opinion,” said Dr. Susan Donelan of Stony Brook University Hospital.
Donelan said most in the medical community see the benefits and safety of the shots and welcome them, and that hospitals must obey the law.
“Our hospital is committed to following the mandate to have our personnel vaccinated,” she said.
The state said change was needed this year to save lives. Typically only about 45 percent of health care workers take advantage of voluntary flu vaccines.
More than 150 institutional outbreaks of seasonal and H1N1 flu are expected this year in hospitals, nursing homes and hospice centers.
There is also a strong resistance to the vaccine from the general public. A new Harvard University poll shows that only four in 10 adults intend to take the vaccine themselves, and only six in 10 plan to give it to their children.

Despite national polls indicating that only one third of Canadians intend to get the H1N1 flu vaccine, a Federal Health Minister says it is the government’s goal to vaccinate 100% of the population.
“My goal is to have 100 per cent of Canadians (vaccinated),” chief public health officer Dr. David Butler-Jones told reporters at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg.
The minister stated that the vaccine will be rolled out in the first week of November, with the goal of vaccinating everyone by the end of December.
“No step is going to be skipped,” the health minister pledged. Once the vaccine is approved, it will be shipped to the provinces and territories and local health authorities will operate immunization programs.”
Butler-Jones made the statement at a press gathering to announce a funding boost for swine flu research from the federal government in the shape of $2.4 million.
“At the end of the day, it is an individual choice,” he said. “(But) if you don’t want H1N1, get the vaccine.” Butler-Jones urged.
“We’re very fortunate as Canadians to be able to have that choice.” he added
Last week a new Canadian Press Harris-Decima poll indicated that only a third of people in Canada intend to take the shot. That figure is down from 45% in a similar poll conducted in August.
Only 11 per cent of respondents described themselves as very concerned about H1N1.
Butler-Jones scolded a portion of Canadian health workers who have also indicated that they do not intend to get vaccinated:
“Doctors and nurses are not immortal, as much as we might think we are,” he said. “And, unfortunately, if we’re not immunized, and we have influenza, we’ll take it into the nursing home and hospital and, potentially, we’ll kill our patients.”
The concerns of Canadian doctors and Health Workers have been proven justified by a study led by Dr Danuta Skowronski of the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control and Dr Gaston De Serres of Laval University, Quebec. The study found that seasonal flu jabs could double the risk of developing swine flu.
The World Health Organisation has dismissed the research as inconclusive, however some provincial and territorial public health authorities in Canada, including those in Ontario, have expressed great concern, leading to threats to delay or cancel mass vaccination programs.
Canada is to use the adjuvanted GlaxoSmithKline H1N1 vaccine Pandemrix, which contains both squalene and thimerosal, which have been linked with neurological side effects.
Pandemrix has also been “fast tracked” based on research only using “mock up” bird flu vaccines dating from 2007 and 2008.
The Canadian government, like those of the US and the UK, has agreed to protect the producer of it’s H1N1 vaccine from lawsuits over potential side effects.
The majority of cases of swine flu in Canada have turned out to be mild, with the virus having been linked to 79 deaths. The seasonal flu usually kills around 2000 people per year in Canada.
On Wednesday Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper appeared to hedge when asked if he and his family would get vaccinated.

A Kansas City clinic has set a disturbing precedent by kicking out a two-year old boy because his mother had failed to follow childhood vaccinations schedule guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Priority Care Pediatrics told Angela Andrews to leave their clinic with her son Elijah because of a new immunization policy.
“If we’re not going to get him on the CDC schedule, they’re not going to treat us,” Andrews told KMBC news.
Andrews told the CNN affiliate network that her son was behind on shots because she was concerned that levels of aluminum contained within the vaccines would damage his health.
“I’m not the expert by any means, but I’m the expert when it comes to my son. He was sick a lot when he was younger. He was more susceptible to flu and colds. I just didn’t feel like vaccines were safe until he was hardier,” Andrews said.

