Second explosion far bigger than intended, ringleader tells London Times

The ringleader of the Bali bombers claims that the attack on the nightclub district in 2002 was much larger than he had expected and that the only explanation for so much carnage was that the bombers were aided by the CIA, KGB or Mossad.
Imam Samudra, the alleged mastermind behind the attack who also chose the targets, told the London Times in an interview that the second explosion was bigger than the bombers had expected and the attack killed far more people than originally intended.
The death toll amounted to 202 people, 168 of whom were foreign nationals including 88 Australians and 28 Britons.
He claimed the bombers had never meant to kill so many people. What happened at Paddy’s Bar and the Sari Club was “unacceptable”, he said.
Had he made the bomb? “No, no, no!” he said, shaking his head. “I didn’t help to make it, and who made the bomb and when I don’t know.”
The second explosion was much bigger than they had expected, he said.
The only explanation, he suggested, was that “the CIA or KGB or Mossad” – those familiar bogeymen of the conspiracy theorist – had somehow tampered with the bomb. “It is very possible,” he claimed.
Despite The Times’ best efforts to scoff at the claim, the fact that U.S. and British authorities were tipped off in advance of the bombing is documented.
The second bomb, which was loaded inside a Mitsubishi L300 van, was detonated as people fled out into the streets as a result of the panic generated by the smaller first bomb which was detonated inside the nightclub.
Initial reports said the Mitsubishi bomb consisted of C4, a military grade plastic explosive which is difficult to obtain, but the story was soon changed and the bomb was said to be of a more crude design. The sheer devastation the bomb wrought on surrounding buildings in the area suggested that a powerful explosive was used.
Allegations of U.S. and British government prior knowledge and even involvement in the Bali bombing have repeatedly surfaced.
During an interview for an Australian documentary, former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid unequivocally fingered the Indonesian authorities as the true culprits behind the October 2002 bombing. Wahid said the authorities were acting at the behest of Western intelligence agencies.
Indonesia has become renowned for rampant corruption and state involvement in terrorist atrocities. Sources told the film makers that government-connected criminals were carrying out an agenda of depopulation in the targeted areas by lowering the value of property and resources, then buying it on the cheap.
By following international news reports out of Taiwan at the time, we were able to confirm that the U.S. government had advance knowledge of the Bali bombing. They passed that knowledge on to the Taiwanese government and told them to keep the information top secret.
Hours before the bombing took place, the U.S. withdrew all its administrative staff and diplomats from Indonesia, citing a “security threat”. The British government also received the same warning but this wasn’t passed on to any relevant authority or the hundreds of victims carelessly making their way to a beach party.
Immediately after the bombing, the FBI, the Australian Secret Service and British secret police swooped in to the bomb site and ruthlessly took charge of the investigation, much to the chagrin of the Indonesian authorities and the Balinese police.

A Silicon Valley lawmaker is gaining momentum with a bill that would require “climate change” to be among the science topics that all California public school students are taught.
The measure, by state Sen. Joe Simitian, D-Palo Alto, also would mandate that future science textbooks approved for California public schools include climate change.
“You can’t have a science curriculum that is relevant and current if it doesn’t deal with the science behind climate change,” Simitian said. “This is a phenomenon of global importance and our kids ought to understand the science behind that phenomenon.”
The state Senate approved the bill, SB 908, Jan. 30 by a 26-13 vote. It heads now to the state Assembly. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken numerous actions to reduce global warming, but he has yet to weigh in on Simitian’s bill. Other Republicans in the Capitol, however, are not happy about the proposal.
Some say the science on global warming isn’t clear, while others worry the bill would inject environmental propaganda into classrooms.
“I find it disturbing that this mandate to teach this theory is not accompanied by a requirement that the discussion be science-based and include a critical analysis of all sides of the subject,” said Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks, during the Senate debate.

Hundreds of scientists, economists, and public policy experts are set to meet in Manhattan next month to discuss the other side of the climate change debate that the establishment media prefers to pretend does not exist.
The 2008 International Conference on Climate Change seeks to “call attention to widespread dissent in the scientific community to the alleged “consensus” that the modern warming is primarily man-made and is a crisis,” according to The Heartland Institute.
Of course the fact that the establishment likes to engage in regular mass public deception by claiming the debate about global warming is over and any dissent is tantamount to holocaust denial doesn’t bode well for potential media coverage of the conference, unlike December’s UN meeting in Bali, which was lavished with endless ninnying importance about the need for a global carbon tax to save the planet from the evils of plant food (CO2).
The “consensus” that came out of Bali was again enforced by threats, intimidation and ignorance, as skeptical scientists who tried to present contradictory arguments were shunned and ignored, with many running into difficulties even trying to gain access to the event, with the organizers scared stiff that their official orthodoxy of man-made warming would be challenged.
The New York conference will also highlight an issue that is always overlooked by self-righteous, self-important morons who like to lecture the rest of us about how to live our lives – the fact that the global warming bandwagon spells disaster and misery for third world populations who are trying to develop their countries and wrestle themselves free from the shackles of poverty.
Following last year’s Bali resolution to impose a global carbon tax, over one hundred prominent scientists signed a letter dismissing the move as a futile bureaucratic scheme which would diminish prosperity and increase human suffering.
Did the media even acknowledge the story? Not at all, because it dared challenge the sacred cow that scientists uniformly agree on man-made global warming, a myth that will be maintained until hell freezes over, presumably from global cooling, which we were told was the big threat in the 1970’s.
“The global warming debate that the public and policymakers usually see is one-sided, dominated by government scientists and government organizations agenda-driven to find data that suggest a human impact on climate and to call for immediate government action, if only to fund their own continued research, but often to achieve political agendas entirely unrelated to the science of climate change. There is another side, but in recent years it has been denied a platform from which to speak,” reads the press release for the Manhattan conference.
The event is the first major gathering of climate change skeptics and intends to be a launch pad for future conferences, all of which will probably be sidelined, shunned and blackballed by an agenda-driven bias media that seeks to inculcate the fallacy that sober-minded scientists aren’t standing up to the mindless fearmongering being pumped out by the global warming cult.