The clinic has stated that it will not tolerate non-vaccination because it leaves other children at risk, logic that doesn’t quite add up because if they have been vaccinated they should be protected.
The clinic’s policy sets a dangerous precedent whereby parental choice over whether to vaccinate their children or not becomes irrelevant, given the threat to withdraw healthcare altogether.
Besides certain laws that apply only to government medical specialists – there is no law that enforces the mandatory use of any vaccine in the United States. Waiver forms for personal or religious exemptions are freely available. Enforced medical treatment is an assault and a violation of the 14th amendment.
Concerned parents across the U.S. are leading a nationwide revolt against unnecessary, untested and dangerous vaccines as CDC records show a growing amount of religious exemptions on vaccine forms.
Perhaps as a result of this growing mistrust, some lawmakers seem determined to ignore the Constitution and to make mandatory all vaccinations recommended by the CDC for all children, including infants and toddlers.
More recently, large Pharmaceutical companies, unable to sell the “benefits” of vaccinations to make enough profit out of them, have increasingly turned to state legislatures and attempted to pay off Governors and other officials to curry favor and force young children to take vaccines such as the flu shot and the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
However, big pharma has faced a fierce backlash from concerned parents and religious organizations.
With the advent of the H1N1 “pandemic”, and the media hype surrounding it, it is expected that more and more clinics and schools will begin to institute similar unconstitutional policies to that of Priority Care Pediatrics in Kansas.

Doctors and hospitals are expressing concern that the FluMist vaccine could endanger people because it contains live H1N1 virus, unlike the injectable shot that contains antibodies. With no less than 60 per cent of the U.S. population immunodeficient in one way or another, could FluMist be a pandemic waiting to happen?
Hospitals in Colorado and elsewhere are shunning the FluMist H1N1 vaccine, a nasal spray that contains live swine flu virus, because of fears it could infect people with weakened immune systems and underlying health conditions.
“Several metro area hospitals said they won’t be taking the FluMist because they don’t want to endanger patients,” reports TheDenverChannel.com.
Lois VanFleet, infection prevention specialist at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, expressed concern that doctors and nurses who inhaled the live virus could infect patients whose immune systems are compromised.
However, H1N1 FluMist is being rolled out nationwide from this week, including at “drive-through clinics” across the country where the nasal spray is administered while people sit in their cars with their window wide open (see top picture).
The live virus contained in the nasal spray is weakened but it can be transmitted from person to person for up to three weeks.
According to studies, “the odds of transmitting the virus after receiving the nasal spray are about 2.5 percent,” with children the most susceptible.
The nasal spray is being rolled out on a mass scale before the widespread introduction of the injectable vaccine. Some fear that the nasal spray will contribute to a wider pandemic, which will then provide governments with the crisis they need to make the injectable vaccine mandatory.
“This would accelerate the move to a state of emergency, cripple the US health care system, and would result in the “need” to have military, eventually UN troops, take control,” notes TheFluCase.com.
“Also, all public assemblies, including courts, would be prohibited, thereby satisfying a condition for the imposition of martial law, mass quarantines, and forced vaccinations for the rest of us.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, the swine flu scandal of 1976, when more people died from the vaccine than the actual virus, was what caused the live virus to be removed from future vaccines. However, it is admitted that FluMist contains the live virus.
“It has been documented that the live viruses from the vaccine can be shed (and potentially spread into the community) from recipient children for up to 21 days, and even longer from adults. Viral shedding also puts breastfeeding infants at risk if the mother has been given FluMist,” writes Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, one of the most outspoken physicians in the country on the hazards of vaccines and vaccination.
FluMist’s own package insert reads as follows, “FluMist® recipients should avoid close contact with immunocompromised individuals for at least 21 days.”
“The warning is specifically directed toward those living in the same household with an immunocompromised person, but the on-going release of live viruses throughout the community may be a significant risk to everyone who has a weak, or weakened, immune system,” writes Tenpenny, pointing out that if one takes into account a plethora of health conditions that could be classified as contributing to immunodeficiency, as much as 60% of the entire population could be considered to be “chemically immunosuppressed.”
“An ever greater concern about FluMist is the contents within the vaccine. Each 0.5ml of the formula contains 10 6.5-7.5 particles of live, attenuated influenza virus. That means that between 10 million and 100 million viral particles will be forcefully injected into the nostrils when administered. The viral strain was developed by serial passage through “specific pathogen-free primary chick kidney cells” and then grown in “specific pathogen-free eggs.” That means that the culture media was free of pathogens that were specifically tested for, but not a culture that was necessarily “pathogen-free.” The risk that the vaccine may contain contaminant avian retroviruses still remains,” warns Tenpenny.
One of the pharmaceutical companies developing nasal spray vaccines is Baxter International, who were caught earlier this year releasing batches of vaccines from a lab in Austria that were contaminated live bird flu virus, otherwise known as H5N1.

Editor: How long before getting the flu shot before you travel is mandatory? No shot, no fly.
SACRAMENTO, CA – Starting Friday morning, flu shots are available at Sacramento International Airport. An airport spokesperson says it’s a service aimed at the the busy traveler and it’s another way for the airport to try to stay flu-free.
The airport will provide flu, pneumonia, and tetanus shots in Terminal A. The vaccinations will be available in Terminal B on Wednesday, October 7. The flu and pneumonia shots cost $30 and the tetanus shots cost $35.
Passengers can get a shot either before they board a flight or after they land. Some travelers think it’s a good idea.
“There’s no reason that I wouldn’t do it,” said traveler Steve Chalkins. “I think it’s a good service for people.”
“I think it’s a wonderful idea because you have people coming in from all over the country with different germs and it would protect some of us,” said traveler Maxine Fields.

Harvard Survey: Only 1/3 Of Americans Believe Swine Flu Vaccines Are Safe

A survey conducted by Harvard University has found that only one third of adults trust the safety of the imminently available H1N1 vaccine.
Just 40% of respondents said they would take the swine flu shot in the poll carried out by Harvard Opinion Research Program at Harvard School of Public Health.
The study, funded under a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also found that respondents were worried about side effects or not concerned about catching the flu at all.
44% of respondents who were parents said they were unsure over getting their children vaccinated against H1N1, with 21% of those parents saying they absolutely will not allow their kids to be vaccinated.
Parents said that they were concerned about their children getting other illnesses from the vaccine and that they do not trust public health officials to tell them about vaccine safety.
The results show a great public distrust in the vaccine with just one third (33%) of the public viewing the H1N1 vaccine as very safe “generally for most people to take”. Even less (18%) believe it is safe for children aged 6 months to 2 years, and only 13% feel it is safe for pregnant women.
Almost one third (31%) of respondents think that public health officials’ concerns over H1N1 flu have been overblown.
Of the 40% of adults who said they would not take the shot, the majority said they may reconsider if people begin dying from the virus en mass.
The survey was conducted with a broad representative national sample of 1042 adults aged 18 and over.
The survey dovetails with a similar poll from Consumer Reports, one of the top-ten-circulation magazines in the country, that found almost two thirds of Americans would either refuse the vaccine outright or wait for more information before considering vaccinating their children.
As we have previously reported, both the GlaxoSmithKilne and the Novartis H1N1 vaccines contain both the novel adjuvant squalene, which has been linked to Gulf War Syndrome, and thimerosal, the mercury based preservative that some scientists have testified can cause brain disorders.
The vaccines have been rushed through safety procedures while the government has provided pharmaceutical companies with blanket immunity from lawsuits arriving out of the vaccine causing deaths and injuries.
In related news, more hospitals are demanding that workers be mandated to take the H1N1 shot, while Sacramento International Airport is to offer vaccinations in its terminals in a precedent setting move that critics have described as concerning.
